For $8 bucks still a good deal for a car wash! None in North valleys that come close to getting my car clean. I like the soft touch, it gets the grime and dirt off. Also the rinse keeps the windows cleaner longer. The dryers are strong and blow off most of the water in the minutes time you get. They have vending machines for towels etc to finish the job and a vacuum center if you choose to do that there. Equipment is in good condition and everything is clean. This Wave car wash is my favorite in town! I love their "no-touch" wash options here. If I don't wash my car myself; you'll see me driving through one of their two lanes here. Their self wash ports are equipped to wash bigger trucks and even an RV! Their prices are fair, and I always wash my undercarriage! This car wash is cheaper than others in town that don't include the undercarriage wash. You can't beat the quality of their no-touch wash and their prices! He put up these ridiculous cones that are not necessary and I decided not to use the dryers today because at HAN I bought this really cool drying towel. Used this carwash before and I have to agree with other reviews that line seems to always be long. They are open 24, so maybe I'll try coming at a later time to see if the lines are better. It appears the suv looks fairly good after the wash, I have been to very dusty areas. I will continue to come here, when near this area. read more

I went here when it was The Wave Car Wash, and everything worked well at that time. I returned once after the sale, probably last summer, and the experience was still okay. Recently, I went again after it became Sparks Car Wash, and my Tesla Model 3 still came out dirty. The front bumper, rear trunk area, and lower door panels were all dirty, basically around the whole car. The price seems to be the same as The Wave, but the overall experience is worse. It seems like they use enough soap and water, but it does not seem to be aimed correctly to fully clean the car. I am not sure if they changed the equipment or if it just needs maintenance, but something is definitely off compared to my past visits. When it was The Wave, I never had this issue. There is not really any staff since it is self service, but there is a number to the owner if there are problems on the pay machine. I might try The Wave that is still open in Spanish Springs or Quick Wash II in Spanish Springs to see if the results are better. read more

Truck was dirty... With all the driving and traveling that I do, the truck gets really dirty. Normally I take it through one of the big car washers, however my wife wanted to try to spray and wash. I pulled up and while I waited for her to arrive, and a guy named Dennis was sitting in his truck and offered me to use the oversize stall. He said it was first come first serve. Then we talked for a little bit on how the company was expanding (I think they have four of car washes now). It was very professional, and the site was very clean. It was also very busy. There was a line of cars through the automated carwash. The car wash was three dollars for four minutes on the sprayer. There were a number of options for the automated carwash. I opted for the $11 everything car wash. There were also huge vacuums to vacuum your vehicle out. One thing I liked about this site was the Mavericks gas right next to it. Nice to have some coffee as I worked. We will definitely use this place again and again. read more

This review is for the touchless car wash. Took the wife's suv through it and it did an amazing job! Got all the caked on dirt and grime off the paint and did a decent job! Got it clean enough to where I could use a waterless wash on the rest when I got home and I'm very picky in when I use a waterless wash. The paint has to be pretty clean for me to use it. I would def use the touchless wash again. At $10 it's a great deal! read more

The Wave Car Wash is awful! The traffic control and waiting area for the automated car service is terrible! The owner Brennon doesn't care at all how his customers feel! His response was just leave if you don't like the way your being treated. ( I was in line for a wash and a rude guy went around me ) I won't go back and I highly suggest we all use the car wash on Pyramid where the old Raleys was! This is one of the better car wash businesses in the area. You can either manually wash your car, truck, even RV, or go through the automatic car washer if you have a standard size vehicle. The automatic car washer has two types of car washes, soft touch & touchless for those you guys with old school antennas. Each type of wash has 3 tiers ranging from $5 for a basic wash to $10 for the premium wash. It takes around 5 minutes to complete the wash and this place is usually busy on the weekends. Expect a line. Payment: Cash or card There are also vending machines to buy towels, soap, air fresheners and machines to vacuum your vehicle. I gave it a four star because the automatic car washer doesn't fully clean your car compared to going to a manual car wash. I got the soft touch today and my rims were still a bit dirty, and there where some stains on my window and bumper. But you get what you pay for, and if your someone that gets a car wash frequently, this place does a decent job. I've gone here multiple times and I don't see any any other reason why I would stop, unless they raise the prices. read more

