We came to Watch Works to replace a watch band and battery, and we're really glad we did. Ara was incredibly kind and professional. He replaced the leather band, added an extra hole, and even moved the old buckle onto the new band, making the watch look great. After replacing the battery on the other watch, he entered the information into the system in case the battery doesn't last as expected. I have been buying watches here for years now, I mean I have probably spent over a grand here easily. Ara is an amazing watchmaker and knows everything from crystals to movements. Brought in a watch to have some links taken out, they charged a fair price and took down information in case you needed to have it resized in the future. Last month I brought a watch to get a battery. It was about $14 with tax. Very fair price, other places I went to were not so fair...at ALL! Very friendly, fast service. I then brought 4 watches yesterday. One watch did not work, even with a new battery. The service tech said he cleaned the inside and it still didn't work. It's an old watch, possibly 30 years old. The tech was apologetic that he couldn't get it to work. But that's ok with me. Another watch was a Casio pathfinder, the solar kind. The tech informed me that I didn't need a battery for this Casio Pathfinder. Just needed sunlight, it has been sitting in a drawer for 5 years or more, since we all have smart phones, what's the use for a watch...LOL. This is a great place to get your watch fixed, new batteries, or purchase new watches. Fast, Honest and friendly service. Came in on a whim to be day after going to several other watch stores closer to the beach in search of a specific watch. I browsed their selection which wasn't as big as other stores, but still they had some great pieces! I mentioned to Ara, the store manager, the watch I was looking for who then offered to make some calls, and check their main store in Mission Viejo when we went there next. I received a call later in the week informing me he had found the watch, a Hamilton Khaki Mechanical Field Bronze edition. He let me know it would be locked in his safe, and that I could come check it out whenever was convenient for me, no pressure. I came in to check it out, and we had a nice talk about different watch makers, manufacturers, and movements. Never once did I feel any pressure to purchase anything. The watch was more beautiful than it looked in pictures, and after he offered, without any haggling, a better price than any online I purchased the watch. I had a terrible experience when I tried to return a watch that simply did not work properly. The owner was insulting from the moment I explained the problems I was having. The first thing he said to me was, "I am not going to give you your money back because this watch is beat up." I'd only had the watch for 8 days and it was in pristine condition! After 15 minutes of dealing with his insults, he finally agreed to give me a refund, but then as he processed the return, he kept insulting me! He said, "What kind of a person returns a watch after wearing it. I wish we had never sold it to you in the first place." Finally, I had to say, "Would you please stop insulting me? I then went to Watch Works near the Yard House. 2 of the watches were $14.95 each and the third watch was $12.95. Out-the-door for $46.29 with tax, and with a 2 year warranty. BIG difference. I suggested the batteries were the problem I was informed by him that it was not he informed me that is possibly a solar cell and they could not do the repair.
