Un-Fu*king real how bad customer service is when there is no competition. I called to request an explanation regarding back to back billing increases and had guy with a deep drawl slowly man-splaining the same line that repeatedly ignored my billing question of back-back increases. His frustration and mine (I repeated his under his breath "oh my God" exasperation) saying "oh my God is right" and he denied it saying "I didn't say anything" when I heard it clear as day. I requested a different agent as we weren't getting anywhere (I've trained bricks like this) and he put me on hold, then popped on to assure me he was still there. I began some work while on hold and a recording came on at 3:27pm stating the office was closed (I can understand drivers being off at 3:30, but support staff clocking out that early, when people are still at work?) and to call back during business hours. An option to leave a message was played, but the system hung up before a message could be left. Why am I not surprised? So for wasting 27 minutes I got zero answers, but an endless loop of discussion with the Townie (Waterboy) and a holding period that timed out on me. I'd say it's "par for the course." If you expect to be disappointed, you'll always hit the mark. The drivers are awesome, pickup is always on time. Customer Support Sucks about as bad as humanly possible. read more

Waste Management has a very low review rating for good reason. I put my garbage container out across the street directly across from my house with no other house to be confused with. They purposely skipped my garbage because it was not on my side of the street and would not come back. read more

Absolute GARBAGE service. They are constantly not emptying my trash cans or my recycle bins, they leave everyone trash cans literally thrown all over the street. One of the guys got mad about something and broke my recycle bin into pieces by throwing it on the ground and stomping on it. It took them two months to get me a replacement! These guys leave trash that didn't make their "successful dump" into the truck strewn all over the street like they are glued to their seat. We pay for a service, not to pick up after them! Back in the day we had folks that cared and would get out of the truck if something was missed. read more

A pick up left the bin half full and spilled garbage on the street. Using the phone book phone number, the automated function would not recognize my address and the function dumped me off multiple times. Finally getting through to the office using the phone number off the internet ( a real person), the option offered was an additional billing, which appeared to be a double billing. read more

Worst customer service and the app is garbage literally. I wish we had the choice of using Basin Disposal.

Customer service is the worst. Hold times on the phone are extremely long, 30-45 minutes. Not sure how WM gets away with mistreating their customers. read more

From Olalla, Washington and from Port Orchard, Wa:" This is what happens when there are no alternatives. They constantly miss pick ups of trash, let alone recyclables. When you call to complain, you get a rude employee that tells you you have to wait until your next pick up. In spite of it being they who didn't do their job. It got so bad during and after the pandemic that the county sued them for not picking up garbage for weeks at a time. Shocking to see how a civilized, 1st world country allows trash to collect in its communities because of a company's monopoly. This goes beyond this company's abuse. It speaks for a government that no longer cares to make this a safe, clean country to live in, regardless of its citizens paying for the service. Worst costumer service I have ever dealt with. They are the big fish and throw there weight around like it. If there was someone else to chose I would in a heart beat. I'm regretting moving to Kennewick. We have been trying for three weeks to get WM to come out and repair a wheel on our garbage container here in Kennewick. They have scheduled and failed to show up on multiple occasions, with no phone call or anything. Maybe if I just take my trash down to the office and toss it out on their lawn it would help resolve the issue. Just poor management. read more

so nice to have no choices for garbage service. because if there was, waste management would no doubt be out of business. this year they informed me when i was taking a small load of yard debris - spring cleaning material - grass clippings, weeds, no concrete or anything hazardous - same as every year, that I had used all my dump passes for the year. huh. After a lifetime of having passes left over at the end of the year, I was asked to pay $80 to dump my clippings. When I said there must be some mistake the person in the weight shack said that was impossible and I could pay for it or get out of the way. So I shelled out the money because where else am I going to go? This is my elderly moms account. I decided I would call and find out what was going on. When I did call the same lovely and most concerned lady told me that anything over a level pickup load would be counted as two passes. We we have a small ford ranger and you might be able to see the bags in the pickup but it would be impossible for a large bag to be level. Not only that we were never even informed of this new "rule" which essentially makes each trip to the dump now two. So what I have to say is this: You are greedy and taking advantage of the elderly waste management. I hope other people feel the same! read more
