I have been coming here for many years. The service is knowledgeable, everyone I have interacted with knows their meats and can make helpful suggestions. As a small shop, They started out as a smaller butcher stand. Happily, they expanded their meat offerings. This is an incredible place to get high quality meats. And, to make use of their expanded culinary creations. I love so many items. One of my favorite things to get, is their variety of sausages. Banger sausages are my favorite. They also have bacon cheeseburgers, already for the grill. These are a real hit at a neighborhood cookout. Love the New York strip steaks. Grill these and some vegetables and you will have the ideal summer meal. . So good and so easy to incorporate into recipes. Next, being lazy. I make use of their frozen "take&bake" chickens. These make a quick and easy meal. I have tried all the flavors, but cordon Bleu and Southwest flavors are my go tos. Their take on Chicken Parm is very close to a restaurant version and tasty. Occasionally order the marinated flank steak for company. So helpful to have it pre marinated. If you undercook it slightly, it is very tender. Wonderful selection of seasonings and rubs. On request, i could custom order meat offerings not usually offered. This was helpful, as i had to cook unusual offerings that they could only supply. I love so many items but I think my favorite are the frozen "take&bake" chickens they have! This is a great place for carnivores to feast! Just walk in, and you can smell yourself at the top of the food chain! I made a panoramic photo of all of the many sausage flavors that I would send to my staff to pick their sausages for our Friday summer BBQ lunches on the office patio. Personally, I am very fond of their ribeye and their pork and beef burger mix. But I am frustrated by their 4-star rating. The Covid Karens have messed up the ratings for these awesome folks. If you were wearing a mask and they are behind a 5-foot counter did you think their breathing on your flank steak was going to give you Covid? 3 years later and your sanctimonious outrage continues to damage this business. Maybe now you are a kinder, gentler person and you can go back to your bad review and cut them some slack. read more

This place is great!! I'm m new to the area and was looking for a nearby butcher and found this place. I saw they had a yelp offer for a free pound of ground beef. I was looking for about 1.5lb chuck for a recipe so figured I would stop here. The staff was friendly and efficient and the shop was clean and well presented. The prices here are very reasonable and the quality is great. I love that you can get fresh meat in the quantity you need vs going to the store for a lesser quality and more quantity than you wanted. I think they have a loyalty program because you can fill out your contact info to receive a free lb of ground beef. This is a local company that has been around over 100 years and they seem to have a really great sense of the local community. I will definitely be back here! read more

I have never visited Fischers where I wasn't greeted warmly and given amazing service. Every person I've interacted with was friendly and informative while also offering suggestions on best ways to smoke, cook or grill things I was buying. They have great prices and offer products that are hard to find such as South African boerewors which tastes just like it does back in South Africa. Their selection is amazing and offer more than I've found at a lot of the local places. Fischers is well worth the drive and visit. This is now my primary stop for fresh meats and I refer everyone I know to come here. read more

Cute Shop. My review is based on lack of knowledge on sodium content. They were unable to tell me exactly how many mg of salt was in one chicken sausage link, even though they make it themselves. Everyone kept saying, it's not that much salt. Well, someone like me who has to monitor her salt intake, needs to know exactly how much salt, they think "not that much salt" is... That's a very frustrating answer. It's not information, it's a brush-off answer. They had to ask the prep-guy how much it contained. He poured salt into a container and supposedly weighed it. The amount was said to go into 25 lbs of meat. The lady who was helping us said "It's approximately this much." Then she said it was .34 oz. I looked right at it and that can't be right. It appeared to be at least 1 1/2 to two 8 oz cups. (I have to measure food often for my heart health. I'm not going to deprive myself, but I do keep a record so I can enjoy life.) Well, one tsp of salt is 2,235-2,300 mg of salt. (So let's divide the difference and call it 2,267 mg.) What I saw was more like 72-96 tsp of salt. According to educated eyeballing the amount of sodium we could visibly see for 25 lbs of meat, and 1-lbs being approx 4 sausage links - each mild chicken sausage link contains approximately 1,632-2,176 mg of salt. Almost an entire day's worth of sodium. It is not recommended to eat more than 2300 mg of salt in one day for a person with regular to good health. I suggest this business does a little side work to measure this important piece of information and post its fat and sodium content for people like me with health issues. Knowing this information, I limited myself to half a chicken sausage link on a small salad to be safe. Other than that, it was tasty, but a bit spicier than suggested and it definitely tasted a bit saltier than I was expecting. Knowing this, I'm suggesting the sodium content is closer to the full daily dose of salt of approximately 2,176 mg per link. read more

