It was very interesting. We sampled the chocolates we pre-ordered for the tv show. For the first time we learned to eat it slowly and appreciate the subtleties of good chocolate. There is really no comparison from what we are used to eating from other chocolate stores. Since then we have bought chocolates at their store in Lancaster and always find something we have not yet tried but really enjoy.

Let me start out by saying this is not your typical chocolate place like Watsons or Niagara…read morechocolates. This place is what I would consider a designer chocolate store. It's small location and focuses on REAL cocoa. So when you first walk in, you will be hit with a not-so-pleasant smell. This is due to the cocoa beans. If you aren't familiar with that smell, it can be off-putting. Suck it up and continue on to view the limited options they have available for purchase. Everything is vegan and organic so prices are higher than other chocolate stores and you will not find things such as chocolate covered Oreos or sponge candy. You will find several types of dark chocolate candy bars, chocolate covered pretzels, cocoa coffee, etc. Be sure to try out my favorite - the skipping stones. They are dark chocolate covered toffee pieces. It's a wonderful place to find a unique chocolate gift for someone but you have to know what you are walking into or you may be disappointed.

I got the Horchata one (since that is also something I enjoy). The first sip was good, but the more I drank of it, the more it just tasted fake and flavored, and I did not finish it. Based on that one I wouldn't want to try others. The food menu is very limited. The pizza crust is very thin - more like a crackery flavor - and the pepperoni is only in a circle on the outside? So it's basically a cheese pizza until you get to the crust unless you want to reorganize the toppings yourself. Atmosphere varies - many times I have stopped by and it was standing-room only and very loud, and I left without making it up to the bar. This time I came early enough that I was able to get a seat. It feels very dark after coming in from outside. Staff is friendly. Decor is fun and bee-themed. Restrooms are easily accessible and all-gender. Overall it is a fun place to hang out but the food and drinks didn't do it for me.

Gabrielle's used to be my favorite place in the Village of Lancaster. I supported them constantly…read more They have wonderful gluten free baked goods, as well as great breakfast sandwiches with a gluten free roll, if one so chooses. I will discuss three different run ins with Gabrielle's. First one - I went there in January to grab some sweets for a little crafting party I was hosting. I ordered both gluten free items and non gluten free items. The woman working, who was new, proceeds to ask me if she can put the non gf and the gf in one container. I said absolutely not. How can you not be trained on this, or not know not to do that. Why would I be ordering gf items, if I'm going to agree to put them in the same container. It defeats the purpose. Second time - Valentine's Day. My husband and I had a tradition of going to support Gabrielle's on Valentine's Day because they offered different gf items and a romantic atmosphere. This was our third time attending since living in the village. We arrived right when they opened, and they weren't opened yet, which was fine. When the owner unlocked the door, she wasn't very friendly. I let it slide, and continued to choose to visit Gabrielle's because I loved the baked goods and breakfast sandwiches. Third time - I stopped in on my way to an event to get a breakfast sandwich. It was about 10 minutes after they opened on a Saturday. It was quite busy there. There were roughly 2 or 3 tables occupied throughout my half hour stay.  Most notably there was a mom and daughter there. I'll get back to that in a minute. When I arrived, I was the only one at the counter. The same girl from the first not great encounter was making coffee behind the counter. That is fine. What wasn't fine, was that she didn't acknowledge me at all and I waited there awkwardly to put my order in for a good 5 minutes. Weird, that you wouldn't say, "Hi, it will just be a minute, as I'm working on another order,"  or something like that. The owner also came out of the kitchen during this time and took several Door Dash orders, but also didn't acknowledge me standing there. All I needed was a Hi, I'll be right with you. Something. I felt like a ghost. Fast forward, woman takes my order. It is for a gluten free breakfast sandwich. I sit down and wait. I wait for a solid half hour for my breakfast sandwich to be complete. During this time, the mother and daughter duo go up to the counter and say that they told the woman when they ordered that they needed to get everything by 9am, and it was 9am, and they still hadn't gotten their sandwiches yet. Why does it take a half hour to make 2 breakfast sandwiches?! They finally get their order and leave. The woman goes from the kitchen to the counter and is yelling to the owner, "If they wanted their food faster, they should have went to Tim Hortons." There was me and about 2 other tables present for that. I thought that statement was absolutely horrific and disgusting. Everyone who came through Gabrielle's and who goes to Gabriele's chooses to spend their money locally. To help a local family and support their business. To say that in front of customers, is abhorrent. I finally got my breakfast sandwich and left. I ruminated this for a while and decided against posting this review and emailing them directly about how this comment was unwarranted and not ok and the employee should be reprimanded. I received no reply back. This happened in February and it is now May. I have not received any acknowledgement regarding that my comment was received. I can only take it as the owner and employees don't care. Thus, I'm posting my review.   Not to mention that they claim to sell fresh bread on Saturdays, and there were a couple customers who arrived asking to purchase the fresh bread, and were told it was still rising and would be ready around 1 pm or so. What?! You would think they would be more in a hurry to get their bread out on a Saturday morning. That is when people want to eat fresh bread. It breaks my heart that I can't support this business anymore because the baked goods are so delicious, but I'm going to support other local businesses that value their customer base and are happy that the customers who walk through their doors want to support local.

