That pharmacist called back later and said they didn't have the right number. When I called to give them the right number, a new pharmacist said they now had a policy not to give that medicine at the store and that my prescription was expired anyway, suggesting that they did get through to the pharmacy. Someone was clearly lying, not to mention messing with my health, since I need this dose every month. When I asked about what the first pharmacist had said, the second just kept saying: we no longer provide that medication. What kind of a pharmacy doesn't provide the medication you need?
