Tip: Order through the McDonald's app and collect points towards free food, drinks, and more. On my way over to Steinbach from Winnipeg, I had bought a couple of large Diet Coke drinks at a McDonald's there through its app before my departure. Once I was checked in to my hotel room and had settled in, I did a search for a McDonald's in Steinbach and found this one. I was curious and decided to order the same Diet Coke for pickup through the app. It said that all fountain drinks were unavailable. Huh? Perhaps maintenance was scheduled on the machines. I'm glad that I took the chance and got my drinks at a different McDonald's. During my stay in Steinbach, I did visit this restaurant twice. Both times were through the drive-thru. I first got a medium iced oat coffee through the McDonald's app. It was $1. I liked changing things up, as I'm not a regular coffee drinker. However, I do enjoy iced coffee, especially when I can get oat beverage in it. I fetched my drink in the morning before heading into Winnipeg. I got a nice woman at the drive-thru. I provided my order code. She found it and said that I could proceed to the next window. She was cheerful. She gave me my drink. I thanked her and continued westbound. I loved my iced coffee. It was cold. It's wasn't too sweet. It was enjoyable to sip during my drive. On my second visit, I got a large Diet Coke. I also ordered it through the app, but was heading back to the hotel after a nice day in Winnipeg. I got a different female staffer. She was nice. It was the same drill. I gave her my order code. I then picked up my drink. Diet Coke at McDonald's is a treat. It's cold, fizzy, crisp, and delicious. I had a great couple of experiences picking up orders at this McDonald's. I went here one, or twice, or thrice, or more. I don't remember but what I do know is that if I put all that money in an index fund and wait 50 years I would have a nice chunk of cash. Over all I do enjoy McDonald's. It's a bit loud but the food makes up for the lack of peace while eating inside. I read more

Slowest McDonald's I've ever been to. On top of that, we ordered meals through the mobile app, got half-full fries, no straws, and no napkins. Didn't have time to go back and get everything. Frustrating because I want the $1 coffee, but I can't stand the restaurant. Often treated rudely as though there's something wrong with me for wanting food in less than 10 minutes. read more

Slow,slow,slow!!! Every time I go to this McDonald's I get told to go park and they'll bring my food to me. Whether it's fries or a cheeseburger. Drive thru in the morning is always backed up minimum 5 minutes from the time you order get my coffee. Probably the only time I don't get parked. The other day the drive thru girl didn't put my lid on my coffee properly my double double spilt all over me a my front seats. Took 3 days for them to get back to me and they offered me a drivers side seat wash from the chamie. What about my cup holders floor Matt's and passenger seat. Now my vehicle smells like rotten milk. I hate going here but what other choice do you have. Tim Hortons coffee and service is not much better. read more

McDonald's. My favourite place for coffee...seriously. The coffee is great here at the Steinbach location and it doesn't break the bank. Lately I've been collecting their coffee stamps (I love free stuff). Buy 7 coffees and you get the 8th for free. One of the reasons the coffee is better at this McDs is the water. I've been to lots of other McDs around Manitoba and if the local water is gross, then so is the coffee. The food is standard McDonald's. You know what you're getting, that's the advantage of the whole franchise thing, consistency! It the coffee in town at McDs is worth stopping for. Great breakfast menu too. read more

What happened guys? 20-25 minutes to get a burger and fries? WHAT IS WITH THE SLOW SERVICE every visit these days? Take the drive-thru, same story. Oh you have to park in the parking lot and we'll bring the food out to you. Enough. Fix it. This McDonald's used to be the fastest in Manitoba, today it's the slowest. Something broke, fix it. Also, stop putting plastic in my meals. I nearly had to go to the dentist when a plastic piece went in between my teeth a couple weeks ago. read more

For a McDonalds it's substandard. Had cold fries asked for different toy in Happy Meal was told they don't have any. 2 minutes later other got different toys. I don't eat McD often but never on this planet had such bad service. read more

I love Mcdonald's. It is one of my favourite restaurants, yet this one i did not love that much. It was busy, crowded, it took forever to get my food and worst of all, my mcnuggets didn't taste that well. 2 stars is me being nice read more

With the new look at this location the service has dropped off. We were in there on April 27 2011 at about 6:30 pm, ordered coffee and a tea and had to stand there by the til while the girl behind the counter kept taking orders and no one seem to be getting our coffees and tea. Is it a new policy for counter people to keep taking orders and not finish the previous order? We were not impressed and commented to each other that maybe Tim Horton's across the highway would have been a better choice. read more
