    Marinated Flank Steak
    Athene D.

I love it here They are really great people with really great product. There's something for all levels of cooks here! I love so many items but I think my favorite are the frozen "take&bake" chickens they have! I have tried all the flavors, but cordon Bleu and Southwest flavors are my absolute favorites with chicken Parm, right behind!!! I absolutely love their marinated flank steak and it never disappoints and always cooks up nicely. It's a large store so even when it's popular there's plenty of space and everything is so nicely laid out. Everything is so organized and There's always a new spice or sauce to try. Check um out if you havnt, because you're missing out!

This place is great!! I'm m new to the area and was looking for a nearby butcher and found this place. I saw they had a yelp offer for a free pound of ground beef. I was looking for about 1.5lb chuck for a recipe so figured I would stop here. The staff was friendly and efficient and the shop was clean and well presented. The prices here are very reasonable and the quality is great. I love that you can get fresh meat in the quantity you need vs going to the store for a lesser quality and more quantity than you wanted. I think they have a loyalty program because you can fill out your contact info to receive a free lb of ground beef. This is a local company that has been around over 100 years and they seem to have a really great sense of the local community. I will definitely be back here!

I took a drive today and went to Issaquah :-) very quaint cute little town. I took a walk at a park, I had some Mexican food which is next-door to this meat market. I was pleasantly surprised when I walked in. They have many cuts of beef. All very well marbled and fresh. Lots of selections of different sausages which are made there. They also have some other ready to cook items. Stuffed pork chops, chicken Cordon Bleu, etc.I bought some extra large chicken wings that were meaty and delicious. Tried a couple different sausages, andouille being outstanding. I also tried a traditional cheddar cheese banger, which the butcher suggested. I will definitely be returning to try out a ribeye , that's my favorite steak and they looked great. ,If you are driving through or live nearby, I strongly suggest you come and enjoy this meat market.

We've been going to Fisher Meats for many years. Always great service & fresh meats plus sauces & spices for easy preparation ideas. We love the chicken cordon blue- they have other choices but this is our favorite! The chicken & the ham are high quality trimmed up well so you get 0 fat or gristle which isn't the case when we've gotten it at other butchers. When you bake them they get a delicious crispy crust & the center oozing with Swiss cheese- YUM! We also love their meatloaf- a juicy & tasty mix meats & spices. The porter house steaks are amazing as well & with Covid & cooking at home mostly- why not splurge! The jalapeño cheese pepperoni are a delicious snack on your way home- just the right amount of heat. They also have the most amazing bratwursts- very lean & tasty- we get them for Seahawks games which we watch at home now. Oh & don't forget to try their bacon- so good! They have a great Groupon too!

    Mmmm Jerky!!

I am a HUGE beef jerky lover and I was told i needed to check this place out as their jerky is famous! Alright, challenge accepted! I decided to show up just before a friends birthday party at 6 and decided to grab some of this deliciousness. I walked in and it looked like they were about to close so I hastened my decision. This place has a great selection to choose from. Lots of great cuts of meat, chicken and lamb. The right cooler housed all the smoked meats and sausages. I was greeted by someone and he asked what i wanted. I pointed to the house smoked jerky, the jager, and the pepperoni's. He asked how much and i just said "grab a healthy portion!" So he did and he bagged it all up. He was a man of few words as I tried to make conversation...didn't get much of a response so I decided to keep quiet. He handed me the meat and I paid for it and walked out. I did come back a second time, and i purchased the same thing, ended up being served by the same guy. At this point, I felt awkward and uncomfortable. All in all, the meats were delicious, which is why i doubled my order when I came back the second time. I also had another chance to look around the store a bit. They had a beautiful cowboy cut rib eye that I know would have loved to be in my belly and a great selection of odds and ends on the shelves by the window that included seasonings and sauces. There is also a frozen fridge which carried more unique items like ox tail and other items. This place is great and love that it's local, I actually give the meat selection and quality 4 stars...but how awkward I feel going in there makes me give it a 3. The beef jerky was delicious as was the meat sticks! I actually got a few people hooked on them as I was passing them out and advertising where to get them. Hopefully I can be served by someone else or at some point, crack the silent guy into saying a few words. lol

