First off i dont normally do reviews but I had to do one this time!!! I recently had my car washed at surf thru car wash on pyramid and I wanted to give a huge shout-out to one of their attendants, John, for providing exceptional customer service. From the moment I pulled up, he was friendly and welcoming. He greeted me with a smile and clearly explained the different washes available, helping me choose the best option for my need. John was not pushy at all (unlike some other car washes I have been to,) and patiently answered all my questions. What really stood out was John's attention to detail. He took the time to point out a few problem areas on my car and asked if I wanted to add any specific treatments. I appreciated their honesty and willingness to go the extra mile. Even after the wash, John took a moment to check the car and made sure it was spotless. He even offered to touch up a spot that had been missed! Beyond the excellent service. John was just a genuinely pleasant person to interact with. They were polite, professional, and made the whole car wash experience very enjoyable. I can't tell you how rare it is to find such dedicated and friendly service these days, and john truly deserves recognition for their hard work and because of their outstanding customer service, I will definitely be returning to this location in the future. I highly recommend them, and especially hope to see John there again! read more

Well... This is probably the worst car wash I've gotten so far. Did not even clean the windshield all the way. It also did not dry the vehicle when I came out it was still wet. And the third thing is at both locations are Reno and Sparks, half of their vacuums either don't work or on very low suction Very disappointed!!! read more

Horrible carwash. We've tries all three. The one ones on pyramid and sparks are decent but don't oay extra for wheel cleaning because they will.NOT come out clean. The tire shine will also spray your wheels which in few days you'll be hand cleaning your wheels. As for the new one on pyramid in Spanish Springs, HORRIBLE carwash and when you go around to ask fir a rehash or a refund good luck. The one girl told me that I should have paid for the upgraded wash because it was better. Asked her how it could be better because its the same cleaners...asked her if I get more cleaning. She had no answer. I ran the car thru the gas station carwash around the corner and boom it was clean. Ended up sending message to the corporate email and have yet to hear a peep. My credcard company disputed it and refunded the charge. Sray away from Surf Thru Carwash...IMHO read more

I've never come here so thought I'd give it a try as it's fairly new. My poor car needed the road grime and mud from the last snow washed off! A nice gal greets you and asks if you want any dollar add ons to your wash. Told her my first time here what do I do. She explained the prices and allowed me a minute to look at the price board. I chose a window cleaner add on, she processed my payment and gave me a receipt and pointed to the line which was only a few cars. Once I got near to the front I saw a young man pre-spray the car in front of me and point to the sign to put in neutral, hands off the wheel and no braking. There is a conveyer type belt that takes you in so no waiting for the car in front to finish , everyone just goes through! Total time was ten minutes! My car was dry from the air that blows as you finish! Worth the few extra bucks to not wait a half hour or more at the "other" car wash I usually go to! read more

Surf n turf is the place to go! I've been coming here for 2+ years now. Great employees plenty of space and vacuums, which by the way are free!! This is the time of PayPal Venmo et. ... and she had no solution ... they should have given me a car wash for waiting in line to save a customer ... no worries went up the street to chevron car wash and saved &6.00... also they had two people hosing the car down as you entered read more

One of the most incompetent and worst car wash experiences.I've had in my entire life. I was double charged for a car. Surf Thru Express Car Wash - Car Wash Near Me - Sparks, Nevada

Affordable one time car wash. Plenty of vacuum spots available no pressure to join membership

Surf Thru is conveniently located for me on Pyramid Hwy just below McCarren. Their equipment does an ok job cleaning my car. I took the car for a wash on Saturday after going over Donner last week when it snowed so the car was super dirty. Most of the dirt came off but I have noticed that the back end of the car didn't get very clean. Luckily for me it rained on Sunday so I got to take the car back thru with their 4 day rain guarantee. (but only with the Extreme wash and you need your receipt). I asked the attendant to make sure they got the back of my car because it seems when I go there the back of the car is never clean. Well, the back end got a little cleaner but I had to take a wet rag to get the remaining dirt off the car. So the place is ok for a quick run thru to get most of the car clean but hopefully in the future the attendants will pay more attention to the back of the car. read more

