Having moved to Aliso Viejo nearly 8 months ago and hearing of several neighbors having slab leaks and needing to re-pipe their homes in the last couple of months, we have been weary of the potential for issues with harmful chemicals in the water. I recently purchased a new construction home and wanted to add a water softener due to the water hardness in my area. I called and researched a few companies. After getting a few quotes and speaking to various companies I felt that Shawn was the most thorough and knowledgeable when it came to the softener and options available. In our old home (San Diego; also known for having hard water) I only had a filtration which helped slightly (when comparing with my neighbors) with the water hardness but realized I was still dealing with the water stains and limescale buildup on the faucets. Immediately after Waterwise installed the softener the entire family felt the difference the softer made when taking showers and baths. Water stains were no longer building up around the sink and showers. Prior to the installation we had lived in our new home for about a month and could see the hard water stains already building up and was especially noticeable on our front load washer glass door. All I can say is WOW! After an exhaustive amount of research and many questions answered I decided on Waterwise/Nuvia Pro System for my whole house water filtration, water softener and RO drinking system. I found them on the Yelp and Shawn was very informative and patient with all my questions. All they do is water treatment, as oppose to others who were just plumbers pushing the systems they get a discount on. In addition, all these plumbers just seemed "slick", not to mention overpriced. The guys at Waterwise Solutions (Shawn, Hugo and Bill) were professional throughout the whole process. The team was diligent, responsive, meticulous and experienced and it shows in the quality of the installation. There was an issue with installing the custom faucet due to the tight space underneath the sink which was completely out of their control (I blame my builder). I was utterly amazed of how Shawn handled the issue...he could have walked away and just blame the builder but he didn't! Shawn provided a resolution which Hugo came out to resolve the issue. Shawn took the "it may not be our fault, but it is our problem - to solve" approach! That's accountability! Taking ownership of the situation, whether it be good or bad. I have had the Nuvia water system for 6 months now and I am here to say that it makes a huge difference! After 1 year of shopping soft water companies including multiple interviews, quotes and research on various filtration systems, we went with Waterwise Solutions and could not be happier. Our journey in search of a water filtration system began with our first pinhole leak April 2013. After too much research on the water we are exposed to in Orange County (including other parts of California), the question was no longer "if we get a filtration system," it was "when." Our decision was confirmed by our 2nd pinhole leak in December 2013. Knowing there were more to come based upon the numerous plumber trucks frequenting our neighbors, we had our house repiped with PEX and our Waterwise filtration system installed. Some might ask, "Why the filtration system since you got new pipes?" When we saw what the water did to our pipes, we no longer wanted to subject ourselves and our children to that water. It's disgusting. As a result, we are now pinhole free and we're enjoying fresh drinking water. Showers not only smell better (no chloramines), but they're easier to clean (no build up in the shower). There isn't any buildup in our dishwasher and our washing machine. Everything, EVERYTHING is coming out cleaner and fresher. Even our cars wash easier (no spots!). The purchase of the system was easy and no hassle. They provided various options based upon the water usage and payment alternatives if you couldn't pay it all upfront. The owner was very knowledgeable about what his company had to offer and why it was the best fit for our family. The installment is flawless and almost a work of art in that it is placed perfectly in the garage and does not take up much space. It's a tight and perfect set up. My garage was left cleaner than when they started. We couldn't be happier with the water we're drinking, bathing and playing in. If you grew up in south Orange County like I did, you'll note the water is not the same today v. when we were growing up. They're adding way more chemicals to the water.
