We started with a blank, grass filled postage stamp of a back yard. We wanted landscaping, and we…read morehad a vision. Happy Hippie came when many other companies couldn't even be bothered to give us a quote, and they delivered what was so close to our vision that it was kind of scary. They dealt seamlessly with the inevitable hiccups a project of this size can have, and they stayed easy to work with even when circumstance could have made it easy not to. Natasha, Rob, Colin and their whole crew did an awesome job. If you're looking to do a landscape project that is too much for you to handle on your own, give these guys a call. I doubt you'll be disappointed!

Here is my recent experience with Happy Hippie. Make of it what you will…read more 1. I called Happy Hippie on April 17th to get a consultation about some landscaping. 2. They responded with an email on April 19th that set up a consultation on April 25th. 3. The consultation was made with what I wanted them to do on April 25th. 4. I received an email on May 4th with the estimate for my project. 5. I signed and returned the estimate on May 7th. 6. I also sent an email on May 7th that listed shrubs/plants on the estimate that I didn't want. 7. I received an email on May 8th in response to my unwanted shrubs/plants. 8. I received an email on with a projected start date of June 21st, the first available date they had. 9. I mailed a check for 50% down of the landscaping cost on May 16th. 10. I received an email on May 18th saying they had received my down payment. 11. I received an email on May 31st that contained the invoice for the down payment. 12. I received an email on June 6th that contained an invoice stating my down payment had been applied. 13. I received an email on June 15th saying my start date was delayed and "will likely be only a few to several days". 14. I received an email on June 27th in response to my email that day for an update. "We are working out the schedule for the next 8 weeks.. and we will update everyone soon, hopefully in the next couple days, with a new and tentative project start date." 15. I received an email on June 29th that stated "working now to adjust and reschedule everyone's landscape projects for the next several weeks. We will have a new tentative installation day(s) soon." 16. I received an email later that day on June 29th stating that the new tentative start date was July 7th. 17. I received an email on July 3rd changing the projected start date to July 21st. 18. I received an email on July 18th changing the projected start date to July 24th. 19. A dumpster was dropped off in front of my house on July 21st. 20. I received an email on July 23rd changing the projected start date to July 26th. 21. I sent an email on July 24th stating that I could no longer accept any more delays and that if they could not meet the July 26th start date then I wanted to cancel the project. 22. I received an email later that day on the 24th informing me that they could not guarantee starting on July 26th so the contract was cancelled. They said I would receive a refund check "within up to 10 business days, or longer, depending upon USPS delivery". 23. The dumpster was picked up on July 26th by the dumpster service provider. 24. I received my refund check on July 29th minus $400 for the dumpster (which was never used). From the time I initially contacted them until I cancelled the project due to constant delays was a little over 3 months. You may wish to consider this if you engage them. The contract states that refunds are issued on cancellation subject to "cancellation fees as well as loss and/or expense incurred by hh as a result of client's actions".
