Fresh and healthy Polish donuts filled with jam or chocolate . Easily accessible by metro (perfect dessert spot after brunch - just next door ). Courteous service and I heard the shop also sells delicious apple turnovers and pretzels - will definitely try them on my next visit!

Every detail at Pâtisserie Wawel add to the central europeen feel as does the smell and taste of their products. Heavenly pastries, bread, croissants and of course : Pączki! A delightfully natural fruit filling inside fresh dough covered in powdered sugar or glaze for a fantastic homemade taste was an experience we don't regret.

My husband loves this little corner bakery. We come here often when visiting Montreal. We always get the mango mousse cake with a double shot espresso. They also offer other Polish baked goods, sandwiches, salads, pastas, and pierogies among others. You must try their donuts. The prices are very reasonable considering everything is made in house. Love the ambience. They have seating area in the corner with a view of the outside. There is a terrace for when the weather is nicer.

When i first discovered the ponki a few years back, i never went back for the regular donuts. This place has it all! Charm, delicious coffee, delicious breads, delicious pastries and so much more! I really do come here for the ponki though. 1,25$ each plus taxes or 6 for 6$ taxes included. I obviously go for the box of six. I believe they offer 4 flavours: cream, chocolate, apricots and the classic, plum. So yummy!!! For lunch, they also have a variety of sandwiches that are very affordable. So for under 10$, you can have a really good satisfying lunch. Their artisanal bread is also a must when i stop by. I usually by a loaf with some polish sausages. This place is across Frontenac metro or you can park quite easily on the street if you get there early in the day. The staff is very small but oh so, so nice! Go on! Go try a plum ponki!

Very fresh and DELICIOUS pączki (ponki). Get a dozen, they'll disappear fast. Outside seating when the weather is nice, love that.

Tasty and cheap. Excellent customer service. Even more value on their day-old rack. Check it out!

My favorite was def the pistachio but the strawberry was surprisingly amazing as well. The jam was so fresh and rich. All the creams oozed out (dare I say, too much yummy goodness?? Never) Absolutely amazing, hands down the best bakery we tried during our trip. Would fly back just to eat here again. Location: hidden away down a flight of stairs. Some indoor and outdoor seating. Near the water so you can go on a walk and sit along the waterfront!

We were…read moretaking one last stroll around Vieux-Montréal and looking for a little snack - so I whipped out my phone and La Cave came up as being close by. The reviews looked great, so we made our way over for some bakes. I assume La Cave gets its name from the fact that you are kinda entering a cave. The bakery is located in a basement surrounded in stone both on the exterior and interior. The bakery isn't large, but it's arranged in a way that foot traffic flows well. They have a good variety of bakes, though we were there relatively late in the day so some had already run out. Despite that, we had several to choose from. We decided to go with the ham and cheese croissant and one of their stuffed croissants. The former was pretty standard - there's wasn't a lot of ham but the flavor was there. The latter was one of those viral circular croissants that have been popular on social media; they had three flavors and I went with the lemon meringue. It was pretty good - it had a good ratio of stuffing to pastry and the lemon curd had a bright flavor. Service as good, the team was eager to help and super efficient. Overall, I had a good experience at La Cave a Manger - there are definitely some good bakes here and I wouldn't hesitate to return to try more of their menu.

The Bakery/tea room is located near the Marché de Maisonneuve in a lively sector, the decor is very cute and if unlike me you're a fan of pink then you'll enjoy it even more. They have a huge variety of pastries, I hesitated a good three minutes as they all looked so delicious, I finally opted for a grapefruit pastry, the texture was so soft and tasty! My kids opted for a cream puff pastry filled with chocolate as well as croissants. The staff was very friendly and even engaged in conversations with my kids (I do have to admit that they're the talkative kind lol).