My husband went to the Surf Turf Car Wash on Pyramid Way. When he got home his side rear view mirror was missing. He went back to the carwash, and they gave him his mirror. He was told to get an estimate by the manager at the time. Then he was told that they have contracted with their own repair shop. Now it has been crickets. They have a new manager that won't do anything and was told to contract corporate. They have not responded. Also sent email nothing. I think they want us to go away. read more

Well I would not take your car there EVER! I drive a Tesla and the car wash just stopped mid wash and kicked my car out car wash mode causing the truck behind me to hit my car. The car wash won't assume responsibility for the damage and the manager Maria is just as terrible as the car wash. This place employees children to manage it and they have no customer service skills. DO NOT BRING YOUR CAR THERE!!!! Beware, this car wash could care less about its customers! read more

on 5/31/24 I went through the car wash at 5:10 PM. The guard rail ripped out my valve stem on my left front tire and my tire instantly went flat. I got stuck in the car wash and honked my horn numerous times and no one was able to hear or stop the wash. I had to floor it and drive out on my rim to avoid being rear ended. There are massive problems with this. One: there's no way to stop the wash if something happens inside. No one was paying attention. I was almost rear-ended and we almost had a pile up inside the car wash. This is a huge liability issue. Two: after the incident report was filled out, I was assured that I would be called in the morning. No manager called me. When I showed up in the afternoon on June 1st (the next day) I was told that the manager was TOO BUSY to call me that morning. outrageous. I need to get a new tpms sensor stem for my tire. thank God nothing worse happened to my car, because this car wash is not going to take responsibility for help me with (prove me wrong). Finally, when I came in today to address the issue and cancel my membership, I was told that the attendants could NOT cancel my membership, but that I had to email the company and REQUEST a cancellation. This is all around very bad company policy. It feels like extortion. it's a profit motive pure and simple. There is no "customer first" policy at this car wash or in this company. When I was replacing my flat tire in the car wash after driving out on the rim, another customer came up and told me that the car wash had popped his SUV's tire, and the company had not done anything about it. He doesn't have a membership anymore but still uses the vacuum sometimes. Do NOT use these industrial corporate car washes. At some point they will damage your car. It's just a matter of time, and they will not take accountability for it. I hope corporate or the ownership contacts me and proves me wrong. read more

When the equipment was new, my vehicles would come out sparkling clean. After a couple of years of operation, they leave a lot of areas uncleaned. Tire shine is spotty on bigger tires. Wheels are not entirely cleaned either. The biggest heartburn is with the vacuum area. I use a handicap placard, and the employees park their cars in the covered vacuum parking spots. It started with only 1 or 2 cars, but it has now blossomed into 6-8 cars. I've talked to the attendant at the front and I was told "you need to find something else to bitch about, stop being a pussy..." So, I got that going for me... read more

I have been a member for years. I had my windshield replaced recently and have been using my tag manually. I paid the $22 for the top tier wash. They no longer scrub the bugs off and you get a half hearted spray down that left much dirt, debris and bugs after I went thru. I got in line again and asked to be released at the top wash I'd paid for and the girl said no problem. However at the end she gave me the lowest wash possible. Still left with bugs and now no tire shine. Won't be coming here again. read more

Surf Thru Express is a nice reliable car wash with several wash options. The attendant asked if it was my first time there and if I would like a breakdown of what each wash option entails at the end of the wash, there are numerous vacuums for use and an air blaster. The air blaster comes in handy to blow leaves another crud that may be in the crevices/panels of your vehicle. The washes are pretty priced, and for a drive-through car wash, it does a good job. I have passed by before and seen the line extending outside the lot onto the street; I now understand why. Surf Thru Express is a good option for a quick vehicle wash. read more

