I've been a Loveland customer in Loveland for 10 years. Reaching Waste Management customer service is all but impossible. About 6 weeks ago I phoned in to leave a compliment for the trash pickup driver---He personally picked up some of the trash that had just blown around when the wind tipped my container over minutes before he arrived. Yesterday was the final straw. I was on hold for 58 minutes (while multi-tasking) with ZERO response. For the last 10 minutes I tried to use the website to deal with my issue. BOTH the directions for how to "adjust" my service and for how to start a "chat" (hate those robotic things!!!) were inaccurate. NO WAY TO GET HELP FROM A HUMAN BEING and no local phone number to be found anywhere. The actual service I've received on my street is four stars overall. Email communication has also been fine. But not being able to reach a living, breathing human in less than 15 minutes is not okay--ZERO stars!. I am searching for a new company for trash and recycling pickups. read more

Not only will they NOT help you, but they'll lead you into a scam when you try to get assistance. Absolute worst company I've ever dealt with. I went through the online process to cancel my service, because my business was moving locations. I received a confiramation within 1 day that the request was approved. Yet 2 months later I'm still being billed and services are still being scheduled. Chatted with the online "Live Chat" multiple times, and was just stuck in a loop with no answers. Looked up a customer service number. Google AI gave me a number that led to a scam call center. The person said they're from Waste Managements and only asked for my full credit card information over and over. I've finally connected with a customer service phone number, where I've been passed around to 4 people. Somehow NONE of them have the authority to cancel my service. I've spent hours trying to cancel a service I no longer need, after going through their step-by-step online system. Do not work with this company, there are so many better ones out there. read more

As others have said, even though you sign a contract, they don't care. Price increases are off the charts. They just charge whatever they want. They don't understand their own price increase rules within the contract. There is no way to possibly manage a budget with them. Also, there are many roadblocks and specific steps to stop autorenewal and cancel. I've been with them a long time and plan on switching vendors as soon as i can. I have no issues with the trash pick up - it is all related to pricing that escalates nearly 30% each year. read more

At least monthly, at a minimum, Waste Management misses or intentionally skips trash service pick up. Even though I called earlier today, I was told I would have trash pickup today. As of now, at 6:29 PM, my full trash can is still sitting at the curb. read more

Horrible, this is why they don't have a google profile. Over 4 hrs on hold for account issues. Not acceptable. Canceling when someone answers!!!!! This would be a below zero star which is not available. Go with another company. read more

If I could give them a 0 I would. I live in Apopka. We called the County and they said they would come back and get the garbage they left on the road. This was a lie. read more

I'm done with this company. Continuous overage 'charges'. Dumpster is clearly fine but they want to keep playing games. You guys whole heartedly deserve this. You can come pick up your dumpsters whenever you'd like. I shouldn't have to even think about a trash company. read more

only one star because you cannot leave zero. avoid this company. I have been a customer for decades with a dumpster, they just stopped picking up trash, no reason. I have a new company and waste management will not pick up their own dumpster. they claim it takes 30 days to cancel your account. they claim it takes 4 days to get a manager to call you back. yes they actually speak those words to customers and act as though it is normal!! read more

We have two EXCELLENT drivers for Waste Management. Both, Travis and Dwight, are the BEST around. Truth be told, they deserve a nice, big fat RAISE!! They have ALWAYS been helpful to me with the garbage here on the property. I wish there were more like them. read more

waste management is the worst company in the world from a customer's prespective. they dont honor their contracts with customers, increase prices whenever they feel like it, dont let you cancel your contracts, and charge 2-3x more than other trash companies in the area for the same exact service. i have them for two business accounts with the same services and i pay 500 per month at one location and 2x that at antoher location and they cant do anything beacsue im under contaract. but, they keep increaseing my monthly charges. horrible compnay stay 5 miles away at all costs. read more

