These you can get a slice of. It is very warm as it's cut fresh and oh my gosh so good. The crust and bottom is crunchy and a bit sticky and sweet, the middle very flaky. So wonderful. I also had the almond croissant and apple turnover both are very good as well. The almond croissant is very tasty. It's more flat and pressed than the big poofy ones. As though it is screaming "I'm just a small ordinary croissant". :) Definitely stop by if you're in the Mont Royal area/ plateau area.

The woman behind the counter was absolutely lovely, taking care to make sure our order was exactly right. The café au lait was exceptional. In my experience, many pastry shops serve only mediocre coffee, so this was a wonderful surprise. The pastries were everything you'd hope for--buttery, crisp on the outside, and soft and tender inside. We couldn't have been happier! The warm, cozy ambiance made the whole experience even more enjoyable.

I was intrigued, and since I can always go for some carbs I decided to head in and check this place out. Unlike most bakeries I visited, Boulangerie Guillaume has a much more modern look, and is larger than a standard bakery. Walking in, I was immediately greeted by stairs which led up to the main production area. All of the bakes were arranged on the back-wall perimeter of the space separated from the pedestrians by a glass wall. The color scheme was mostly black to contrast the bright yellow of the bags and signage. The arrangement of the bakes, combined with the color scheme and modern aesthetics, resulted in a stunning, visually striking presentation. I wasn't too hungry, but I can always go for some sweets and their date square looked good. I went with that, along with a cappuccino. The square was delicious - the dates were high quality, and the crust underneath was moist while maintaining its integrity. The cappuccino was also good, a great complement to the bake. Service was efficient, and overall I had a great experience at Boulangerie Guillaume. I definitely want to return to explore more of their menu - I noticed they had some savory items so perhaps for some lunch. Definitely one of the best bakeries I visited in Montreal.

One of the best places for a latte in town, and probably the best cup we've had, by a mile. We…read morevisited twice, and both times were just as wonderful. On our first visit, Charlotte took wonderful care of us. The menu's ham and cheese option, which looked like a scone, seemed a bit heavy, so I asked if she could offer something lighter. Though a ham and cheese croissant isn't on the menu, she kindly offered to bring me the ingredients so I could make my own. I ordered a plain croissant with capicola, a ham-and-salami-style cold cut, and cheese on the side, then assembled my own sandwich at the table. I was so happy she accommodated me, and the simplicity and quality of the ingredients were perfect alongside one of the best lattes we've had in a very long time. On our second visit, Violet served us with the same warmth. I knew exactly what to ask for, and she delivered just as Charlotte had. We enjoyed great lattes with an extra shot of espresso on the side, and a hot chocolate that our son called one of the best he's ever had. The atmosphere is lively and cozy, with people chatting, warm lighting, and lovely decor. It's a bit tight inside and gets very crowded, but we were lucky to be seated right away both times, and we felt truly blessed as we watched a long line form outside. This is a staple for us, and it will definitely be on our list the next time we're in Old Montreal.

The Long Version: So I had never heard of Rossetti before. They didn't exist when I was living in Montreal (the 2000s) and after I left, my husband (who was still my boyfriend at the beginning) and I would return often (at least a few times a year until 2019) and I'm pretty sure they weren't around then. We took a few years hiatus from visiting Montreal and then when we returned in 2024, boom, Rossetti had 4 different locations in the downtown core! What's their origin story? I have no idea. Their website has no "About Us" section. All I know is they opened sometime between 2020 and 2024, lol. I tried their caramel eclair ($5.50). The caramel icing was really tasty, but I found the choux pastry and the custard filling a bit dry. They have cannoli, amaretti, financiers, croissants and tarts. They also have sandwiches and pizza. I was disappointed that they didn't have sfogliatella, my favourite Italian pastry. Oh, they also have coffees and teas. The interior is nice with seating to dine in. Service was neutral. I may return to try another item. Maybe at one of their other locations. Review #16 (2025)

While in Miami last year, my husband, mother-in-law and I became big fans of the Rosetta on lower Collins Ave and then once they opened the one by Lincoln Center in NYC, we began to visit that one often since it's walking distance. After climbing to the Kondiaronk Belvedere on Mont Royal, we decided we needed sustenance on our way back down and we spied Rosetti as we were walking back to our hotel. Since it looked very similar to Rosetta, we decided to stop in and grab a bite. The sandwiches and pastries were on full display and we knew we made a good choice. I had a Pizza Margherita which was huge...I could have shared it. I also had a caramel tart for a sweet treat afterwards. Others in the group had sandwiches and other sweets which they all enjoyed. There are some stools at a counter downstairs and a little more seating upstairs with a few low tables along with some high tops and counters. The ladies who worked there were very nice. We enjoyed our food and think it's a great place for a quick bite that's a bit elevated from traditional fast food.
