First sweep we were recommended was booked out threw Christmas as of Halloween, so we hit Yelp and Morris was the first company to respond promptly and provide details instead of the "let's call and talk about it" canned response. In a few days, Daven was out at our place checking it out. We figured it was either really clean from not being used, or really dirty from lack of cleaning over the years. Turned out to be the latter. Daven called me in to see how much soot had collected after just half the cleaning was done (see pic). And that was with the vacuum running, so it's the leftover. Yikes! Good thing we called him in! It even spilled out the back of the closed doors of the double-side fireplace, but Daven was superpro and had it all cleaned up on both sides before wrapping up. This being our first wood-burning fireplace and a new one to us, he gave me a great tutorial on using it in general, tips for our particular setup, and advice on potential upgrades, and future troubleshooting. All this was done in a timely fashion after a prompt arrival, and with really friendly demeanor. We had no idea we could get our fireplace serviced by a heating and AC company, so thanks to their Yelp list of services for turning us on to them. Definitely calling them for any other fireplace issues, and will consult them if we decide to install AC before the summer!
