Allstate was efficient and timely and easy to deal with and they sent out The Haus Appliances and Tony came out. Great tech. Informative, knowledgeable, friendly and very helpful with suggestions. Dealing with The Haus was easy and I will keep their info to use them for other things outside of this fridge warranty bc they are knowledgeable and work the problem which is very helpful.

Poor communication…read more Told us they ordered a part for our fridge that was on back order for 10-20 days but would inform us if part came back sooner. It's been over a month so called back to check status of the part. Now they are trying to gaslight us and say they never received authorization to order the part so they never did, even though they clearly left a voicemail saying that they had already ordered the part. Good thing iPhone transcribes all voicemails. Unless you want to wait and wait for good, honest service. I'd highly recommend you go elsewhere.

Very disappointed in my experience with Eugene. Called regarding my Whirlpool refrigerator as the…read moreice chute was no longer dispensing the ice. Was advised it was auger motor or wires at bottom. I ordered the auger motor as the price quoted was quite high. Eugene installed..and it was not the auger motor. He returned to work on the wires and I was thrilled that it then worked. Unfortunately it took me a week to notice there was no new ice being generated and the wire to the ice maker i. That wire bundle must have been broken in the process of fixing the dispensing wire. Called him to come back to fix...and he has never returned my calls despite calling him numerous times. So I paid $200 and had 3 visits to fix a ice dispenser for a frig that no longer makes ice. Awful.

This company was recommended highly by someone on another social app. They have several phone #'s…read moreand when they answer the phone they don't answer as a company. They answer as a plain "hello." A repairman came to my house and checked my oven. Was difficult to understand when he tried to explain what was wrong with my oven. I asked him to write what he thought was wrong. Again I didn't understand. Then he quotes me an astronomical amount to take some part from my oven with him and repair and bring back to me. First, I wasn't clear on what exactly he was talking about. Then, he wrote on estimate sheet after I paid him the house call fee but his writing was poor and I couldn't understand most of his writing. Needless to say, I had a bad experience and will never call these guys again. As for Nextdoor, I'll have to go on there and write an update. I should've read the reviews on here. Never again.

Nick and Yuri were very responsive and their pricing for fixing my leaking dishwasher was fair…read more Yuri was polite and friendly, and while the repair ended up needing multiple trips (NOT their fault -- the odd parts had to be ordered and shipped), they still got it done quickly. I really appreciated that Yuri took the time to show me videos of the parts that weren't working, both before and after the repair. I would recommend them to anyone seeking appliance repair and will call them again in the future for my own needs.

This is turning into a public service announcement. I have no idea what these people are thinking,…read morebut now it's getting creepy. After I updated my earlier review (please see below if you're interested) I got a phone message from Nick asking me to call them so they could talk to me ... about what? You've already caused a problem and I stated why what you did was problematic. That should have been the end of it. Nope. There have been multiple calls (without leaving a message) after leaving the second message and now someone has showed up at my house to talk? Way beyond appropriate. Ladies ... if you live alone or will be home alone DO NOT HIRE these people! There are multiple boundary issues in my experience with them and now I'm worried I'll need to call the police out to get them to leave me alone, all because they're not happy that I chose to post calling them out for poor communication. Here is my original (and updated) review: Scheduled me for an appointment, then cancelled on me 10 minutes before the window started. Really not helpful as I could maybe have found someone else in the intervening 2 1/2 hours. Updating this after receiving a voice message from Nick who wants me to remove my review because it doesn't have anything to do with their work performance. Sorry, not going to do that. I've decided to update because the message that was left is indicative of very poor customer service/relations. First, according to Nick it's not their fault they had to cancel because they are very busy on Sundays. I don't have an issue with the cancellation but with how it was handled. And if you're so busy Sundays, then why not have your representative/phone service/AI Bot tell me that? The business chose to allow the appointment to be booked with no warning up front that it might be cancelled. 5 of the other 6 businesses I called flat out told me they had no openings. Your rep/service/bot could have done the same. Next, according to Nick it's not their fault they didn't cancel sooner because I didn't give a cell phone number so they couldn't text me. Seriously? Not everyone is glued to their cell phone and some of us live in areas where they don't work that well. Regardless of how this company performs once they get somewhere, communication is a big part of customer service. And poor communication is very relevant ... you need to be able to trust a company and it's people if they come into your home. I was displeased with being treated poorly regarding the last minute cancellation, but calling almost a week later to tell me why I should take down my review is a whole new level of irritation. Very glad they've shown their true colors so I don't make the mistake of possibly giving them a chance in the future. Updating to add a comment in reply to Stephan: Stephan, your words would carry more weight if they represented actual facts. Perhaps you just didn't bother to read what I wrote? I never said the cancellation was made during the appointment window and your time frame is flat wrong ... a call at 9:51am for a 10:00am appointment is about 10 minutes prior (as I stated on August 1) not 25 minutes before. Also, your statement about wanting to understand my concerns falls flat as I had already stated my reasons in the first update to the review on 8/1 ... but it appears that you never bothered to read it. You could have easily responded here instead of having someone make additional calls on 8/3 and 8/4 or showing up at my house on 8/7. Persistent? No, most people would say pushy at the least and highly inappropriate for the circumstances. And while you're welcome to run your business anyway you see fit, you need to understand that you were wrong multiple times in this episode, including attempting to subvert the platform by demanding that I remove the review in the first place. Saying you respect someone does not mean you do, and your actions have shown that you absolutely do not ... if you did, you'd have actually read my 8/1 update and responded here instead of continuing to harass me by phone or in person.

I really appreciated when Mo texted to let me know he was going to come at the end of the arrival window. I would recommend Don's appliances to anyone in the Long Beach area because they were courteous and professional. They are flexible with delivery times and communicate well if something comes up. With a stove I got back in June, it had a faulty part and once they diagnosed it, they swapped it out with a like unit without hesitating. With a fridge I just got, they were respectful of my pets and were really careful that doors were closed to prevent escape. They even waited for me to clean the floor under my fridge before placing the one they were delivering. the appliances have been in great shape and working as expected. 100% would recommend California Appliance for all your tariff-avoiding-appliance-shopping needs!

The place I bought it from apparently sliced wires together and taped them. Well, the wires burned and melted the electrical tape. Today was my washers turn... they came out and it was the stupidity child's lock that I didn't even know I had. He unlocked it in minutes and I was back to doing laundry. Since there was nothing wrong with the machine, they kindly gave me 30% off their service price for being a repeat customer. I looked around and came across Brian's number which was listed by a neighbor on NextDoor. I checked his Yelp page, not only did he have one but it was solid. I left a message for Brian and he called me back within the hour. I gave him the details and he said he would call me back later looking it up. An hour later he calls me back and said that the pedestal washer was actually not something that he's familiar with and therefore wouldn't feel comfortable working on it. What a stand up kind of guy! He did what he said he was going to do (called me back when he said he would) and he was up front and completely honest about not being familiar with this type of washer. In fairness, I couldn't give Brian 5 stars because I actually didn't use him, however I do want to still leave him a solid review for his customer service. I'm sure that had I been able to use him, he would have gotten 5 stars. I'll be keeping his number handy for when I(or someone I know in the area) need him in the future. Oh! And he's a veteran (from his website) - so that's always a plus in my book! Cheers!