I do not recommend this car wash all the workers there are careless about their job. There's 3 choices you can pick for your car to be washed I paid the most pricey one expecting my car to be spotless clean and my car wasn't even bad to start off. There was two guys when you first start going in for ur car to be washed he hardly even sprayed my car with soup because him and the other guy were talking and laughing the whole damn time. This is annoying because the least you can do is spray my car good before the wash! My car literally came out looking the SAME! read more

Reno Nevada car washes are a complete train wreck joke. All of them other than South Meadows the tire shine pukes all over my tires and then throws it down the side of my truck and the truck looks worse when I leave then I did when I got there. I've told all of these locations this and they know it and say they're waiting on maintenance to fix all their problems, but it's been the same way for over a month now. The Brush on the right side at the south meadows location has not worked for three weeks or more now the location in Sparks they never run the top rollers, even though they've never hurt my truck before then my truck comes out with water spots across the top of it. Needless to say the least surf through as a complete joke. horrible customer services. I've called three times. Got a call back once missed the call then they never called me back. read more

The Reno Location's blue scrubbing equipment did this to my vehicle... DO NOT TRUST SURF THRU! Been a member on their Premium$ for over a year, granted no issues until this months car wash. Their Equipment (I was not allowed to review the tape) caused an almost 2foot long and about 6inch wide damage streak of scrapes along the top of my car. Area Manager said their cameras caught nothing and that he vets the equipment and says there is and was nothing wrong. Now at this point whether you believe my review, does not matter. But take a look at my photos, then ask yourself if you want to trust Surfs Thru? If their equipment scratches your vehicle I hope you have a dash cam because this company will not take responsibility. Feel free to comment on this for contact if your in the same Group as me, I'm sure I'm not the only one with damage and hope this Yelp helps read more

Seriously, do not waste your money at this place. My car was not even that dirty and when I came out it still had bugs on it as well as dirt. I had paid for the upgraded wash and it was $20! Big mistake. When I got out of the car wash and went to vacuum my own car out (even with the $20 you still have to vacuum yourself ), the vacuums barely even worked. The first four vacuums as you come out of the wash on the left-hand side barely even suck. My grandma has more suction power and she ain't even got any lips. J/k but for real So I had to move my car to another bank of vacuums across the way. They were better but not much difference. If I would've stayed there and tried to vacuum my car out it would've taken me all day. I finally went and told the manager, and he picked up the vacuum that I was at after moving and said that those were enough power. I looked at him and said I'd like my money back please. When I did tell him, I felt my car was still very dirty he tried to say that there was marks on my car and I guess that having dirt on it after going through a car wash was acceptable. I don't know. Either way I got my money back and by this point wasted 20 min of time because of the huge line. I ended up taking my car down the street to a car wash that is on Los Altos off of Pyramid Highway (near Les Schwab). I had to do it myself, but it was better than dealing with that Surf Thru place. read more

Tried this place for the first and last time today. I know I just got the quick express wash, but the passenger side of my windshield and my passenger side window look the same as they did when I showed up there. Not impressed. I won't go back. I read the owners review, so at a drive thru car wash I'm suppose to get out and inspect my car? And there weren't bugs on my windshield, simply some dirt. It's almost as if your machine washed the left side of my car and not the right. I still won't go back. read more

I love the South Reno location and Sparks was just about as good. The car wash part was the same - the difference was in the area where you vacuum your car/clean the mats etc. I appreciated that they took down the hoses in every other spot to promote social distancing. But I failed to notice at first...and my vacuum hose wasn't very powerful. Normally I would just use the one on the other side, but that's no longer possible...and I didn't feel like moving my car. Also, it didn't seem like there were any sanitizing wipes/spray available to clean the hoses between users, or a place to wash hands, so I just used a lot of hand sanitizer, but probably wouldn't go back for now. Just wish I'd thought more about it in advance- or they had. read more

This is a great car wash for a drive thru. It is a rotating brush wash, but my new car shows no sign of brush marks, ect. I like the ultimate wash; it's worth it, and they will let you run it through again for free if you feel it didn't get all the bugs off. Give the boys with the hand brushes a couple bucks, and they will show their appreciation with a little extra effort. The blow driers work well at the end. The vacuums come with the wash, and they have plenty of power to quickly vacume the interior. Fast and easy for me. read more

