We have gone to Watch Works a number of times--and kept coming back--because Nick is incredibly friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Unfortunately, today we had to deal with this other employee whose name we don't know because he never introduced himself. You'll recognize him by his manbaby huffing and puffing and rolling of eyes when you ask him anything. We should have known we were in trouble when we showed up when the store opened and he was visibly upset that we showed up WHEN THE STORE OPENED, and he proceeded to grunt and groan like we were putting him out. He even told another employee, "This happened yesterday!" What? Customers tried to give you business during your posted hours of operation? Little bit of advice: Maybe show up, I don't know, 5 minutes before the store opens like any other professional outfit so you aren't stressed when someone shows up? We had a chain, a clock and eight watches we wanted to sell to him. He didn't want the clock or the chain but said, "14 dollars each for the seven watches. Come back in an hour because I need to set up the store." Weird, since Nick has always paid us right away, but that was fine. We sat in our car for an hour and then came back in. First thing out of his mouth to us? "You're early." We came back in FIVE minutes before the hour mark. He then proceeded to type out a receipt and said, "100 and something dollars." I let him know we didn't want them fixed--we were there to sell them. Oh, boy. This set the manchild off. He yelled, "THIS HAPPENED YESTERDAY! NOW I HAVE TO TAKE ALL THE BATTERIES OUT!!!" This was in front of other customers who were looking at him like he was crazy. If it happened yesterday, it would stand to reason that you do not know how to do your job. Maybe greet your customers. Maybe let them know your name. Make them feel welcome? And then ask them a few standard questions so you know what is going on instead of throwing a tantrum about everything like a 5-year-old who got his lil toy taken away. So we drove all the way to Cerritos, waited an hour and came away with nothing. A total waste of time--and no apology. As we told Nick (who showed up later) on our way out, we will never be back. That guy obviously hates dealing with the public and needs to find another line of work. read more

I was referred by Laco Watch in Germany after purchasing a Flieger watch direct from them. I chose Nick at Watch Works in Cerritos who is an authorized dealer for Laco. Nick accommodated me by doing a warranty regulation on the watch to correct the negative deviation (runs slow). He did not have to do that as Laco has no service centers in the US. But since he was an Authorized Dealer he took care of me. He did an excellent job of regulating my watch. Very happy and a loyal customer going forward. I was greeted by Raffie, who took one look at my watch and said he can replace the battery right now. No sending out for repair and waiting 2 to 3 or 4 weeks. How cool is that? While I waited, I looked at their jewelry and watches and saw quite a nice variety. Dropped off my Rolex 1601 today for service, cleaning and polishing super friendly guy the people who say he is rude just don't understand people have different tones in their voice this guy has a stern tone but super friendly super helpful. Told him I wanted the date wheel cleaned and the dial cleaned and he said in a stern tone he's absolutely not touching the dial bc with the linen type of dial it could easily scratch off and ruin it. Not rude at all in fact super happy he told me that I wasn't aware and another shop I took it to quoted me $325 just to clean the dial and they could've ruined it. Told me I could put a deposit down if I wanted to or pay in full at pickup but I just paid half now. Super great people super great guy will update with pictures after I get the watch. Edit: just got the watch back and definitely worth it. It's running smooth looking clean and Nick was an absolute pleasure to work with. He's honest transparent and knows what he's doing. My Rolex is from the 70s but it's looking a lot better now. Will 100% be back with all watch needs read more

Everything was excellent: Easy to find, ample parking, the store was warm & inviting, I was immediately welcomed as I walking through the door - seriously, everything you wish for in a specialty small business like this one. I informed Nick he is "famous on the internet" which made partner Talia laugh, although I am certain she agreed. Nick is truly the master of his craft, and while I admitted I almost tried to DIY my watches using a You Tube video, I just really wanted a professional to take the responsibility off my plate - and Nick was absolutely that professional.