It was a busy Saturday so there were a few people in front of us. We decided to get some things out of the pastry case and a couple chai lattes to go. Unfortunately for us with it being later in the day, the last of some of the items we wanted got taken before us but we ended up getting a slice of pumpkin roll, a cider donut, and a slice of carrot cake. The desserts were all so good. The cream cheese frosting was made perfectly and the cider donut had such a great flavor to it. The only downside was the wait for the drinks. The drinks took about 15-20 minutes to get to us. They were short on staff it seemed like so no worries but we had finished our food and were waiting for the drinks still. This is a really cute little spot on Main Street and I would love to go check it out again and hopefully try a couple of the things we didn't have a chance to next time.

Since…read moreI've been 18 y/o I've held management positions from shoe stores to fast food at every job I've ever had. I'm a nurse leader at a local hospital for the last 14 years. The reason I'm adding this is because I've never treated anyone the way Edible Arrangements in Depew STORE #1065 has treated me as well as my nursing team! I'm out sick right now.......my team ordered an arrangement to de delivered today (as advertised). I received a message on my phone at 12:18 pm that I had missed the delivery and to call back to set up a new time. I called back at 2pm. A very rude young girl (as already reported in previous reviews) said that I missed the delivery and would need to set up a new time for tmrw. I asked her what time were they at my house because my RING hadn't shown anyone near my house. She clarified "well we were going there and you didn't answer so we didn't deliver". Oh so I didn't miss a delivery then?? Well as for tmrw I have two doctor's appointments one in the am and one in the pm. I'll have to leave my house by 9:50 tmrw. Her response our drivers don't come in until 9:30am. Well ok then I'll be home by 3pm which is in your delivery times you just gave me! Her response with her completely annoyed tone....."they don't go to orchard park at that time but you can pick it up when you're out"! I could not believe what I was hearing! Soooooo my response was as follows : First I didn't miss a delivery because the order never left the store correct? Next you do understand the reason for the arrangement is because I'm out of work sick right so I will not be picking up the order EVER! Well it's 2pm now and I'm home and I'm not leaving the rest of the evening. You're delivering until 5:30 right, so go ahead and deliver. Her response "yeah we are booked for the rest of the day". Ok so can they get reimbursed for the order because obviously this is not working? No they can't! Ok I'd want to speak to a manager. Not a work exchanged but hold music came on so I assumed Susie sunshine was getting her manager......A women answered the phone with can I help you? No introduction a first name or who she was in the hierarchy of the store. This is the part that blew me away.....she was annoyed with me as soon as she spoke! A manager being aggressive with a customer???? What is going on!!!! I've shown more empathy when a customer's coffee wasn't hot enough and apologized for it!!!!! As a manager there are many people I've had to apologize to for the actions of others......sometimes they were right sometimes not but I always known no matter what the customers/patients whomever are to be dealt with a professionalism, kindness and curiosity......that goes with the position! Obviously at Edible Arrangements in Depew....they missed the mark! The manager was non accommodating what so ever! I told her it's 2pm I'm home you're delivering until 5:30pm correct. Her repose was "nope that doesn't work. We're really busy"! My response "ok then I'd like my nurses to be refunded their money as obviously this is not going to work." Her exact response "Yeah fine"! I started to ask for her name While thinking of saving time when my nurse calls back and asks for her directly (because she is working right now at the hospital and doesn't have time for the nasty teen queen) she hung up on me!!!!! I called back 10 times they'd pick up the phone and hang up! Disgusting treatment!!! Read and trust these reviews. Btw my next contact was corporate. Filed a complaint and already had a response with a call back with a date and time. I will tell everyone DO NOT DEAL WITH THIS TRASH STORE!!!!
