You could live a reasonably full life locked in here, provided you liked the Italian Supreme a lot. (See below for an explanation.) Some of the highlights:
-Their finest culinary specimen was the Italian Supreme, a gas station sandwich so full of personality that our college suite created a Facebook profile for it which had more friends than any of us (that may not be saying a lot). You could literally smell the pickled onion on your sweat the next day after eating one of these bad boys. Ladies beware.
-They stayed open real late and opened early, so even when their beer cooler locked up at midnight (blue laws), you could always wait it out till 6 the next morning. Well worth the wait, since you would also arrive in time to indulge in a McDonald's McGriddle next door.
[The McGriddle is a breakfast sandwich where the 'bread' is composed of pancakes, literally injected with synthesized butter and maple syrup.]
-Trips to this place among people I knew resulted in at least one DUI, my car transmission almost being destroyed when Kevin threw my car into reverse along Rt. 7, and Ethan getting banned for trying to start a fistfight there, then re-banned and almost arrested for showing up again...or so the story goes.
You could say that the Mobil brings out the best and the worst of humanity. read more