Needed to get road grime off my vehicle after traveling over 500 miles from WA to NV. Stopped at the wave for the automatic wash. What a joke. My car still has stuff on the lower portion and tires plus the soap didn't wash off. My car had so much soap left on it. The dryers were essentially worthless. I wanted to get a car wash just around the Sparks area running some errands and drove up to Wave Carwash. Little did I know, I would be waiting 30 minutes for a car wash that barely cleaned my car and wasn't even dry when I left! Yes, you drive out as it dries the car, but, considering how long the line was I didn't want to take 5 extra minutes to have my car be dry. I didn't get a crazy car wash but I don't expect there to be spots of dirt at all especially for a 10 minute wash and 30 minute line! read more

The old man that thinks he runs this place is a real punk. Try telling me what I can and can't wash here when I spend my money and time to clean my bay thoroughly every time I'm here. I've been going to this car wash for over five years because I live in the neighborhood... It's always been a very efficient touchless wash, but also one of the slowest lines you will ever sit in for a car wash. They recently "upgraded" the automatic car wash equipment. I have yet to be able to use the new equipment because every time I have sat in line for 30+ minutes, something malfunctions and I'm not able to get my car washed. This is the third time I'm just over a month that I've waited over 30 minutes for a wash and the equipment has malfunctioned. Today, I was next in line... The guy in front of me was med wash and the wash stopped working. He sat in the wash and honked for 10 minutes waiting for someone to come help him. On a Sunday afternoon, they had no one on site to resolve the issues of the malfunctioning machine. I called and talk to the owner Bill who told me that we just had to wait 15 minutes until his guy was able to get there. No apology, no acknowledgment of the inconvenience, just arguing with me about what I should tell the guy in front of me who seems to have messed up the wash... He went into great detail about how the guy in front of me probably pulled too far forward or didn't pull far enough forward and that's what caused the machine to completely malfunction and that we just had to wait 15 minutes for the guy to come fix it. As a consumer, I don't care what caused the issue. When a customer calls to report an issue, the last thing they expect to do is be lectured and asked to school the guy in front of me as to what he did wrong while we have to wait 15 minutes for his guy to come. It's Sunday afternoon, there were about 12 cars in line when it went down, and Bill (owner) blew it off like it's a regular thing. Before the new equip, it was decent and slow. Now it's slow and doesn't work with an owner that doesn't see a priority in having staff on site on Sunday afternoon WHEN HE KNOWS HIS AUTO WASHES WILL MALFUNCTION WHEN SOMEONE DOESNT STOP PROPERLY and it seems to happen regularly. Bummer on all accounts. Glad I can break out the hose and do it myself at home soon. read more

Would never recommend this place to anybody came here to wash my vehicle and my wife tagged along to wash her jeep I get here before her and she next behind me in line. The first bay that opens up is the truck bay which is which she was gonna wait for either way to clean the roof of her jeep due to the fact that' she's 5'2 and it has stairs to clean the roof it's perfect. Because I was in line first I went ahead and started washing my car. While washing my car a worker by the name of Roy walks up to my wife and tells her there's another bay if she'd like to use it. To which she says no she's gonna wait for me to finish so she can clean her whole jeep (using the stairs) to which Roy looks at her laughs and says "no your not" from there he marches over to me tells "your gonna tell your lady friend she's gonna take the other bay" to which I said "no shes waitiing to use this bay to clean her whole car" he responds "well I have a truck that wants to use the wash" to which I tell him is perfect "we're gonna wash our cars in here and he can use it after we waited for this bay also" Roy tells me no your not keeps trying to give me the run around on how he's gonna do all these things so we can't finish our cars and that he's gonna shut down the wash So i ask him how she supposed to clean her whole jeep mentioning she's 5'2 and that was the whole point of coming here and using this bay as he realizes what he's saying he doesn't really have anything to say so he tells me "you can clean the jeep for her in the next bay if she's not tall enough if not I'm gonna turn off the wash" to which again I tell him "do it" which he doesn't and tells us "hurry up" as he stands there staring at us as we clean. Mind you we each only went through one was cycle so this all happened within a span of 10 mins. I understand employing older people but business please stop employing angry unhappy men like Roy he himself is the reason we won't be bringing our business back here. +I didn't even get to finish my car cause Roy was trying to argue over the bay the whole time I was washing my car. read more

