I went in for a handpick for my online business. The selection was ok. There were a lot of really…read moredirty and damaged items in the handpick section, which was less than ideal. They were not forthcoming with their pricing, and didn't give me a straight answer when I asked. As a result I felt ripped off when it came time to pay, as it was much more than I expected/had budgeted. The prices were more or less the same as buying from retail thrift stores (and more expensive in some cases), but I had to do all the work. Overall not worth it. Won't be using this business again.

In terms of a smaller thrift store, this one rates pretty high in my books! There's definitely a…read moresense of a community here as opposed to a bunch of resellers taking all the "good stuff". I'm not here often, but I tend to stop by after vet visits as it's in the same plaza. Obviously, it's a hit or miss like any other thrift store, but I've found some treasures! Due to the area, it's never really that busy and to give you an idea of what their donations are like, their customers are usually seniors. Since it's relatively low-traffic, store is very clean. The most "mess" that I've seen are overstocked racks, but that's about it. Prices aren't cheap-cheap, but I find them a bit more reasonable than VV which is pretty costly now. The fact that they don't charge tax sorta makes up for it. According to their PA announcement, "Everyday is Senior's Day", so which means some kinda discount...I'm not sure what that is, but if that applies to you, it might be worth checking out! P.S. Salvation Army DOESN'T charge tax which is a bonus! P.P.S. I almost didn't want to write a review for this place 'cause I don't want it ransacked. ;)

They have a good selection of jeans that look like they've never been worn and really nice jewelry. I found a bunch of jean styles that I loved and a really cool L.A.M.B. jacket but none of it fit well :( I did pick up a super cute black and white heart print blouse and a gold spikey bangle bracelet. Having never heard of this store before, I was a little skeptical about placing an online order…read morewith this store for shipping to Calgary. My order was for a stand mixer that was out of stock Canada wide except at this store. Before placing the order I had some questions about the product/model so I called customer service line to ask some questions. Leanne from customer service helped answer all my questions and was very knowledgable about the particular mixer I was asking about. After I got off the phone with customer service I went ahead and placed my order online. An hour later customer service left me a voicemail asking me to call in to verify my identity and credit card information prior to order shipment. So I called back and Leanne answered again and mentioned that this is their standard policy for relatively large purchases like the one I was making and it is for my protection, again much appreciated and personable customer service. Leanne promised to personally follow up on my order to make sure it gets shipped out promptly. The order got shipped out before the end of the day. It shipped via Canada post and arrived in approx. 1.5 weeks. Received the product and found everything in the package as promised. The box was in pretty good condition and didn't appear to have been mishandled or abused at the warehouse or during shipping. The unit was brand new and looked better than the same unit that I bought and returned to Sears because it appeared to have been opened. They even left a thank you note in the box which again was very personable and nice to see. Overall my experience with this store and customer service has been very pleasant. I wouldn't hesitate to place another online order with this store in the future.
