Bun-patty ratio was of reasonable size, patty was juicy, and bacon was decently crispy. The onion rings were fine, but probably not something I'd order again. Seating is plentiful in here. Pretty barebones place, don't expect too much in terms of ambiance. Overall I like it. I'll return if I want something besides a fat boy burger.

I don't really give out 5 stars that often but this place really deserves it. I am still shocked and amazed at how good their burger is! I ordered the cheeseburger ($5) - kinda pricey compared to VJ's. But Mrs. Mike's burgers are bigger comparatively speaking. The cheeseburger is on a sesame bun, probably the size of a whopper. The patty is just slightly bigger than the bun and cooked with a slight crisp on the outside but still juicy inside - I love that! The flavour of the beef patty is perfectly seasoned and balances so well with the cheese, pickle, chili, onion and mustard. They don't put too much chili on their burgers so it's not as messy to eat but you still get the chili flavour. Of course I had to order their fries ($3). Now I'm torn on their fries because I was expecting the type of home cut fries (with the skin on) like at VJs but the ones here look and taste like McDonald's fries (although they taste a bit better than McDs). All the prices listed on the board include taxes so it'll be a round number when you pay (CASH ONLY). They have a king burger (which I'm curious to what in includes), no fat boy but maybe the king burger is their version of one??? They also serve chili fries, milkshakes, and chicken fingers. The food was well cooked and very good, it has not changed since I was last in a McD's. In other words, they are known for consistancy. I dined in and ordered at a kiosk mainly because ALL of the staff were Asian and none of them had a good grasp of the English language. I'm not being racist, I'm calling it the way I see it. I stood behind someone before going to the kiosk and he had to repeat his order 5x for them to understand AND it took 3 McD's staff standing there to try to understand him! I placed my order without issues, walked over to the pickup counter and it was ready in about 4 minutes. That was very efficient although I also got caught in the language barrier. First there were four staff very close to the counter and they all ignored me. Eventually I had to call out loudly for assistance. A manager came over and I said that the kiosk app did not allow me to order extra onion, could they do that? I had to repeat myself twice. He said that could be done. Before he came over he was speaking an Indian language to all of the back staff and when he finished with me he went back to that language. I have no issues with other languages, however, it's not one of Canada's official languages. I really don't understand why they must communicate in their own language AND why they must speak so fast and loud. Anyway, service was fast, food was good, the restaurant was very clean and a young man was mopping the floors when I was there. I even found a clean table which seems to be rare for most fast food restaurants. I would go back to this McD's, although not often only because it's not really on my list of favorite places overall. SIDEBAR: Isn't it hillarious all of the one star reviews here that the reviewers only have 1 review? In other words, they only review this McD's. All of these one star reviews are hack jobs to discredit this store, but of course, Yelp doesn't see it, their algorithms and AI don't see it. Go figure. When is Yelp going to REMOVE the one review hack reviews AND more important why do they continue to have an average score based on scores from when the business was first listed. Once I was checked in to my hotel room and had settled in, I did a search for a McDonald's in Steinbach and found this one. I was curious and decided to order the same Diet Coke for pickup through the app. It said that all fountain drinks were unavailable. Huh? Perhaps maintenance was scheduled on the machines. I'm glad that I took the chance and got my drinks at a different McDonald's. During my stay in Steinbach, I did visit this restaurant twice. Both times were through the drive-thru. I first got a medium iced oat coffee through the McDonald's app. It was $1. I liked changing things up, as I'm not a regular coffee drinker. However, I do enjoy iced coffee, especially when I can get oat beverage in it. I fetched my drink in the morning before heading into Winnipeg. I got a nice woman at the drive-thru. I provided my order code. She found it and said that I could proceed to the next window. She was cheerful. She gave me my drink. I thanked her and continued westbound. I loved my iced coffee. It was cold. It's wasn't too sweet. It was enjoyable to sip during my drive. On my second visit, I got a large Diet Coke. I also ordered it through the app, but was heading back to the hotel after a nice day in Winnipeg. I got a different female staffer. She was nice. It was the same drill. I gave her my order code. I then picked up my drink. Diet Coke at McDonald's is a treat. It's cold, fizzy, crisp, and delicious. I had a great couple of experiences picking up orders at this McDonald's. This location was the closest one, so I drove over here to get a late lunch. There was lots of parking around this eatery. I backed into a spot and headed over to the entrance. There's one door to enter and another door to exit. I appreciated the flow. I got to the counter. A polite, nice woman said hi and took my order. I got the following items: - Pineapple quencher - Two burger steaks with rice - Spaghetti (side order) - Peach mango pie I paid with a credit card. The transaction went smoothly. I got a buzzer that would signify that my order was ready to pick up. It had my favourite number on it, so I knew that all was right with the world. I found a table to sit at. My phone was running low battery-wise, so I had it charge thanks to my power bank as I sat there. It didn't take long for my order to be ready. I saw and felt the buzzer go haywire on the table. I brought it up to the front to exchange it for my tray of food and a drink. I thanked the woman and happy enjoyed my late lunch. I love the pineapple quencher. Sure, it's sugary, but I don't have it often. It's cheerful and yummy. It's like liquid sunshine in a cup. The burger steaks with rice were delicious. It's my go-to meal. The burger steaks were yummy. I loved the mushroom gravy that I mixed in with the perfectly steamed rice. It's comfort food. It's a habit for me to get a side order of spaghetti. I loved the sliced hot dogs in it. The spaghetti was al dente. The sauce had a tangy sweetness to it that was enjoyable. If you need to use the washroom, you must get the access code from a staff member. They are separate stalls and are constantly maintained for cleanliness. I saw staff check them out three times while I was there for an hour. Although you're probably not supposed to get a refill of Diet Pepsi after purchasing a pineapple refresher, I did. I needed to wash down my main meal and get to the peach mango pie. No staffer said anything, which was nice. The peach mango pie is different at Jollibee locations in Winnipeg compared to the one that I frequent in Scarborough. The pie is cheaper in price. The crust is thinner and less doughy. It's crispier. This pie is so good. It was packed full of peach mango filling in every bite. This eatery has a drive-thru. I'll need to try it out next time just to say that I've used it to place an order. It was nice to try a different Jollibee eatery while in Winnipeg. I have one more location remaining before I can say that I have visited all Jollibee locations in the city. This Jollibee restaurant was clean. Staff were friendly and helpful. The food and drink were excellent. I'd return when I'm in the area again. (289)