I am impressed and depressed with Waste Management. They do a terrific job always! That's the impressed side of this review. On the other hand, they have enabled some people to not recycle and are rewarded each week by taking their garbage away even when it's in the recycling bin. That's especially sad with Earth Day happening this past week. No example for our young people. Overall, I guess I'm happy they took it. Imagine looking out your front door and seeing that (see picture). read more

Waste Management - This is how it looks from my front door. Imagine seeing this from Tuesday until Friday pickup day. - Junk Removal & Hauling Near Me - Downers Grove, Illinois

Will from Waste Management went above and beyond the entire process, he is an extreme asset to this company. I have severe disabilities and no income making cleanup of my trash can difficult. He worked on the phone with me to come up with the best suitable solution, even offering on HIS own time to come clean my can, bless him, I would not allow that, but it shows his TRUE character. They are lucky to have this young man. Thank You Waste Management for helping me. read more

Fantastic service from start to finish! Highly recommend to anyone in need of hiring a dumpster for quick and easy disposal of any garbage.

Waste Management is the absolute worst garbage company. They will make any excuse not to pick up your yard trash and/or regular trash. They're very sloppy & drop trash on the ground then drive off leaving it in the road or driveway. I wish my community would get a different garbage company. We had the company worth the brown garbage trucks for a while & they were great. Would not recommend Waste Management at all. read more

This company, like so many others are undependable. I just canceled my service due to lack of communication and dependability of trash pick up. When I called to cancel Britney was rude and argumentative. I will never use them again. Defiantly would not reccomend. read more

I've been trying to get a container for years because the trash men keep breaking my trashcan and throwing my lids away. I keep being told that they aren't available in my area. However every single one of my neighbors on both sides has containers. I have called half a dozen times about this And get the same answer every time even though I explained to them that my neighbors have containers. Every time I try to use the chat feature I get disconnected. I am going to cancel my waste management service as there is absolutely no customer service within this company. read more

In past years I've always found Waste Management easy to contact and resolve any questions/problems with. in the last 2 years it has made a complete change. I have waited and waited on the phone for a customer service person to help, then was hung up on. As I write this, i've been on hold for 1 hour and 16 minutes .... what is going on? I just want to stop my vacation hold, which I'm unable to do online. The Service has been fine - just hope you don't need any customer service. read more

I was a customer for years until I found out their competitors were 1/5 the cost. WM price gouged me years and then kept hitting me with unfounded late fees after terminating my service. Lesson learned, always shop for better pricing and service. read more

I have had this company for several years and the last couple of months theyve barely done any picking up of my trash. Theyve missed days, pick up partial load and made many mistakes with my account. Then they make excuses for their workers and blame me. Their workers calling off is not problem! They made a mistake on the number of trash cans and blamed me. This is extremely poor customer service and when I called them out they refused to rectify it, telling me to find another company when this was their mistakes and Ive been paying for service. I dont generally leave reviews but felt this was necessary because this is a necessary essential service read more

Up until July, I hadn't had a problem with garbage pickup. In July though, waste Mgmt missed my pickup 4 times! I called in and complained and they credited my account for the missed pickups but they gave no explanation as to why my garbage was missed. Now Friday, they missed my pick up again. It is impossible to get someone on the phone. It's like they don't want to talk to you! When I saw all the bad reviews and their response, all they could say is "I'm sorry"! They have this new device now that picks up the container and that's great except they just don't show up! Why? What's the reason? If I had a phone number, maybe I could find out. Saying sorry isn't good enough. I will change service!! read more

I don't write reviews ever. This was the single worst service experience I have ever had. They delivered the container I ordered to the wrong home on a Friday evening. I tried to call and they do not have anyone answer the phone all weekend. I had to wait until Monday morning to speak with someone. They then refused to give me any type of refund for the days that I lost with the container. This was the single worst customer service experience I have ever had in my life. When you make a mistake you need to fix it. I will never in my life use or recommend this company to anyone for any reason. read more

