Had to find a new place when my usual waxer got sick. So I found this place on yelp and went by the reviews! So first of all, I've been here 3 times. (But I've been waxing for almost 2 years) I've had Mariah, Summer, and Sally as my waxers! What I love about this place is that there's ALWAYS availability! I can call in a day before and still get an appointment which is amazing. My favorite waxer so far is Summer. Summer did an amazing job of keeping me distracted with conversation, and understanding that since I wanted a Brazilian, she gave me a REAL Brazilian! I hated European wax center bc I would pay $50 for a Brazilian and then be left unsatisfied bc id still have hair and the waxer would rush through it which was super painful. Summer took her time, made sure to get everything, and this was honestly the least painful Brazilian I've had! read more

Just moved back to LB and found this place on yelp. Decided to give it a try with all the good reviews and it's only 1 mile away from my place. I LOVE this place! Shannon did my Brazilian wax ($39) and she made the experience go by so quick since she actually talks tk you. She even has this technique that makes the pain Less painful! Price is actually not bad either. I've been to much more expensive wax places and they aren't even as thorough. Shannon even made sure she didn't miss any spots. Shannon is my gal. She makes the overall experience better. A couple of times I had to get another wax specialist and you really can't go wrong with any of them. They're all good at what they do. And can you really go wrong with a flat $39 Brazilian wax? (Even if you miss your appt the price doesn't increase like bronzed sugar does). I've recommended so many people here and they're getting more and more busy. Still very accommodating. Maybe a 5 minute wait once you get in with an appt. in and out within 15 minutes. read more

So back in early December I shaved and got super annoyed at how frustrating it was (I am a bigger girl, so angles and all) - which lead to me emailing Wax Candy to ask how soon after shaving I should come in for a Brazilian. They confirmed that about 2 weeks would be ideal, so I put the idea aside for a few weeks. Which meant I totally forgot about making an appointment in advance, and on the day I wanted to get it done I had to call them and see if they had any openings - sure enough they did! This is despite it being right before the holidays, which means I felt very lucky. I had one consideration, I take a blood thinner, so when I got there I made sure that wasn't a problem, and they agreed that we would go carefully to make sure it wasn't an issue. No problems came up, the process was smooth, and afterwards so was I! It wasn't very painful, I was comfortable the whole time. HOORAY! To make sure I knew who to request next time, I had her name written on a card. Fast forward to today... I cannot find the card! Add to that my swiss cheese memory and I can't describe what she looks like, either. So I give them a call and ask if they can look up my old appointment based on time and date, so with that I was able to be matched up with Vanessa again for tomorrow. I am so looking forward to it, the hair has grown back so much lighter after only one session, I can't help but be excited for how nice it will be in the future. Wax quality, great. I overall love this place. I got hooked on Wax Candy since I first tried their DTLA location; however, I am closer to Long Beach so I come here instead. Parking is unfortunately tricky around the area. I try to go there as early as possible but it is what it is. I find the place is easy to book with, and they are usually on time if not early to take you in for your appointment. I don't have a favorite waxer but they're generally great at what they do. I do have to lament sharing that sometimes they miss a few spots. Their pricing though is great I'd can't complain and so I just go over those spots when I see them later that day. read more

This store has multiple locations but glad they had one in Long Beach which was nearby where I live. I needed to get my eyebrows done asap because I didn't like how they looked! It was my first time here. So, I e-mailed them first before they opened and asked if they have any appointments available for the same day. They replied within an hour which was pretty impressive because some places take hours or half a day to respond. They accommodated me right away for the time slot I preferred :) When I entered the place, everyone was so nice and friendly! I was visiting LA from NYC and looking for a place to get a brazilian wax. I recently just started waxing and due to sensitive skin, I use chocolate wax. I did a few searches on Google but couldn't find Chocolate wax in LA. I did, however, find tons of great reviews for Wax Candy. I booked my appt and met with Vanessa. Vanessa had not heard of chocolate wax, but told me the benefits of the Azulene wax and oil used at Wax Candy. This wax did not disappoint. It was soft and virtually painless. Vanessa was nice, patient and did a great job at minimizing my discomfort. Her technique was precise. I am very happy with my results. This is my new go-to spot when Im visiting LA. read more

About two years ago I got my first Brazilian and I hated it so I said I would never go back. Today, I went in and saw Vanessa, and she completely changed everything! After my session I don't see how I'll go back to shaving. Yes, it hurt a little bit, but she talked to me the whole time and was very informative. Oh my gosh I love this place I found it on yelp about a year ago and I've been hooked ever since!! I see Amy about every 3 to 4 weeks for Brazilian an upper leg she's so gentle sweet and I love her to death I couldn't go without her however when she's not available I see Kelly and she's a delight as well!!! Their prices are extremely great however within the last month or two I think they raise their prices- check online for new prices! but there still decent and below the typical price that you pay - they no longer offer the yelp check in so please disregard, that I am aware of. I love the fact that they send you a text message to remind you of your appointment and you can text message back to cancel or change that appointment which is totally convenient for me being a super busy person. Everyone from the women at reception to my amazing esthetician, Shannon, my experience at wax candy was exceptional. Here are the highlights: making an appointment was easy (quick call to receive a text with appt info), facility was easy to find, it was clean!, front desk was helpful, wait time before I saw someone was minimal, wax... I think I saw someone else say this so I'm borrowing... was downright enjoyable! Shannon took amazing care to make sure it wasn't too painful and she was just a delight to talk to. Wax Candy is a great waxing place, I totally recommend coming here for your waxing needs. I always get Brazilians here. Shannon & Mariah are my personal favorite estheticians. They talk to you while you're getting waxed & it relieves some of the anxiety when they're up in your private parts lol. both ladies are relatively painless, quick, and thorough.
