This place is a dump! Disorganized dirty and no prices on anything. Not into sorting mountains of junk to find what I need.

Problem was that I could never find an excuse to go that far up into Brampton. All that changed this past week when I had the opportunity to cover the grand opening of a business that literally opened next door to this store, so I had no reason not to stop by when I was in the area. This isn't a speck on the stores in Mississauga. While it looks nice from the outside, the interior is full of the same picked-over merchandise and dumpy-looking presentation that seems to haunt many of the branches. That would be fine if you could find a good selection, but the place seems oddly-empty from a stocking standpoint. Even with that said, I could forgive that if they had a good selection of books. What I can't forgive is the genius that decided to write the letter "A" on the front-facing end page of EVERY. SINGLE. BOOK. Seriously, you want me to pay $6 or more for a second-hand book and you don't even have the decency to not mark up the pages? What kind of chucklehead do they have working in the back there? Tell them to stop this nonsense right this instant! This is the only Value Village (or for that matter, thrift store) I've gone to in Ontario that does this. This location isn't worth driving out of the way for. You'd have better luck at other VV branches.

In three visits here, I have bought one single sweater. The same review will go to all three…read morelocations I have been to so far. What I regularly see in all of these stores (Mississauga about 10 visits, Whitby one visit) are with rare exceptions noname brands/ripped tags, some super vintage stuff and then loads of George, Ardene, Old Navy, ancient (8-10y old stuff) H&M and Zara, Reitmanns, Le Chateau, Bluenotes, Streetwear society, Urban Planet/Heritage... same repertoire I regularly see at Salvation Army stores. Racks are sometimes so cramped that you just skip all the colour coded (not a fan!!!) black sections bc its a pain in the a$$ to check out every black item! coming from a person whose 50% wardrobe is black. I think people donate best stuff to Value villages bc they get best rewards and use them to get good merch which can be found at vv, my every visit confirms it. Other than that, Talize locations are rather clean and organized and staff is friendly. Too bad donations are what they are or I'd love to shop here. also men get slightly better stuff bc men don't care for thrifting (except those in need) or getting vv rewards to look for treasures so men will just donate what they want to get rid of so it depends on luck whether you'll find a good mens item at Talize.

300 post!! It deserves to be about something I'm very passionate about. Salvation Army is my go to…read morefor goods donations. I love their ideology which is creating an organization to meet the needs of all humans without discrimination. They happily accept accessories, antiques, collectibles, clothing, electronics, computers, housewares, media and books, seasonal items, textiles and toys. There are a few things they do not accept due to sanitary reasons and I suggest if you're not too sure always visit their website to check before heading there. I'm a firm believer in decluttering off and on-I really don't set a specific time of the year to do that I just do it whenever I feel the need. And that gently used goods will make a difference to someone's life tomorrow just gives me a sense of joy. I highly recommend that you check all the donations well before handing them over. For clothing I generally check if there any rips or broken buttons. And for toys I generally check the condition and if they are working properly. These are my two mains. They drop off is pretty Convenient. You just go behind the store and you can leave at their back door. As the world has become more conscious and preloved stuff is becoming more and more common. I love buying silver silverware and crockery from here. I have bought some gorgeous antique silverware from here and some beautiful bone china crockery for a fraction of cost. This location has plenty of parking in front of it. The staff is friendly. Not sure about exchanges but it's best to ask before buying. This location is fairly clean.

Workers were hit and miss. Most of the team members seemed friendly while a couple of the Supervisors just blatantly ignored me as I stood aside, waiting to ask a question, while they chatted about the schedule. Completely oblivious. What was somewhat disturbing is that I heard dumping/smashing of donations for at least 5-10 minutes straight from the Production room. If I had just dropped off dishes, ceramics, & other fragile donations, I would be quite alarmed. Whomever was handling the donations definitely wasn't doing it with kid gloves on! She/he was literally dumping donations from one container to another and smashing them. It sounded like a Rage Room! I found this extremely disrespectful to the people who donated these items. Absolutely terrible.
