My wife and I are total foodies, so the food and drinks we served at our wedding were incredibly…read moreimportant to us. We were looking for a straightforward, plated-dinner service with good food, which Jasmine Catering assured us they could do, but ultimately left us feeling incredibly disappointed. Jasmine did a few things well that we should mention. We ordered a table of mini desserts and late-night skyline coneys which were both perfect. In our meal, we had a salad with goat cheese, scalloped potato side, and salmon entree that were all delicious. Our problems with Jasmine began with the tasting. We informed them that we wanted prime rib and salmon as our entree options, but the only food we ate during our tasting was the salmon, chicken, a vegetable medley, and bruschetta on crackers. This was bizarre to us because we never asked for chicken, but Brenda made a meal for us with it because she had some leftover. We didn't get to taste any other appetizers or sides, nor did Brenda even have a list of options for what we could ask for. She said this was because their website was being redone so she couldn't see the list of what she makes? The appetizers we ordered were hot potato puffs and the bruschetta we tried, except we asked for it to be served on pieces of toasted baguette instead of crackers. At our wedding, the hot potato puffs were served cold and the bruschetta was on cold, untoasted bread. The prime rib entree was chewy, dry, and overcooked (well done) instead of medium rare like we were promised. Disappointed with our vegetable medley from our tasting, Brenda offered maple-glazed carrots, but they came out bland and waterlogged at our wedding with no recognizable maple flavor. The service was disorganized and they appeared understaffed. Salads were brought out before our champagne toast and had to be taken back to the kitchen. The head table was preset, but was missing one salad (for the bride) that we never got and no one had champagne. Before we could do our toast, ONE PERSON took our champagne flutes two at a time to the kitchen to pour champagne for our 13-person table while everyone waited. This pushed back our entire timeline by 10 minutes and left my wife and me feeling rushed for the next two hours. The bartending service was fine during our reception, but really missed a few key things. We ordered our alcohol through Arrow Wine & Spirits (great service) that accepts returns of unopened bottles and cases. We informed Jasmine of this. After our wedding, we had 27 open cases of beer/seltzer/soda from only 4 brands, where many cases had only one can missing. This cost us hundreds of dollars in what we could not return. We also paid Jasmine's extra to rent their frozen drink machine, but were never told how much mix to order. We ran out of frozen drinks within the first hour so the machine felt like a waste. Finally, multiple people including my wife mentioned a blonde woman making passive aggressive comments to them. Of course things will go wrong at any event the size of a wedding, but 90% of what went wrong at ours was because of Jasmine Catering. We trusted them to deliver on what they promised and spent ~$12k for 140 people for them to do so. They might be better suited to serve buffet-style meals, but from our experience, they can't execute a plated-dinner service. If you're looking for that type of service and quality food, you should not consider Jasmine Catering.

My niece, who is one of the sweetest people on earth, ask if everything was ready, at 5 mind you, and the owners daughter in law bit my nieces head off!! Said, "It will be ready when its ready!" We also did a pretzel bar and a nugget bar. Someone told the daughter in law, the pretzels are cold. She again, bit their heads off with "What do you want, you want them hot?!" No but at least warm would have been good. When we first met, we were told "we make our own cakes". The boxes said Ele. If i wanted a cake from Ele, I could have ordered it myself. We were also NOT TOLD that the nuggets for the nugget bar would be from Wendys, McDonalds & Chic fil la! If i had known that, I could have done that too. Spent WAY to much money for "drive thru food"!

Food: Inventive flavors and textures that mingled for a delightful array to please all taste buds ages 6-72! Presentation A+. Who does Vegan? Chef Dominick Harney does!…read more My daughter's a Vegan, and she married a Vegan. When she did, she told me she wanted a meat-free reception. I was reluctant, because there were far more carnivores than herbivores on the invite list, but she put me in touch with Chef Dominick. My wife and I met the chef with our daughter and her fiance. He suggested a local coffee shop, and when we arrived, he was extremely pleasant, but most importantly, he convinced us he could pull this off. I reluctantly agreed, and the following day, he forwarded the menu and a contract to me. It was reasonable, and looking at the menu, I started to see the light. As the day grew nearer, Dominick reached out to verify the final headcount, and on the day of the celebration, his crew arrived in plenty of time to serve the most wonderful vegetable meal ever conceived - at least in my humble opinion! From the appetizers to the main course, everything was packed with flavors, and with a couple of the items, several guests thought they were actually eating meat! Everything was fresh, crisp, and prepared EXACTLY the way she had asked it to be. I knew I had made the right choice, as all evening over 170 guests told me how wonderful the meal was, and how impressed they were at the catering. I told them all the same thing: Chef Dominick Harney at Flavor Catering and Bar Service!

