Joey came one day to service our pool and I told him to be careful because there was a black snake in our backyard. Joey caught the snake, put it in a 5 gallon bucket and removed it from our yard. We then had to replace our pool pump which he did the same day. He found out that Jandy was offering a newly updated controllers, and on his own, he reached out to them and explained that he had just done an intstall of a Jandy pump 2 weeks before the new controllers came out and they gave it to him. Most recently he sold us a refurbished replacement heater for our pool/spa. It was a 300,000 BTU unit and good brand. He said the unit had been removed from one of his commercial pools, it was a couple years old and in good working order. He claimed he did a tune up and sold it to us at a great price, fully installed and with a one year warranty. It seemed too good to be true and it was. After two uses the heater started to cutoff at a low temperatures and was useless. of course, we reached out to Shiek immediately but he stopped responding to my texts, I even dropped by his storefront and he refused to see me. The employee at his counter said she would pass the message along that I came by and informed me they were only open on an appointment only basis going forward. The problem with the heater doesn't bother me as much as the stonewalling. I even offered to pay for any parts required to repair the unit in one of my many text messages that he ignored. At this point all I can do is warn anyone thinking of doing business with Xtream - beware.

No response by Wednesday so I texted, "Hi, are you guys planning to send me an estimate?" Never received a response. 5/23 I called and a male with an English or Australian accent answers and I asked about the estimate. He sounded annoyed and says something about being busy with his family. He did not give me an explanation, just I am busy (maybe visiting, I don't remember) my family and says he'll do it soon. 5/28 I called the office number hoping to get someone else, maybe this is just a bad single employee. He answers again and says something about being busy with his family again and he'll do it tonight. I still haven't received it or heard from the company. Churchills Pools maybe the greatest pool service company in the world, but their customer service stinks. If I had gotten any reason for the delay and an actual timeline such as we are very busy and it will take three weeks and it was done in three weeks, I'd be fine. But when a company keeps missing its own deadline and only responds when I reach out, they have bad customer service. Unfortunately at this point I would not trust them to work on my pool equipment.

I changed to their weekly pool service and this is the first year in many I have not had an algae bloom or any skin irritation. We have an older chlorine pool and they keep it clean, swept, and in balance. I am home sometimes when they are here and see them checking the chemical levels. They have been honest with providing services, arriving at nearly the same time each week and my pool stays beautiful. I am very pleased and believe I get good value from them.

I'm also providing an update on my situation with the replacement Quattro cleaner I received in March 2024. (See my previous review.) First off, hats off to Marco for going ABOVE AND BEYOND for me relative to this product! I'm not sure anyone else would have made this much effort, but he truly values his longtime customers. The new Quattro did not even last 20 months! Starting in September, I noticed the cleaner was not climbing the pool walls properly. It then no longer rotated and would stall at the steps. Marco has been trying to discover what is at the center of this malfunction for several months, replacing various parts in an attempt to get it to work properly. He contacted his local Fluidra representative and they first said the Quattro was out of warranty. Marco would not take that position as a final answer. He requested the manufacturer send an entire new set of "guts" and he replaced every part FREE OF CHARGE. Sadly, the Quattro still does not run properly. I'll be looking to buy a new cleaner in the Spring, but Marco was not finished. He is working with the representative to see what discount I would receive on a future Quattro should I decide to stay with this manufacturer. (Not sure I will do that given the quality problems with this cleaner and the fact the manufacturer does not stand behind its defective product.) However, I give Marco extra credit to attempt to get me the best deal possible. Therefore, a huge amount of thanks and gratitude given to Marco and The Pool Pleaser for standing up for their repeat customers. They wouldn't do that and instead wanted to call/text before they came over. That would have been great but they didn't even do that. I let my dogs out one day and some guy I've never seen before was standing in my backyard. My dogs went nuts. He sprayed them with water in an effort to not get attacked.