Great butcher shop on the Eastside! Everything looks so appetizing and fresh. The store is so clean and well kept. Customer service is tops and the staff is so courteous and professional. This visit we bought a rib eye steak and some beef ribs. So flavorful. Would definitely recommend using your meat here. Tip: parking is off the street mostly...but they do have a few parking spots in the rear of the store. Also free parking in the lot across the street behind the stores. read more

I took a drive today and went to Issaquah :-) very quaint cute little town. I took a walk at a park, I had some Mexican food which is next-door to this meat market. I was pleasantly surprised when I walked in. They have many cuts of beef. All very well marbled and fresh. Lots of selections of different sausages which are made there. They also have some other ready to cook items. Stuffed pork chops, chicken Cordon Bleu, etc.I bought some extra large chicken wings that were meaty and delicious. Tried a couple different sausages, andouille being outstanding. I also tried a traditional cheddar cheese banger, which the butcher suggested. Fischer Meats has meat and passion in giant quantities. I never knew this was here, but I go to Issaquah infrequently at best. Figured one sunny Saturday after lunch my friend I wandered the streets and decided to stop in. I was amazed at the selection and layout. It is a very large butcher shop so I never felt pressed in. The whole store was very clean, no weird smells, and the selection was enormous. Beef cuts of all kinds, chicken, lamb, sausage, bacon, jerky, sauces, rubs and more! Soooo much stuff! But what will keep Fischer's in my brain was the one butcher we talked with oozed passion for his employer. He was amazingly informative telling us everything from the history to how they make their bacon and why theirs was the best. There was no ego, no bombastic bragging - this gentleman explained with convincing confidence how they contribute to the community. I was hooked. Now when I think of buying meat I'll forgo the grocery store to make a side trip here. That butcher was amazing and he totally made two customers that day. read more

We've been going to Fisher Meats for many years. Always great service & fresh meats plus sauces & spices for easy preparation ideas. We love the chicken cordon blue- they have other choices but this is our favorite! The chicken & the ham are high quality trimmed up well so you get 0 fat or gristle which isn't the case when we've gotten it at other butchers. When you bake them they get a delicious crispy crust & the center oozing with Swiss cheese- YUM! We also love their meatloaf- a juicy & tasty mix meats & spices. The porter house steaks are amazing as well & with Covid & cooking at home mostly- why not splurge! The jalapeño cheese pepperoni are a delicious snack on your way home- just the right amount of heat. They are so friendly and have such an awesome selection. 2020 has been a rough year for small businesses and I wanted to do my part of supporting as best I could! I'm so glad I decided to get my meat purchases made here because I was able to buy some favorites but also discover some new awesome stuff! They have a large selection of: chicken (stuffed and regular), red meats, sausages, jerky! I love their Chicken Kiev, cheddar burger patties, and man their hot sauce selection! Lots of goodies to choose from. The staff is so awesome! I will be coming weekly to get my meats from here. read more

Great shop with a wide selection of meats. Quality is most certainly a step up from the supermarkets, with the product priced accordingly. I don't mind paying more for quality food, so likely worth the extra costs. One thing that I found off-putting was a 3% surcharge for using a credit card, and this was on an order of nearly $90. Guys - it's the year 2024. Nobody pays with cash anymore, and I rarely see other businesses tacking on this surcharge. If you were a discount shop perhaps that would make sense, but when you're charging top dollar for meat, the extra 3% just feels like a rip off. read more

