Imagine getting off of work late, or just trying to make a pitstop and finding poop stains, dirt, and a bunch of toilet paper all over the bathroom floor and on the toilets. Also, you ask the associates if anyone is available to clean it up a bit and you find yourself waiting for 30 minutes just for them to fix the issue while it's not busy. I get it, no one wants to do it, but no one wants to use something dirty either.

Sorry for the wait on this one.. I've been pretty lazy with writing my reviews this month due to the pandemic. Pero can we talk about Wawa for a minute or two? Let's just do a quick run down of a few fun facts ... Wawa, Inc. is an American chain of convenience stores and gas stations located along the East Coast of the United States, operating in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware, Maryland, Virginia, Washington, D.C., and Florida. Though the first Wawa store was opened in 1964, the company actually has more than 200 years of history. Wawa begin in 1803 as a New Jersey "iron factory" and was incorporated in 1865 as the "Millville Manufacturing Company." Then, in 1902, Millville's owner George Wood opened up a milk processing plant in Wawa, Pennsylvania. Bringing cows for the plant from the English Channel island of Guernsey. Wawa stores were successful in part because convenience stores were exempt from laws that kept other stores closed on Sundays. Being opened on Sundays allowed for business to remain booming! Business grew quickly; by 1972, there were 100 Wawa stores open for business. By 1992, there were 500 stores. Today, there are more than 750 Wawa stores. (Fun Facts) I personally love Wawa coffee; that signature coffee, introduced in the 1970s, is proprietary, and available only in Wawa stores. Such a catch! And they caught me! This Wawa is particular location is in the Greenwood shopping center area here in Hampton Roads Virginia, off Mercury Blvd. This location has always been very big keeping clean so I'm certain they have been keeping clear of Covid-19. Regular gas is always under $2, the coffee here is still by far the best (my personal opinion), tobacco prices are still shockingly the cheapest here, they actually offer vegan and non GMO goods, plus the service is amazing as always. Hey, did y'all know that THERE'S A WAWA UNIVERSITY!? Yeah, some Wawa employees attend Wawa University, which, according to the company, "will guide you with comprehensive training courses and continuing educational programs. On-site, off-site. On the job, in the virtual and traditional classroom." There goal is always to meet training and educational needs. How great is that!? Overall, Wawa just does it for me; so hey maybe I'm biased... Better look out Chick-fil-A... Wawa's slogan says it best "Gottahava Wawa."

I normally don't complain about much but this salad I received isn't what I'm used to. The lack of lettuce is a disservice.

It's wawa, great value! And they are everywhere. If you download their app you get free stuff from time to time for nothing.

Why do they ladle on absurd amounts of sauce on a meatball sandwich? It's a sandwich, not a bowl of pasta!

This location has just opened this week but the hours are good (8am-11pm daily) which fills the niche that Taste closing at 6 hasn't: evening pick up and go options. The owner is friendly and happy to answer any questions and it looks like there is plenty of room to bring in more options as they get the feel for customer preferences in the area. I really hope this spot finds success, the location couldn't be better!

What amazes me is the willingness of the owner and staff to accommodate our needs. When this business first opened it looked almost like a standard convenience store. But they are stocking more fresh grocery items and have been very accommodating regarding any special requests. For example, with the coronavirus pandemic I was finding it challenging to get my organic romaine lettuce, Roma tomatoes, and chicken breasts/thighs from other stores. Low and behold, after asking if they could offer get these items for me, they made sure they would be on order AND I got a personal phone call once my items have just been delivered to the store (it only took a couple days). Good service goes a long way with me. I feel like I now have access to a great little grocery store right outside my door. I plan to purchase from here quite often! Oh, and I love their deli selection too! The beef salami and cheddar cheese is YUM!
