My mobile detailer sold his business to someone who is not responding so I went in search of a replacement. I thought Sam's Sparkle was mobile and I booked because Sam was excellent at replying to my texts. I discovered he is not mobile because he never asked for my address. LOL... But I decided to give him a try. I booked a hand wash. Took about an hour. This is not a detail or even a mini detail but it's a GREAT HAND WASH that truly made my car SPARKLE. Sam hit the little extra spots I requested as part of the $65 price. If you normally go to regular fast car washes...BY COMPARISSON, what Sam does can feel a little like a mini detail. I recommend removing everything from your car at home so they can find the dirt. My floors were in great need of vacuuming and my floor mats were filthy. My floors and mats now look like new. I feel like I drove a new car off Sam's property. He deserves all his 5 star reviews! My windows sparkle. There are just details that get included here that are missing other places. If a simple hand wash is THIS GOOD I cannot imagine how spectacular their attention to detail would be for a full detail. If you are a newbie to higher end car care, give Sams HAND WASH a try before you decide if you really need a full detail. I think you'll be happy here. I feel like I might start doing this hand wash maybe every 2-3 months and just run it through the WAVE touchless in between. I'm not a fanatic when it comes to my car. I just prefer it clean. I park in a garage so I rarely need a wax. I do miss my mobile guy...but Sams is very reasonable AND there's a great little Mexican restaurant only a short walk away, called CARLILLOS Cocina. Delicious. Don't expect a sparkling waiting area at Sam's...LOL...all the attention to SPARKLING DETAIL happens in the back where your car is being transformed. Last week I was really angry because it appeared the shop had left remnants of a rodent nest they cleaned out of my pickup's engine compartment in June. I had my son check it out this morning, and we decided (1) the job they did was acceptable given the circumstances and (2) it's impossible to tell whether the litter that's in there now was left there in June or was blown or brought in by rodents since then. In the meantime, Sam was super nice about it and offered to redo the job. I am now one of his many clients who rate his business 5 stars. He has the old-fashioned business ethic of wanting to make his customers happy. Tip: If you have any problem with the work you have done there, call Sam and talk to him about it before you do anything else. read more

I had a great experience with Sam. I was able to physically meet with Sam and go over my questions and set realistic expectations. I was quoted an exact price (not a vague range). I made an appointment. The day came and Sam did everything he said he would and there was nothing out of place or not done. The engine looked brand spanking new. This is a good old fashion detail business where the handshake includes everything you need to know, The value in the service provided for the price paid made me very satisfied. read more

Sam's Sparkle - Did another fabulous DETAILED Cleaning job. From engine to wheels, inside and outside. We've brought multiple vehicles to Sam's for over 7 years. Never been disappointed with the service. Always exceeds expectations! On the last request, Sam was able to add life to a deteriorating paint finish. The value of what I paid, was far exceeded compared to a new paint job or new vehicle. BRAVO! JOB WELL DONE! read more

I want to share this review because it's such a great shop but I don't want everyone to find out and take all the appointment times. Moving forward I will be treating me vehicles to a minimum annual full detail. I originally scheduled due to needing an engine cleaning to diagnose a leak. While there I spring for a full detail. Fast forward a few months I wound up trading in the car. I only had a few magical months in my pristine car. It felt better than brand new when they were done with the interior and exterior. The engine clean proved invaluable as it allowed my mechanic to diagnose an oil leak and 3 transmissions leaks (hence trading it in). They were kind, communicative and do top notch work. Their prices are reasonable for the level of service and quality. It's in an area without much around it so a drop off is advised instead of hanging out. Their waiting area is also quite small. Overall, if you need engine cleaning or a detail, this is your spot! read more

I noticed the color and shine from my 2022 rav 4 dulled when I was in NM for 6 months. No one believed me but once Sam got it in the shop he stated there was a mineral deposit coat causing my car to look grayish vs blue. After he worked on it my car became the original blue. The inside was showroom perfect. I now have a new detailer read more

Once again, we revisit Super Sam's Sparkle Shop. This year the 2012 Audi was due for the number 6 detail, which is interior, exterior, engine, and power buffing on the paint. The number 6 is the ultimate detail, which keeps the paint in pristine condition, with the harsh sun, snow, wind, and trash blowing around Northern Nevada this is a once a year maintenance you don't want to miss. Called up Sam and made the appointment over the phone. Dropped the car off to Sam around 730am on Monday. Talked to Sam around 330pm on the phone and he advised the Audi was just being finished. I appreciate Sam's attention to detail when he performs his magic at the Sparkle Shop. Detail Shops that have to rush or are on the clock to finish and start multiple jobs miss important steps, this is why Sam's is a Five star joint. In my opinion this is the Best Detailing Shop in the AREA! I arrived at the Sparkle Shop just after 520pm and when I saw the Audi I could immediately tell the white paint appeared deeper, brighter, and freshly polished. The Audi looked like a glowing bright white ice sickle is had so much gloss on the glacier white metallic paint. My boo and I drive older cars folks, her car 8 years old, and mine 11. There is no doubt Sam's Sparkle Shop is the place to take your vehicles to keep them looking great! Thanks Sam. read more

