I get breakfast from here 2-3x a week before going into work and they've only made a mistake once in the past 6 weeks I've been going to them. I love the consistent attention to detail because I get their custom build your own breakfast sandwich and they always include everything I order. In Hampton roads, this is rare to me, because any other fast food place would be the opposite and almost always mess up my custom order or even just a regular order from their menu. I'm very appreciative of the workers here. They're always busy but still push orders out in a timely manner. The cashiers are very aware of their surroundings and are good at keeping up with their store duties and hopping onto the cash register to help one another out when the line is getting long. This is about their app and the customer service. I spent an hour and wasted four calls to customer service with no resolution to my issue. They have the most dysfunctional app I have ever used. After wasting my time, I finally went to Domino's app. Within two minutes my order was placed and I was eating Within fifteen minutes. I looked at wawa reviews and these issues are nothing new, almost all of them mentioned all the same problems I encountered and wawa seems disinterested in fixing their app. There are plenty of other places to eat and spend my money. The cashier line was backed up around the store and took forever to the point where my rewards expired before I could even scan them, as I redeemed them as soon as I got in line(not realizing how long it would take. My sandwich order (which I ordered ahead on my app) was completely wrong and the soda machine was out of ice. While I do understand they are under a lot of constant stress because wawa is a very popular establishment. Wow, this location gets crowded! We stopped by to grab some quick snacks on our way to the airport, and at first couldn't find anywhere to park! The store was crowded too with people trying to order hot food and grab their drinks/snacks. Talk about a lunch rush!! The hot food took a while and the front register had super long lines at times. Kudos to the staff working quickly to get everyone in and out. The line looks long at first but gets cleared out after 5 minutes or so. The employees here are all super talkative and friendly too which helps! I don't recommend getting gas at this location though. I decided to top off our rental car before leaving and almost got stuck afterwards because of the sheer amount of cars in the lot either waiting for pumps or trying (and being terrible at) maneuvering around those waiting. read more

Let's just do a quick run down of a few fun facts ... Wawa, Inc. is an American chain of convenience stores and gas stations located along the East Coast of the United States, operating in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware, Maryland, Virginia, Washington, D.C., and Florida. Though the first Wawa store was opened in 1964, the company actually has more than 200 years of history. Wawa begin in 1803 as a New Jersey "iron factory" and was incorporated in 1865 as the "Millville Manufacturing Company." Then, in 1902, Millville's owner George Wood opened up a milk processing plant in Wawa, Pennsylvania. Bringing cows for the plant from the English Channel island of Guernsey. Wawa stores were successful in part because convenience stores were exempt from laws that kept other stores closed on Sundays. Being opened on Sundays allowed for business to remain booming! This Wawa is particular location is in the Greenwood shopping center area here in Hampton Roads Virginia, off Mercury Blvd. This location has always been very big keeping clean so I'm certain they have been keeping clear of Covid-19. Regular gas is always under $2, the coffee here is still by far the best (my personal opinion), tobacco prices are still shockingly the cheapest here, they actually offer vegan and non GMO goods, plus the service is amazing as always. Hey, did y'all know that THERE'S A WAWA UNIVERSITY!? Yeah, some Wawa employees attend Wawa University, which, according to the company, "will guide you with comprehensive training courses and continuing educational programs. On-site, off-site. On the job, in the virtual and traditional classroom." There goal is always to meet training and educational needs. How great is that!? Overall, Wawa just does it for me; so hey maybe I'm biased... Better look out Chick-fil-A... Wawa's slogan says it best "Gottahava Wawa." read more

Employee in the restroom who was supposed to be cleaning it was instead constantly texting and on her phone while bleaching her skin. No customers could use the restroom due to this. Unprofessional, gross, unsafe, and rude. This must violate company policy and health codes an employee DIY bleaching themselves at their place of work with company products not to mention the lack of safety to their well being. read more

