At the Silverdale location, they've done away with the little mobile truck that would appear during summer months in the waterfront parking lot and now have a permanent booth down the pier. They only offer sit on top style kayaks (and stand up paddleboards) at this location, likely to cater to a more user and family friendly experience. If you've never been kayaking sit on tops are super stable, easy to get in and out of and don't have that feeling of confinement. The downside is you're almost guaranteed to get wet while paddling. In years past they offered recreational style sit inside kayaks at this location (closed tops with adjustable pedals etc.) which is what I was expecting when we arrived and when I asked it sounds like these might still be available in Poulsbo if that's more your jam. First come, first serve, the gals at the booth were super friendly and helpful and they are happy to store your wallet or small bag behind the counter for you. The nice part about the permanent booth is you no longer have to drag your kayak down the beach to the water, it's tied right there at the pier. Reasonable prices for not having to store, load or haul a kayak of your own from home. They also offer a discounted rate for 'military days' similar to a family night or matinee pricing. I didn't see this specifically advertised on the website just posted on the booth so it might be worth a quick walk down the pier to check their current specials. We snagged the $5 off yelp deal and enjoyed a beautiful morning on the water and Olympic Outdoor Center could not have made our experience any easier!

Overall, really fun photo opp experience, great initial date spot, and something to definitely try and do while living or visiting Seattle.

He poured out a little bubbly and you helped yourself to the buttery popcorn. The screening was definitely for the tenants of the marina because they all knew each other which was kinda cool that they put out the event on FB. They had the best swag ever, which was ed knit caps just like Bill Murray's crew in the film. This was very low key, low attendance, and intimate. I called him from my layover in Oakland, California and told him I was gonna try to get a paddle in that same evening,if possible, he started describing it and said, "Man you just gotta get here, I'll drop you a pin!. You're not gonna believe what an amazing experience you're gonna have!" We both had goosebumps, he was so pumped and excited, and so was I!!! He was so right, Everything was perfect, and my goosebumps had goosebumps. It was such a beautiful Paddle. A few days later, I had a little more time on my hand, so I gave him a call, once again blew me away. My final night before I was to fly home opened up and once again he went above and beyond. I record my paddles with a GARMIN watch that synchronizes with the RELIVE app to show your video Trail on a satellite map and any pictures and videos you take and geo-stamped along your trail. It also allows you to edit pictures that were taken of you while you're paddling. And you guessed it, Scott took pictures of me out on the water. The guy is just amazing, his passion has no limits and it's infectious. I've never experienced such good service.