I recently had the exterior of my 4Runner detailed and the engine compartment cleaned by the team at Sam's Sparkle Shop. I can detail my other personal cars, but there is simple too much real estate on this rig for the available amount of elbow grease. I found Sam's via an internet search and wish I found this shop sooner. I appreciate doing business locally, and it is both refreshing and reassuring to know that Sam's has been doing business at this location for more than 30 years. Clearly, he knows is craft and the customers keep returning, of which I will be one. The work by Sam's team is excellent, and I appreciate that the effort to clean the engine compartment goes far beyond simply spraying "alot of shiney goo" on the various plastic components. Likewise, the exposed undercarriage and tires were cleaned and dressed, and without an excessive amount of "shiney goo" applied everywhere. Additionally, the exterior detail removed water spots that I was convinced were permanently etched in the glass. And best of all, the cost for this level of perfection is substantially lower than other shops that I have used in the past. In my situation, nearly $100 less (Sam, where's the tip jar?). Based on my experience, I can confidently recommend Sam's Sparkle Shop to all. read more

I had an oil leak that needed to be detected after a dye was put in. After 1000 miles I needed to have the engine steam cleaned. I would highly recommended this business. The owner was so nice and professional and my appointment was on time. Completely happy with the work and especially the customer service. He does a lot more than just steam clean engines. I think I will be back for a car detailing next. read more

Wow! Sam's Sparkle Shop is top shelf! First, and foremost, Sam is gracious and generous. There was a miscommunication about my appointment time, which very likely could have been my fault but Sam and his daughter were so accommodating and apologetic even though they likely had the appointment right. The work done on my truck is over the top amazing, I couldn't be more happy with the results! Sam and his staff are consummate professionals, and their customer service and appreciation is off the charts awesome. This Is THE place to take your vehicles to for detailing; hands down. See you next time Sam! read more

Since purchasing my car, I have never had it detailed. Sam's Sparkle Shop was suggested by many and it was in Sparks which was ideal. They cleaned everything and by everything I meant every nook and cranny (and all the stubborn dog hair) I couldn't get if I were to do it myself. They forgot to put the cover back in my trunk because they were cleaning it, but Sam called me right away to let me know. Not a big deal at all. Would definitely go back. read more

Sam's Sparkle is the best place in town to get a regular car wash, or various levels of detail, all the way up to making a car look great. This is the best detailing place in the area with reasonable pricing. I am always very picky on how my cars look as an enthusiast. They did a great job on my Lexus GS that I recently purchased. They also detailed my BMW M5 previously. I highly recommend this place. read more

How about six stars? If you'd seen the interior of my Prius before I dropped it off at Sam's you would have screamed "Nobody will take that!" The last time it was detailed was nearly 4 years ago, and since then I'd sold nearly everything I owned, packed what was left into the car, and traveled to Death Valley, then down to Mexico where I practically lived out of it for 5 months, all the way down to Mexico City then back up through Texas and... well you get the picture. I brought it by and Sam gave me a super reasonable quote, then we set up an appointment. The day of service my car was so dirty it took an extra hour to clean it... yet Sam didn't charge me an extra cent. Great service and lots of integrity! I dropped a $25 tip even, which I've never done before. Highest recommendation! read more

Great service, Sam's the BEST! The only shop to go to in the Reno - Sparks area.

Thank you Sam!! I have a camper van (Sportsmobile) I recently purchased with150,000 miles of good times on & in it. Just picked up my 2015 Tacoma. Wow it's a different shade of red. My main concern was the butterfly guts I picked up on I-80 over donner summit. WOW. I went here today to get the interior of my detailed and I'm so impressed!!! Sam, was so friendly and kind the second I walked in. My mom had given me a gift certificate to get my car cleaned there last Christmas and it was well spent. They did an AMAZING job cleaning the inside of my car. My cloth seats are a weird cloth material to where if I spill a little water on the seat, it stains. They were able to get out every stain on my seat that I've been trying to get rid of for years! I would recommend them to anyone that asked about a place for car detailing. I will definitely be coming back. Thank you guys so much again!!! Great shop! A job wonderfully done with no fuss. Easy to make an appointment and smooth in and out.

Sam has taken care of my two trucks for over twenty years - he is a very conscientious businessman and committed to his business - they really focus on the details here - the door jams and under the hood look like new after a detail job and it's always at a fair price - my dog does a good job of getting the inside pretty muddy but A visit to Sam and it's like new - this is the best place in town for auto detailing read more