Talk about bad attitudes! Kimmie tells me she is calling the cops on me because I didn't have a shirt. At no time was I rude. I walked to the door and seen a list but there wasn't a "no shirt" rule listed. I explained with respect that I didn't see that sign on the door. Maybe it was in the back not posted yet. Maybe we could call corporate and confirm. Nope, she wanted to call the cops because "She is the BOSS!" Maria followed her lead. If she says no, I can't ring you up. A very nice 83 year young lady walking with a cane gave me a shirt outside. I was able to go in and pay for my gas and sandwich. Wouldn't ya know someone put something in my sandwich. Total disrespect. And to sell me tainted food is the ultimate disgrace. I can't say Wawa is a bad company. I love their stores but there is always a bad apple in every bunch. Stay clear of Kimmie! We were very disappointed tonight a Wawa. We went to Wawa to get the much advertised and anticipated new pizza! We used the touch screen which advertised full sized pizzas and ordered two pepperoni pizzas. We did not get the option to choose extra toppings so when we went to the register, we asked to order extra cheese on both pizzas. The order went from $15 and change to $18 and change, which was still a great deal. When we received our order to our surprise they came in cheese bread boxes and not the normal oval box. With us being new we did not know this was how this particular store sold them. I asked about the order and some man who I thought was the manager treated me like I knew what to expect. Still no big deal not a huge amount of money list so I thought if it's good no love lost. We get all the way home to discover our pizzas had absolutely no pepperoni!!! This was the dealbreaker and now when I call no one is answering. Needless to say I won't be back! However, the two score is because the cheese pizza was good. read more

What DON'T you come to WaWa for these days? It's got cheap gas, food, drinks, snacks, lottery tickets, just about anything you need. Maybe it's because of the frequency that I go to this location, but this WaWa is just OK. There was a period of time where I had a slow leak in my tire, so I would drop by here and sit in their long line for the free air pump, which USUALLY works great. There has been 3 or 4 times where I've come and it is broken. They should put a sign up on it during those times so people don't waste their time! I've gotten a Caramel Frappuccino here a few times, a coffee here and there, no issues with their food staff so far. They seem pretty stocked up on anything else you might need as well. read more

This is a fairly new WaWa on the corner of Mercury and Aberdeen in Hampton. Not a huge store, but its clean and the deli folks throw together a mean sammich and/or pizza and/or breakfast egg white bowl!!!!! They've also recently replaced the standard soda fountain with the fancy touch screen coke, mix your own flavors, soda machine so that's a selling point for WaWa along with the fee free ATMs and usually cheaper than anywhere else gas. read more

Disappointed with the waiting time at this location. Everything seems to take forever...food orders, check out, parking. I realize it's a busy location, but perhaps they should be more prepared. Went in recently to take advantage of the 2 for $3.00 Sizzli event...they were out of everything by 9:30...bagels, English muffins and croissants...so disappointing. :( The Sizzli I did get was good, though...good breakfast for the price...and you cannot beat their apple fritters...try one! read more

Went into Wawa on Mercuy Blvd and Pembroke Ave , as i normally do new cashier , was assisting customer check out ,I gave her a 20.00 dollar bill, for gas, she looks at me as if i waz crazy, VERY RUDE! Itold her the pump# ,she continued to look at me so she left the front of the register,and went to the back so i assumed she had finished with me , i went to pump my gas and the pump was not on so i went back in the store, Tp the same cahier and ask why my pump was not on, she stares before she said it was fake, I had to breath before i could say anything. This is a fairly new Wawa on Mercury Blvd. It's a great location right before going over the JRB or heading down to Jefferson Ave. This location stays relatively busy- both the gas pumps and the store inside. I like that they have parking in the back for just the store so you don't have to go all the way around to the gas station side just to go in the store. Most of the employees are friendly that I have encountered. The food is pretty good at this location. Sometimes they put too much or too little sauce/condiments on your order even when you specify otherwise. However the employees work quickly to get the orders out even when there is a wait. Overall it's a good location and it's usually where I always go to get gas- cheaper than shell next door or 7-11! Also free air for your tires, can't beat that! read more
