The first review I saw for this business was, "A Little High, But Worth It". I got a pack of…read morehotlinks and a pack of jerky and it was about $32. I agree it was high. I am assuming it was a pound of links and a half pound of jerky. $25 would have been a fair price. I love Oberto products and there links are $8 per pound and the jerky is about $30. These links were spicy. Nowhere near as hot as I expected, but certainly hotter than 90% of what I find with most butchers. I could have used a little more salt, but overall, a decent link. The jerky was also decent, I wish I would have read the package before buying they. They use brown sugar and I don't like sweet and meat. Jerky should be smokey, salty and peppery. If you like you jerky sweet, then teriyaki or honey habanero should be your choice. Truth be told, when given the option, I always go with sugar free jerky. It's meat, not candy. I saw these guys at the Farmers Market and they had samples of most of what they sold, but not all varieties. So I sampled jerky, but it was teriyaki. I also sample one of their pepperoni's. I want to try the spicy, but the sample was jalapeno cheddar if I recall. I didn't care for it. Overall, I'd give a 4 for flavor, but a 2 for price which overall would be 3. Their current score is 3.5 and had the prices been more competitive, I could see myself giving 3.5 and rounding up to 4.

Not cheap but if you're looking for a great piece of meat, you pay the price for quality. One of the butchers tied it up for me and even seasoned it and gave me some recommendations. I put it on the smoker in the next day and it wasn't an incredible piece of meat. Everyone loved it and raved about it. Definitely recommend this place for their assortment and customer service.

Wow. If you are looking for smoked or cured fish as a souvenir from Seattle, you better put down…read morethat kitschy boxed stuff and come here! The fish here tastes and smells like the high quality, flavorful, well-made stuff it is. The fish looks beautiful too. They let us try the regular smoked salmon, the garlic, and the candied. All superb. Be warned the candied stuff - heck, all of them are addicting. The cost may seem high, but it is completely justified. You aren't getting bottom of the barrel keta (translated from native tongue to "dog") fish or "pink" salmon (only 1 tier up), you're getting fresh fish. There was no hint of gross "fishy" smell before or after eating. (To make your salmon last longer, may I suggest enjoying your salmon with rice and veggies, or in a sandwich?) They also sell high quality pork, beef, chicken, and other things in the freezer like sausage, duck, cheese. They also have pretty nicely priced wines for sale, from low $10s and up. Whites, reds, and bubblies. Highly recommend you make the side-tour to this joint for salmon. A fish dressed to impress that will win you praises.
