They broke an item that was a gift to me from 1999 Michael Angelo statue told me I should of had it in a box though they carried it as is to the truck. When the unloaded it it had several chips and cracks. After they unloaded he says I should of had it in a box. Even though they had a ton of blankets and elastic ties to move it. It was over 800 dollars but only sent me 300 to replace it. I would keep looking and would not recommend them for any moving of my things again. Antique dressers and tables were scratched as well. I was told that Bekins is not a broker, which was the primary reason I agreed to use them. In fact, the driver was with Wheaton and that's who charged me. My belongings were kept in a storage unit for over a week before a driver was assigned. I could have spent $800 less and had the same or potentially better service. I made a move 1 year ago from San Antonio to Kennewick, and it took less time to get my stuff there, and they showed the same amount of care (Allied). Further, Ken had also recommended a car transport company that wasn't a a broker, supposedly, so I went with them only to find out that they were. Overall. I spent more than $1000 extra trying to avoid brokers, and I got broker anyway. I feel cheated and ripped off. After delivery, I also noticed that my dryer was dented, and the crew avoided showing me by placing a box on top to disguise it. They didn't shrink wrap my accent chair, which is now absolutely filthy and covered in dirty finger prints. My headboard broke as well as both laundry baskets. They also told me that they would disassemble and reassemble all appliances and furniture, but upon delivery, they would not reconnect my washer/dryer due to liability issues, leaving me to figure it out myself. The most disgusting part is that a crew member asked to use my bathroom, had a bowel movement, and didn't clean up after himself leaving me to wipe up the stains in my toilet. I was forced to make a long move while 5 months pregnant in the middle of a pandemic as I lost my job due to Covid, and Bekins took advantage of me. Save your money. All moving companies are the same. Go with the cheaper one. read more

They came and picked up the furniture and boxes- late, and some of the boxes I never saw again. The furniture arrived damaged and some of it irrepgarable. There was always pressure on ME to hurry , hurry, like not check off inventory as it came off the truck- they had to hurry to another customer. No reimbursement for all the items lost, little reinbursement for repairs. NEVER, NEVER again. read more

When I started looking for moving companies, the main thing that I wanted, was for someone to come to my house and give me an estimate. All the companies I called wanted to send me an inventory list that I could fill out on my own. Bekins was the only company that would do an in house estimate. If i could give them less than one star i would. My end price was over $1000.00 over my quote. They get around lowballing a quote by saying they can't give ypu an exact amount until its loaded and weighted. When it was delivered. I was missing a family heirloom ( a pendant that belonged to my deceased wife and cannot be replaced). Bekins refushes any responseabilty whatsoever. Saying i agreeded to remove all valuables ( which i did agree to) but that doesnt give them ljustifcation to steal it. They have comeoletely denined any involment. All i know was it was there when i left to move and it was gone when i went to retrive it. In my opinion under no circumstace use them for a move. I would think if i was a business especially a moving company) that was employing a THIEF i would want to know about it. All Benkins did is DENEY. DENEY DENEY. They could care less. In my opinion DONT USE THEM they have absolutley NO business ethics. read more