Gosh dangitt- I used to love this place! But the last handful of times I've come here my car is nowhere close to clean when I leave. I don't know if it's a simple as the pre-wash folks just using a hose and not. Soapy brush anymore or if it's something else but I get my car home and see that several panels remain dirty. I wish they'd print back the pre wash brushes as I imagine that would help. Them doing a little spritz with a hose seems to accomplish little. read more

Love the setup and service. Great value for the monthly pass. If you go at non-peak times super easy in and out. Plenty of vacuums i've never had to wait! I have been a member for over a year and this location and south reno are both very consistent. Really well designed setup. It's great to get a pass on your windshield and separate lane to get you through quickly vs people paying cash etc. Employees are friendly a few times people even came over to my car and asked me how my wash was and if they could do anything for me. read more

The car wash was is just okay. The blower's do a lousy job. When I exit the car, I got water spots and soapy water all over my windshield and everywhere else on my car. Then I need to wipe my whole car down. A mediocre car wash at best for $25 a month ! Responding to the business customers service. I just let you know my complaints. It's your job as customer service if you truly cared you would talk to your staff and make the necessary changes ! A two minute phone call ! It sounds like you're not interested in doing your job ! I bought the most expensive one. The young lady in the office was professional, however young men did not clean my tires, one was on his phone, were very rude and did not clean hood. Will not be coming back. Very disappointed. read more

Surf Thru Express Car Wash - After going threw 2 times. - Car Wash Near Me - Sparks, Nevada

Most of the time the car wash is decent enough. I do the 5 passes a month for $30. But as of late I've been going through x2 to get it clean and the guys on the front end see me going through and still don't clean the dirt off with the pre washing and brushing. However, today I decided to run the truck through since we've had a snow and they just wet the vehicle and didn't even scrub it with the brush. The most disappointing part was that there were 6 employees huddled around just shooting the s**t. If it were so cheap for 5 washes and the vacuums weren't good I'd have canceled before now. read more

Wish I could give this place 0 stars. I have been a customer of surf thru for years. I went through their new car wash location with my brand new vehicle and it caused the charging port to open and the brushes bent the door into the body of the vehicle and caused it to dent. I filed a claim and it was immediately denied. They said they have had thousands of "electric" vehicles go through this wash with no damage. Ummmm how could it be thousands when it just opened the day prior? I called their area manager, Ron, who was very unprofessional, argumentative and unhelpful. They just lost a multi-year client over this incident and don't even care. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place, unless you really want your car to be damaged. read more

I was happy to see this new car wash near my home was open for business because after a couple of snow days, my car was muddy and dirty. I had not visited their other location so Surf Thru was going to be a new experience for me. I like that they give you a free dash wipe when you pay and they also sell items for cleaning your car at the drive up cashier. Very convenient. Pricing is higher than I pay at my favorite car wash but they have some great unlimited washings deals. I wasn't super pleased with the over all experience though. There was no signage indicating that I should wait for an attendant to be present before entering the car wash. So, I proceeded thinking it was all automated and not like my favoritecar wash where they get the front and back with brushes by hand. Not so...two attendants came running over, grabbed their brushes and brushed only the back of my car so, when I came out of the wash the front nose of my car was still muddy and dirty. After the wash I pulled into the vacuum area. Vacuums are free after a wash. I stepped out of my car and almost slipped on ice! I looked around and realized that the staff was not very proactive about the icey spots. Not a lot of care for customer safety. I also did like the position of the vacuums. They are hard to pull down. Of I had a tiny bit of trouble grabbing one, I can't imagine someone very short or eldery being able to use these easily. Again...not thinking about the customers. So, positives...good location, clean facility, reasonable pricing and convenience. The negatives, poor customer service (attendants should have been ready and waiting), lack of concern for custimer safety or acess for all to the vacuums. I think I will continue to drive a bit further and keep going to my favorite car wash.plus they have free towels read more
