We were also having them replace a skylight over our addition. The skylight had leaked off an on since it was installed 20 years ago. It had been looked at by several companies over the years and no one could provide a solution . The skylight replacement was a problem because they could not find a replacement to fit the measurements. The guys came out several times. A couple of days ago, Elmer came out and spent some time making noise on the roof. When he finished, he said that the skylight would not leak anymore and that there was NO CHARGE for all the work they had done. As it turns out, the skylight had been installed incorrectly which is why the measurements were off. Elmer took it apart, figured out the problem and reinstalled it the right way. I repeat, NO CHARGE, event though we agreed to pay over $1,000 for a new skylight. He said he wouldn't do a job that was not needed. Yesterday we had a torrential rain and there were no leaks! I asked Elmer if he was the boss and he answered modestly that he was a "team member." In fact, he is the owner of Egama. Egama is an excellent, reasonably priced roofing company. Most important it is run with honesty and integrity!

I called 5 of them and waited for responses. A manager at Golden Group was the first to respond. I made an appointment with him on the following Saturday and by then 3 others had responded and met me on that day. Long story short: I chose Golden Group and am still pleased I did. They finished the job in 2 days with a large, industrious crew who were incredibly hardworking and did a wonderful job cleaning up. He installed a premium Owens Corning Roofing system for thousands less than I had been quoted by another reputable company for lower quality materials from the same brand. He and his team are trained as Owens Corning preferred installers which gives you great warranty benefits and a great roof aesthetic. When my roof was done, there was a particular nuance that I had wanted with the orientation of my ridge vent, but I had not specifically asked for. I called him about it after the job was done, and he was so serious about making me happy that he sent a guy and the materials to come back and make it how I wanted, free of charge! Also, he did this AFTER I had made final payment to him, so he had nothing to gain besides making a customer happy. If you are looking to have your roof done, give Leo a call. After seeing our foundation, he explained why the siding can't be extended, but he took the time to present me with other options we could try to fix the problem, none of which his company would be able to do, but he helped me anyway.