I didn't buy anything this visit but will definitely patronize this market in the future. They carry a wide variety of flash frozen seafood, crab, other shell fish and many varieties of fish vacuum packed in individual portions. They also carry a wide variety of Asian dumplings. One wall is stocked with condiments and sauces too. If you are planning on eating "Asian style Hot Pot". This place is a must to stock up on fish balls, squid and shrimp. However,…read moreafter we placed our orders, the space gradually filled with customers which gave us some comfort. The service here was quick, the ambiance casual, and the food is very satisfying! The roast duck was very tender, and the rice and bok choy well cooked and seasoned. The Singapore noodles had a stronger curry flavor than I was used to, and was good. The true surprise was the salted fish chicken with eggplant. I've never had a dish like this before, and the fish smell was a little pungent. However, the taste wasn't fishy at all and had a great umami flavor. The eggplant was also tender and cooked beautifully. This is the type of food that is very comforting and makes me want to eat more even though I'm full! I wish the portions were bigger considering its price point. Of the three dishes, I can only find myself justifying the eggplant to be worth its price because it is so unique. The Singapore noodles and roast duck I believe I can find for a better value elsewhere. Though I won't be a regular customer, this was a nice find with good food!

I read some positive feedback about Famous Kitchen in the past. While I was in Issaquah, I decided…read moreto dine there. The place looked new-ish in a small plaza; several other restaurants are within sight. I yelp-checked every single one of them. All of them hover at about 3.5 stars, plus/minus some. Hmmm. Anyway, I kept the original plans and entered. They have a Chinese BBQ area that was being cleaned for the night, which makes sense. It was nearly 7pm on a Sunday. The menu had mostly ordinary Cantonese varieties with several less common ingredients like fermented bean curd, salted fish, and bitter melon. Always a good sign. When I fished recommendations from the server requesting good 'uncommon' dishes (and I spoke in Cantonese), he still pointed to the 'normal' dish. Fine, I stayed along those lines, too. The food is alright. The prices are at Eastside level. This place is worthy if you don't want to drive out of Issaquah (to Bellevue or CID). If I wasn't in Issaquah, I would not purposely drive here. The Food: Curry Beef Brisket Rice 咖喱牛腩饭, $17.99 - 3.5 Stars Tender-enough beef brisket and daikon cover a massive amount of rice. The curry is thick and pooled just right. The flavor of the curry met expectations. I wish Chinese restaurants understand it is okay to give an appropriate amount of rice instead of a massive amount to avoid waste. House Special Fried Noodle 招牌炒面/粉, $20.99 - 3.5 Stars This noodle dish surprised me that it is closer to 'soy sauce king chow mein' 豉油皇炒麵 that happens to have additional ingredients. Few restaurants serve it this way. Not a good or bad thing per se. The ingredients tend to heavily absorb the soy sauce, and the flavor profile becomes a bit too uniform. On the contrary, some may find this method more flavorful. Salt &Pepper Chicken Wings 脆皮炸鸡翅, $18.99 - 4 Stars These wings ended up being my favorite dish. They have an excellent crispy on the outside, juicy inside. Good flavor, too. They are closer to 3.5 Stars. Nothing in the overall experience stood out to round up the overall rating.

The portions were plentiful for one and really two. The meats are not seasoned or sauced. I was provided two small sauce cups which was nowhere near enough. I would rate both meats as average for bbq. The coleslaw was mostly shredded cabbage with some dressing. Not a creamy dressing like many places but more vinegar based. Again, it was average. The potato salad tasted like everyone else's. I'd guess it was a pre-made and not their own recipe. In all the dinner was fine. Little things like more sauce would have made it better.

I read that she uses fresh, wholesome ingredients.. something I appreciate. So I contacted Gail for a custom order of 1/2 dozen assorted cookies and 1/2 dozen cupcakes. I just asked for just an assortment of what she had fresh that day. I believe the cupcake flavors were chocolate with cake batter frosting, chocolate peanut butter, coconut and possibly lemon or red velvet. As for the cookies, my friend got chocolate chip, snickerdoodle and peanut butter. Gail was so easy to work with through emails. And when she delivered the goodies, my friend wasn't home, but Gail called me for instructions and I gave her the okay to set it on the porch. She even took a picture for me to show that it was delivered. Couldn't really try the cupcakes and cookies, but my friend loved them! She said they really delicious, fresh and moist. Not too much frosting, so that you could get a good bite with all of the flavors. The pie was essentially for my dad. He loves apple desserts. This pie was crumbly, and the apples still had bite. Plenty of cinnamon (he was concerned) and the sauce was sweet. I totally loved that Gail put the directions right on the package. There was no way I could mess this up! She was a total lifesaver, and I am so pleased that I decided to give her a try.
