Be prepared...this is a looong review. It is something I always hope for when making a big investment/decision. From the very beginning, when we were just shopping bids, Ensar was always professional, courteous, and honest! He was extremely easy to work/collaborate with and made sure that every step of the way was explained fully until we felt completely comfortable and knowledgable about what was going on. Ensar and Waterfall Pools turned our idea and dream of a backyard into reality! We had our entire backyard done with a pool & spa (heated and saltwater system), artificial grass play area for our son to run around on, cement pavers with artificial grass borders around the pool, prepared planters around the parameter of our backyard (that we later had landscaped) and existing tree, a foundation for a storage shed (my father-in-law and I later built...although Ensar kindly offered his team to build it for us), another larger foundation with ready-to-use gas, electric, water, and drain lines for a future pergola & outdoor kitchen we installed afterwards, a natural gas fire pit, and even helped with relocating some gravel to the other side of my house so I could reuse it instead of it being thrown out/lost in the dig up. The pool & spa are amazing and exactly as we designed it to be...Ensar added multi-colored LED lights to enhance the vibe at night, even though we were perfectly fine with plain/white lights. I had a terrible experience working with Ensar. He offered a good price and may have delivered a decent plaster job (time will tell), but the process was anything but smooth. I set up the pool/spa replaster job for my Dad, since he is elderly. My Dad's home is currently a rental. The contract was simple and stated the scope of work, as well as start and end date, 7 days total. The day the project was supposed to start, no one showed up. There was no communication about this from Ensar. I reached out to him that night asking what happened. He responded the next day via text saying they would start the following Monday. He also mentioned something about us needing to find someone to do the "start-up" process once the plastering was complete. The cost would be an additional $600. This was news to us. We had no idea this was necessary. After further research, most of the other pool re-plastering companies include the "startup" in their price because it ensures the longevity of the plaster. If not done correctly, the plaster could begin to fail in a few years. This was all important information that Ensar should have provided before we signed the contract with him. On Monday, they did show up to drain the pool and spa but there was an area wide power outage. So Ensar asked his guys to leave the pump in the pool and have the tenants make sure it began working once power was restored. Power was back on a few hours later yet the pump wasn't working. Instead of sending his guys back out to troubleshoot, I had to troubleshoot myself with the tenants over the phone (I live a few hours away), and after swapping out the extension cord and plugging it into an outlet in the house, we got it working. The next morning, no one showed up so our tenants moved the pump to the spa to drain it. The guys did not show up until 3pm that day and only worked a few hours. They finished the next day. But the whole time I was concerned about Ensar honoring the warranty if the startup was not done correctly by someone I hired so asked him to find someone. The guy he referred had no contractors license but lied and said he did. Why is this important? In the state of CA, even if you run a pool maintenance business, you legally cannot charge more the $500 for any job unless you have a contractors license and Ensar's referral wanted to charge us $600. At this point I was realizing that Ensar was not going to be honest about anything so began doing my own research about re-plastering pools. One step that he was leaving out (according to all the websites on line) was applying a bonding solution before re-plastering to help the plaster adhere to the base. Once applied, it takes 8-10 hours to dry. I asked Ensar about this because I was trying to figure out the timeline of when he would finish so that I could coordinate the startup with my Dad's pool maintenance guy. The response I got back from Ensar was about how I needed to trust him since he's been doing this since he was 16 years old and basically he was annoyed that I was doing my own research and asking questions, because he was so bad at communicating information. He was ranting about not being able to make me happy when all I wanted was information. After they completed the plaster, they put the hose in the pool and left the tenants to watch the process for the next 18 hours and the tenants also had to fill the spa. Ensar's team never came back after finishing plastering. Then, Ensar arranged to meet my Dad the next day at noon at the house to give him his final check and go over anything the tenants needed to do or not do. I drove the 2 hours to meet with Ensar as well. But, he was a no show. We waited 30 minutes, no call or text letting us know he couldn't make it. He sent me a text the next day with the invoice (we left a check at the house for him), and I asked him why he didn't show up. He said he called but the call must not have gone through. No missed calls or texts on our end. The guy is completely dishonest and took more time and energy on my part than I should have ever had to commit to such a basic project. My advice... Find someone who is professional, communicates well and has integrity. It may cost you a little more but will be well worth your time. Again, we don't really know how good his work is. I wish he had cleaned the pool tiles or offered. He only offered to replace them. It's been a learning experience for sure. read more

Fantastic! Ensar is The Man, no question! They just wrapped up our complete pool overhaul - they added a spa and re-finished the pool with micro-pebble and really nice new tile.