Waste Management has a new policy that their only picking up trash that's in the green waste management bin, however there was no notification of that policy that supposedly went into effect Dec 4, 2023 in Byram. I doubt that there was any notification sent out because everyone house in Eagles Nest neighborhood still has garbage in front of their homes! I thought we pay a monthly garbage fee for ALL TRASH, not just half the trash! They stated that the NEW TRUCK will only pick up the green bin, but there was no new truck and there was two men as usual picking up the bins and dumping them in the truck! My camera picked up everything and I have the recording to upload if I need to do so! So let me contact all the news stations and BBB to file a complaint! The date of this complaint is inaccurate! I made this complaint 12/8/2023 the day that trash was picked up in the Eagles Nest subdivision in Byram, MS! read more

We live in Prescott, AZ. Our trash service was Patriot Disposal. Waste Management acquired Patriot Disposal in June. What a disaster! First, we heard about the acquisition via word of mouth, not via a mailing they claimed was sent out. None of the neighbors we talked to received a card. Pick up of our trash stopped. After several calls, we did get someone to come out and pick up the trash once. On that same call we were told that the trash would be picked up on our next regular pick up day. Guess what? No pickup, yet we saw their trucks in the neighborhood that very day. The customer service people, although polite, are completely clueless as to what's going on. There is a serious problem with Waste Management. The good news is....it won't be our problem in the future. We cancelled their service. read more

Can't even pick up my trash after calling 4 times. They missed a pickup and marked as collected. Now I have trash piled up in my garage with maggots. The following week I put the bags out there and left a nice note that asked them to please take the trash bags since they didn't collect my trash the previous week. They emptied the container but didn't take the bags. So the cycle starts all over again. My garage stinks so bad because we have to put the trash bags there since our garbage can is full. If you can't even pick my trash after it was marked collected then how can you work for a sustainable tomorrow? You can't! read more

This is specifically for the Poughkeepsie, NY location... I have never dealt with people that are so nonchalant at being unprofessional and incompetent. They wear the incompetency and unprofessionalism like a badge of honor. They never schedule removals or drop offs correctly, they come when they feel like it, they do not escalate matters to managers, and when they screw up they become unresponsive. If I knew all of their names I would drop them here. read more

Waste Management WM. They are the worst in regards to absorbitant unnecessary charges. Dumpsters were moved around Oct 14th. Property sold Oct 7th. WM was informed early September. Absolutly terrible service and customer support. Have had them for a while and have any issue almost every month. Horrible company.

Waste Management is a company that is OVER CHARGING for their service here in the Chicago Region. For the identical service of 1 pick up a week of a 1.5 cu yd container they are charging 5x what a local and very reputable waste hauler is charging. Also don't expect any accommodation from them unless you spend the time getting quotes and going after them at contract time. One last thing after 15 years of using them I became way to comfortable with them and that was a mistake. read more

After over 20 years as a customer I had to change companies because Waste Management changed their policy and no longer picks up anything that is not in the bin. This morning at 8:33am, I saw the recycle truck pull up to throw away my recyclables. Two gentlemen were working. I didn't get their names, but they were extremely professional. I had a few questions in regards to possible recyclable materials that were ready to go out, but no properly contained. They instructed me on what to do and even provided locations for drop-off. I'm sure that people working in the waste department don't get the recognition they deserve, so I wanted to highlight the professionalism these gentlemen displayed. Customer service is at an all-time low, but these guys were on their A-Game. read more

I purchased a apartment building and the previous owner used WM, it took me 3 days for someone to return my call. Someone finally called me and I requested a quote. She emailed saying she gave me a quote on the phone. I had her email address. I told her I was not going to use WM and was told that I had to stay with them or pay a fee to get out of the contract, all that is not true. I emailed her asking for a direct phone number so I could speak to her, she told me she has one, but didn't want to give it out. But she could call me, but I didn't want to give out my number. Called him 3 weeks later and he picked up phone and spoke to me. That is how you run a business!!! read more