Pretty cute truck with a nice setup and easy to read menu and ordering instructions. When I arrived there were about 5 customers ahead of me that already ordered their food and was waiting. I went up and after waiting a reasonable couple minutes, one of the two guys stepped off the grill to take our order. He was friendly and quick; we ordered two Philly cheesesteaks and asked about the chocolate chip cookies. He told us they were totally out of the cookies. He pointed out the two deserts on display at the order window and I told him we would try out the carrot cake. Our total was $25 and we added a tip. He advised us it would be about 10 minutes for our order to come out, which we appreciated the estimate. It was about 10-15 minutes when he called us to the pick up window to grab our food. He handed us the two boxes with cheesesteaks in them with some napkins. We asked about our carrot cake and it said they were all out he apologized and gave us two brownies...unfortunately they didn't even look very appetizing. I opened my box up and was immediately disappointed and skeptical--the meat looked overcooked and dry. When I picked it up oil dripped from the bottom of the sub buns and each bite caused oil to drip down my chin it was flavorless, and the overcooked meat was hard and dry. Definitely could improve with more seasoning, less oil and some more mayo. Very disappointing. Hubby agreed and after trying the brownies he said they weren't very good either. Unfortunately, this won't be a food truck we return to.

We always order about 3 different Executive Box Lunch combinations. The most popular items are usually the classic trio or the chipotle chicken. Common feedback on our post meeting evaluations is that the food is delicious. We've been getting more requests for gluten free items and I am happy to say that you can barely notice the difference in their gluten free cookies. If you are a bread lover, the bread is always the highlight of the sandwich. It tastes what it is: fresh and homemade. I love their potato salad, even though it has the evil that is celery in it. They also have a frogs eye salad, which I never heard of, and still quite determine what it is (tapioca and pineapple and cream?), and I love it anyway. It is my favorite of their side salads. In fact, when our meetings were on pause during the height of the pandemic, I tried looking up how to make it and gave up. I digress. Their other treasure? That cheesecake. Creamy, soft, decadent - the perfect cheesecake. It's what cheesecake dreams are made of. And just enough of a serving where you felt good about what you ate, especially considering how much they pack into the lunch boxes (everyone leaves full and some save the chips for later bc they get so full). Today, they get a special shout-out though. They are so punctual that when I realized they were 15min out of their window, I knew something was wrong. I ordered the food for the wrong day and they STILL came to my rescue. They kindly delivered 20 lunches within an hour with no complaints. I always work with Dava, and she and her team had my heart today. Apple Spice forever!

I swapped the bread for sourdough, but it didn't have much of that signature sourdough tang. My sandwich was also cut from the end of the loaf, so the tapering meant I got a bit less bread. Flavor-wise, the chipotle mayo carried the sandwich. The bacon was of the pre-cooked, ready-to-eat variety--like what you'd find from Oscar Mayer or Kirkland. Not bad, but a little underwhelming since I was expecting freshly cooked based on a coworker's hype. The bacon was also clumped in the center, which was surprising considering the care they put into packaging. Would've been better evenly distributed for balanced bites. Packaging was excellent. Everything comes beautifully packed and cleanly presented--puts places like Subway to shame. Toppings come a la carte, so you can build the flavor profile to your liking. Even came with utensils, which you don't always get for other places. Making you have to walk back in to get them. The box also included: Carrot slices - Fresh and sweet, a nice surprise. Ranch dip - A bit green in color (maybe herbs?), but didn't taste off. Chocolate chip cookie - Soft, not dry, and packed with big chunks of chocolate. Very good. For $11.99, I felt the value was decent, especially with the sides and thoughtful packaging (heavy-duty box and thick plastic bags for the carrots and pickle so they don't spill). Just be aware that extras will cost extra--those add-ons can creep up if you're not paying attention. Ordering online was easy, and they offer a rewards program for repeat customers. The shop itself has a nice atmosphere--clean, welcoming, and good for a quick lunch. Just remember to bring your own drink, as beverages aren't included. Bottom line: A great place for a well-packaged, satisfying lunch. With a few tweaks to ingredient prep, it could easily be a 5-star spot.
