We purchased a culligan water softener system since we were so familiar with it in our business. We owned a Bed and Breakfast with 6 double whirlpools so lots of softened water was used. When we moved into our new home last year I noticed that the water softener pellets were just not moving. We called and had it repaired. The service fee was $139.00. Last month I had to call culligan again because again the salt was not going down. Once again they repaired it (the part was under warranty) but we still paid $130.00. I completed a survey that culligan sent and I gave them a 5 out of 10. The service was excellent but I was dissapointed that I had 2 service calls on a fairly new unit. A customer service rep contacted me which was surprising and he was genuinely concerned that I was not 100 per cent satisfied. He looked up my repair history and yesterday I recieved a check in the mail in the full amount of both repairs. They did not have to do this but they did. I was and am very impressed at the level of customer service. Culligan is a good product but it is subject to repairs on occassion, what product isn't ? The fact that they stood behind it and wanted to keep a happy customer with 2 full refunds is above and beyond. The earliest they can service this request is 3/19/2025. i will be charged $80 for the visit, plus parts. If they have to come back, I will be charged $95.00. In the meantime, my family will need to rely on bottled water until then. I'm sure there's someone looking for work in this field. I need to under how it is that Culligan in Modena doesn't have enough techs to make a more prompt service call. I'm very disappointed.

When I agreed to…read morepurchase the system and also a new reverse osmosis system, I was told by the salesman, Paul, that someone would come out to check the system & make sure it was functioning properly about a month after install. This never happened. When I contacted the office, I was told this definitely should have happened and the salesman should have contacted my husband. Months have passed, and still nothing from Paul. The person in the office said she would contact Paul and he should be reaching out to us. Nothing. Another week passed and I called the office again. This time I spoke with someone else who also said the system should have been checked after install. This time I was able to schedule the follow-up with the person in the office. She gave a window of time that the service person would arrive, but she also said the day of the appointment (today!) the person coming to check the system would call and narrow it down to a two hour window. No one ever called or showed! Culligan also offers home delivery of salt. Another thing Paul sold us on and it has been nothing but bad! The first delivery date came and the driver (who is supposed to bring the salt wherever you want--including to the basement where the system is) tried to deliver only 2 of the 5 bags we were supposed to receive (and leave them inside my front door). He told me "well, 5 is a lot." He didn't know our delivery schedule! It's every other month, so five bags WAS appropriate! The second delivery date came and went...we didn't receive any salt! The bill came without problem, of course, and showed the last delivery date was 6/30/23 and the reason NONE NEEDED was given in regards to how many bags were delivered. A lazy driver lied and likely cut his Friday short leading into a holiday weekend. He never even came to our house! We were also told that if a delivery was scheduled at a time we weren't home, the bags of salt would be left on the porch. We have a video doorbell. We know he never even came! All in all, it's been a horrible experience! I would NOT recommend using Culligan services, and I would definitely not recommend buying anything from Paul! It's clear that he gives a story to get the sale, making things sound like they treat their customers well. But then you buy, spend thousands of dollars, and they forget about you completely!!

Having the peace of mind to have clean pure water makes it do worth the money. Then, there's Tom our delivery person. He is the most remarkable person. Even our Chihuahua loves him. We are senior citizens which makes it tough to lift the 5 gallon bottles. Tom always offers to bring them in the house in the winter and leaves the on our back deck (closer than to the kitchen) in the summer. Love this guy!!

Years later when I had some work done on my well I learned this guy charged for 390 feet of wire, pipe, and service to now learn it was 280 all this time.