I am a HUGE beef jerky lover and I was told i needed to check this place out as their jerky is famous! Alright, challenge accepted! I decided to show up just before a friends birthday party at 6 and decided to grab some of this deliciousness. I walked in and it looked like they were about to close so I hastened my decision. This place has a great selection to choose from. Lots of great cuts of meat, chicken and lamb. The right cooler housed all the smoked meats and sausages. I was greeted by someone and he asked what i wanted. I pointed to the house smoked jerky, the jager, and the pepperoni's. He asked how much and i just said "grab a healthy portion!" So he did and he bagged it all up. He was a man of few words as I tried to make conversation...didn't get much of a response so I decided to keep quiet. He handed me the meat and I paid for it and walked out. I did come back a second time, and i purchased the same thing, ended up being served by the same guy. At this point, I felt awkward and uncomfortable. All in all, the meats were delicious, which is why i doubled my order when I came back the second time. I also had another chance to look around the store a bit. They had a beautiful cowboy cut rib eye that I know would have loved to be in my belly and a great selection of odds and ends on the shelves by the window that included seasonings and sauces. There is also a frozen fridge which carried more unique items like ox tail and other items. This place is great and love that it's local, I actually give the meat selection and quality 4 stars...but how awkward I feel going in there makes me give it a 3. The beef jerky was delicious as was the meat sticks! I actually got a few people hooked on them as I was passing them out and advertising where to get them. I have been a long time customer here but sadly will not be going back due to their lack of adherence to the COVID-19 restrictions. On my last visit there were people hanging out and chatting with no mask on. When we asked about the mask mandate the employee told us that it is "up to the customer". This employee wore his mask on his chin for the duration of our transaction even after we politely asked him to wear a mask for our safety. Today gave another try, pepperoni sticks were fresh this time. But I also got their smoked salmon, and it turned out to be expired also! It got weird taste, and smell... The guy tried to get the expiration stickers off and couldn't get them off all the way, I was wondering what taking him so long to grab pieces of salmon from different fridge. Recently tried their beef jerky in all 3 flavors - smokey, pepper and sweet. The BEST beef jerky our family has ever eaten. The smokey was everyone's favorite. Sweet was good too. The pepper was too much pepper for us. We've been back 3 times now to purchase smokey and sweet. Quality of the meat is a high grade, flavor was superb, jerky was not super dry or tough, excellent texture. It needs to kept in the fridge because it doesn't have the massive amounts of preservatives like store brands. I'm drooling while writing this review. I'll be heading to the fridge to get some jerky after I hit "post". read more

Finally found a butcher worthy of a 30 minute drive. Great selection of premium meats at reasonable prices for the quality. Purchased a Cowboy ribeye which is like a tomahawk steak and although it was pricey, it was absolutely delicious. Their chicken thighs are also twice the size of what you get at a regular grocery store and definitely a superior taste. What a difference!! I have to give a big shout-out to Fischer Meats. Last week I purchased Banger sausages and bacon cheeseburgers and they were delicious. Today I picked up two New York Strip steaks and two huge chicken cordon bleu creations. I grilled the steaks and the only way they could have been better would have been if they had been grilled by an expert. I will get to the cordon bleus in the next couple of days. I am certain they will also be of the highest quality. I will also add that everyone there that I have dealt with is a superb professional. This place is terrific. read more

Got a living social and got two things: crab cakes and chicken Kiev. Crab cakes- real crab in there, so for sure amazing! The only thing for me was it was a little too much mayo plus it's expensive ($8.99 per cake), but other than that, loved it. Chicken Kiev- I've never had this in my life, but basically it's a chicken patty that has butter in the middle, so when you bake it in the oven and cut it, the butter overflows to your plate. So. Good. I am still thinking about it right now at 7 in the morning and craving it for breakfast. Service was also amazing- very nice guys that work there. Would recommend. read more

Excellent meat shop in Issaquah. This is the place for lamb chops, steak, and even chopped meat. I have been coming here the past 3 years and love the quality of their beef and service is excellent too! Every Passover I get a lamb shank here for the Seder plate and they give it to me no charge which is so nice! All the men that work here are friendly and so nice. read more