They do the bare minimum by picking up the trash most of the time. Trying to get someone on the phone is like cracking a state secret. When you do, the agents are of minimal help and not exactly truthful. When our trash container was missed, the reason given was that my container wasn't on the curb. Wrong. Same for my neighbor whose trash is still sitting in front of their house as well. Instead of immediately accommodating their customers, we get the third degree about the incident. This is noon of day two of not having the trash picked up and it's been 100 degrees outside for both those days. Do I really want to haul it back into my garage?? It's also pretty bad when they don't want to hear from their customers. Their customer service phone number is not accessible from the "customer service" link. Once accessed by a Google search, the voice mail tree tries to direct the customer back to the web site. It's necessary to repeat "Agent" multiple times to get to a human and get ready to be on hold. Apparently, they also do not allow their drivers to exit the truck. Minimal service for the money! They are a perfect example of why no community should have only one waste pickup company and no competition! Fortunately, there are a couple of other companies in my area and we're seriously considering checking them out. read more

Bagster Review... I received a call from the driver. I answered and repeatedly said hello. I could hear background noise but no response and driver hung up. I immediately called the number that dialed me. It routed to the company. I spoke to a lady that immediately stated the driver did not see the bag. I said, my wife is home. Why didn't the driver ring the bell? She said drivers are busy with many stops and don't do that. I was around the corner less than a minute away so then stated that the bag was in the driveway towards the back of the house. She then looked up my house on Google and asked if a tree is still near my driveway cause that is probably why the driver left since the truck won't fit. I responded that the tree is there but that it was trimmed and meets the requirements. She then asked if my driveway was a single car driveway. I said yes, she then said, oh the driveway needs to fit 2 cars, and we don't want to damage the neighbors grass. She said this is why, our website and instructions are very clear. In the end I was charged $70. I reviewed the bagster website. It clearly states that driveway must be 12 feet wide. There is no mention that the driveway must be 2 cars wide. Plus the grass on both sides of the driveway is my property. It also states that there must be 18 feet height clearance and I confirmed that. It also states that the bag can be in the bag in rear of the driveway with a waiver on the bag. I then received a email that my pickup was cancelled because the bag was not out. read more

I work for an HOA Management company with around 30 communities, and I absolutely dread every time I have to call Waste Management. Their automated phone system is one of the worst I've ever had the privilege of using, and that's coming from a former phone support employee. The phone bot will run you in loops over and over again and then end the call without having ever gotten you to a representative. After 4+ months of contacting WM I have yet to have a single call that I didn't have to wait on hold for at least 30 minutes before I finally got to speak with someone. I have been attempting to get a recycling bin for a homeowner within an HOA serviced by WM and it has taken over 2 months with still no sign of a bin. I've spoken to 3 different representatives that all said "no problem we will have one delivered within the week" and that still has not happened. Of all of the companies I have to contact, Waste Management is by far the worst one I've dealt with. Please WM, make yourself accessible to your customers. read more

We were affected by hurricane Helene. I knew that service would be interrupted because of the storm. However, when I called the company on Monday, and waited on hold for over an hour to find out when we would finally get our trash collected, since they were 5 days past due, they assured me that we would be FIRST on their route. What a lie! Service collection started back in our town on Tuesday, and they are not picking up our trash until Friday! Extremely disappointed in their response! We received no communication at all from them!! No emails or texts!! read more

If there was a negative star option I would have selected that. Their prices are 4x times the price of other local trash companies. I have been trying to cancel my service with them for months now. They keep calling me to get me to pay the bill, which I do not owe because they bill ahead, and have spent hours on the phone on hold. I pick the option for a call back when an agent is available and they never call me back. I answer the calls when they call me but it is just an automated message and not an actual person. I tried to chat with the online agent who told me they couldn't cancel my service that way and could not have an agent call me right then to do it over the phone. I have no idea how to actually get someone on the phone and cancel service with this awful company. read more
