I was very skeptical at start about this restaurant, especially because it got three star rating…read moreand below from previous reviews and it seems like nobody (at least nobody from yelp) has visited this place recently. Although I have been walking along Vesterbrogade for so many times, somehow this place is invisible to me, only after Linnea R arranged an event to dine here that I discovered this place. I wasn't hungry enough to order the teppanyaki menu so I decided to get the sushi and sashimi menu instead and split a bowl of soba with raw egg with Mina K while the rest of us ordered teppannyaki. Oh well, how sorry I was for not choosing it. The seafood one looked absolutely divine especially when the chef was cooking them in front of us (we were seated by the teppan table). Although the price seemed a bit steep for the menu (420 dkk), you got tons of food for it as I have witnessed from my dining company's meal. You get the starter sushi / sashimi, you get the seafood teppannyaki with rice and miso soup and believe me, there were plenty of food to go around. One thing that pulls one star down from the perfect five was the SLOWNESS of the service. It took forever to get our food (well, the teppanyaki menu was a show of itself) but the sushi took a long time to appear, apparently. Even when we wanted to leave and wanted to get our bill, it took forever as well. This time it was alright because we had great dining company so we didn't mind waiting but we spent what it was like four hours in the restaurant. Sorry, I'd like my food to be faster please. Hungry! *points to stomach*

Hard to find on your own because it is on the first floor. As one of only two places in Denmark this place features a "Teppan yaki" table where the chef prepares your food on a big hot plate in front of you. The "Ume" course is my favorite but even at the regular tables you have a great variety of traditional Japanese dishes to choose from. Yum!!

What a fool I am! In my Studieskolen days, I passed by this place many times but figured it was…read morelike most Japanese-Korean mix establishments: BAD! However I was pleasantly surprised and now I know where to get my Korean fix in Copenhagen when I'm feeling homesick. Since it was a very cold day, I wanted something hot and comforting. The Samgyetang menu (310 dkk) appealed to me especially since it comes with small sides (banchan). Normally this soup is eaten in the summer, but I think it also goes over well on these winter evenings. Our server brought out a whole cornish hen sizzling in the stone pot on a wooden trivet with salt and pepper on the side. Spot-on presentation! However there was no ginger or glutinous rice inside the chicken, much less jujube or ginseng. Although chicken is the star of this dish, the rice and herbs play a huge role. This was very disappointing, even though the meat was cooked perfectly and falling off the bone. Before we were served the main (Korean) dishes, we received a little Japanese appetizers. One was a spinach salad (ohitashi) and a shrimp salad with bean thread (ebi sunomono). These were very nice and refreshing but of course I would have preferred a Korean starter. Soon after came gyoza/mandu, which was good. Right before the mains came out we got the banchan, and so prettily arranged! There was seafood pancake (haemul pajeon), carrot kinpira, kimchi, potato pancake (gamjajeon), and seaweed salad. The kinpira was a bit out of place, I think beansprouts would have fit in better. Though they were a little oily, the pancakes were good. Now the kimchi was excellent! I can say this with confidence since I am Korean, I've been brought up eating kimchi, and I do make my own. You can even buy it by the kilo here. Good to know. At the end of the meal we got a scoop of sickly-sweet strawberry ice cream and a pretty but not very tasty strawberry for dessert. I would have preferred green tea ice cream or even some seasonal fruit, the latter being more common in Korean cuisine. Since it is winter I would have been ok with no dessert and just a cup of ginseng tea instead. Although the missing ingredients in the samgyetang made me feel cheated, the banchan was mostly good and so was the service. I look forward to trying more authentic Korean dishes here.

I always see people in this place but surprised that nobody has written a review here. this place is pretty new I think, opened a month or two only? I live a block away from this place and after reading their articles, I decided to try it out since I have strong sushi crave. Nigiri: Salmon: This is pretty good, but it isn't fat, so it does not melt in your mouth. NY salmon: It is just putting a slice of garlic on it, it taste pretty gross, ew Grilled Salmon: This is okay, but I expect it to be out when it comes to my table, and it isnt. If you're in Asia, normally you will get hot seared fish nigiri. So I think they fail, but they can improve by making them last. Tuna: Average Tuna, not special Yellowtail:Average California roll: Meh Herbal Shrimp: Normal, not a fan of shrimp Sunset roll: I'll like it better if the grilled salmon on top is hot and less breadcrumbs on the shrimp, the hot sauce adds flavor in it which is nice Red dragon: really normal Miso: warm and comfy Pork skewer: It was cold when I had them, which is pretty disappointing. I would give them a 3.5 or three stars, but this is their first review and I dont want to demolish their yelp reviews yet. I hope there are more people to review this place to justify them:)

She tried to put some lemon in it but some sugar prob would have worked. The ramen I had was excellent. Though a little too salty. All the ingredients were very tasty. For me, this is like 3 meals in one sitting., I ate as much as I could, but I asked the waitress if I could have a container to bring the rest home. I wouldn't think this should be a problem to take your leftover food that you paid for with you, and open up a seat for someone in queue waiting to come in to get a meal. She said she had to ask the chef if I can take a container, and then she asked the chef right in front of me. He looked right at me blankly, and told her no after looking at me. I have to say that was not very nice service. To look right at my face and decide that I'm not to bring my leftovers with me., and just waste all of it. While I can see a stack of leftover containers in the kitchen right from my seat. That was just a shame because more than half of my food was left over. I have a small stomach and I can't eat all this one sitting! Wish I could! I thought I would just eat the rest of it later in the evening. But the chef said no container for you. I tried to eat a little more of it but had to leave a lot of it behind. How wasteful! That really bummed me out when he said no, as I tried to force a few more bites. I wanted to thank him for the meal because it was so delicious, but I was so irritated at that point every time I look at him. To me that was a big strike even if your food is good. I don't think I would go back there again. The waitress was friendly though. I do understand why you don't allow takeout since the art of the bowl would be compromised while walking or biking, I do think when someone has more than half of their food left over you could be gracious to give them a container to put it in. So that was really wasteful and I don't think I would come back here again but if you're very hungry and you can eat a lot of food get there early so you can get a seat otherwise it's a 40 minute wait outside in line on the street, and a very small location with no bathroom. The food was very good. The chef's rude temperment and the leftover container policy needs work.
