The man at the deli counter created a custom sandwich based on our request, and seemed happy to do so. He was patient and accommodating. The Tuscan bean soup, Caesar salad, and macadamia cookie that I had was delicious! Our son chose a cheeseburger from the prepared foods, and said that it tasted very good. We were also able to pick up sodas, crackers, and a variety of snacks. 5 stars!

You could literally smell the pickled onion on your sweat the next day after eating one of these bad boys. Ladies beware. -They stayed open real late and opened early, so even when their beer cooler locked up at midnight (blue laws), you could always wait it out till 6 the next morning. Well worth the wait, since you would also arrive in time to indulge in a McDonald's McGriddle next door. [The McGriddle is a breakfast sandwich where the 'bread' is composed of pancakes, literally injected with synthesized butter and maple syrup.] -Trips to this place among people I knew resulted in at least one DUI, my car transmission almost being destroyed when Kevin threw my car into reverse along Rt. 7, and Ethan getting banned for trying to start a fistfight there, then re-banned and almost arrested for showing up again...or so the story goes. They're miles better than the "shakes" from fast food purveyors that can't even legally be called "milkshakes" due to poor ingredient quality. Stewart's are a great convenience for the towns they serve, which can be pretty rural with few other choices as you get away from their main service area of Albany/Schenectady/Saratoga/Troy. This is worth a visit if you're nearby and don't want McDonald's or Subway for fast food, you want some cold beer, ice cream, cigarettes, lotto, or all of the above!