One of the best self serve car washes in the area. The automated bays in particular do a very good job of getting your car clean, and provided you drive through the dryers slowly, mostly dry. Even though I live and work no where near this car wash I usually make the slight trek just because this place seems to use good quality cleaning products, its well-maintained, and the price is slightly more reasonable than many competing car washes in the area. Minor nitpick: I was in a few weeks ago and the presoak wasn't working. I even switched bays and it wouldn't work in the other bay either. I wasted over a dollar and informed the guy on site, who quickly said he would look into it, but didn't offer to give me my money back. Not the best response IMO, but maybe he's just the maintenance guy without any ability to handle refunds/credits. Either way, I'm deducting a point for customer service. read more

I don't know if it was because my truck was big but the box to pay for the car wash was too far away i had to step out and the car already in the car wash got me wet. Ewwww. I was rushing to pick one just for i can retreat in my car again. I got the $10 one. THAN i finally went in. My car in the end looked ok but not clean. I tried this place out and its a no for me. I did have dead bugs on my windshield coming from cali to reno. So maybe it was because the bugs were already dry... idk but it didnt do the job for me. Good for just removing dust/dirt. I come to this wash specifically for a touch less wash to get road grime off. As I was waiting in line for the owner and an employee to figure out the two automatic washes which one was shut down, the owners employee comes over and leans on my trucks paint with dirty gloves. As a former auto detailer, I am very OCD about my paint. I informed the owner who was standing there to ask his employee not the do that to customers cars and his response was "alright" and blew me off. I'm sure you would appreciate if I did that to your brand new black TRX right? Safe to say you've lost a customer. read more

The Wave Car Wash is the only car wash I go to! Not only is it two minutes from my house, but it's just a great place. Automatic car washes range from basic at $5 all the way up to $10 for the fanciest one, which includes everything from an under carriage wash, that pretty rainbow stuff, wax, all that. I like that the washes that are a few bucks more include a whirl with the cloth scrubby as I feel that gets the car cleaner. Yay friction! There are 4 bays that you can hand wash your vehicle and what not in, and one even has a platform so you can really get the top of your truck, van, etc! I think that's genius! Their vacuums here are nice and powerful and they even have what I call a "Smelly Good Station" where you can spritz the inside of your car with a variety of scents. Overall, this The Wave Car Wash has everything you need for the inside and outside of your car to make it all clean and purdy! Check this place out! Of course the child inside me loves the Tri foam soap so I always go for that option. I usually choose light touch because I feel it really gets those hard to reach areas. You drive through and it tells you when to stop. Put your car in neutral and all you have to do is sit and wait as your car gets squeaky clean! Pretty simple and beyond satisfied with the results! My one tip is to drive as slow as possible through the dryer at the end because you get a full two minutes and it helps with water spots! My only wish is that they had some sort of rewards program like buy 9 washes get the 10th free. read more

This was my very first Reno car wash!! They have fairly priced washing options and offering touchless and light-touch services. I was surprised by the three different colors of foam soap because we did not have that in Chicago. I usually choose the light-touch washes, but my car was so filthy from being on a flatbed semi during the cross-country move, I knew it would need multiple washes, so I went with the touchless for the first wash so it would not scratch the clear coat. You drive through and it tells you when to stop. Put your car in neutral and all you have to do is sit and wait as your car is cleaned! Pretty simple and beyond satisfied with the results! My one tip is to drive as slow as possible through the dryer at the end because it helps with water spots. I made the mistake of rushing through and have water spots, which is my own fault. I know I have to come back for another wash to get the rest of the filth from the trip off, so I will be sure to go through the dryer slowly this time. Machine looks quite new and it does a good job in general. It's machine wash so do not expect great cleaning on complex surfaces and wheels found on newer cars. The downside is the pay vacuuming is a bit of a rip-off. They would have gotten 5 stars if the vacuuming is free. read more

I've been using The Wave car washes for years and never have had any negative experiences with these. However, I would recommend if your vehicle is overly dirty or has road grime salt or road snow excess using the soft touch washes. The touchless washes don't get all of the grime and spots off. Car wash damaged vehicle by scratching. It was a real simple issue. Vehicle did not have scratch on it before going through soft touch automated wash and did have long scratch on passenger side immediately after. Owner (Bill) refused responsibility. Just rolled out of 12 days in the playa working on two art installations with my buggy living and breathing the alkaline dust. Not only was this wash in great working order you could actually see and smell the effects of each separate chemical process from the self serve bays. The staff were amazingly helpful in guiding the line up of other playa dwellers along with their normal locals. read more
