I've been a Loveland customer in Loveland for 10 years. Reaching Waste Management customer service is all but impossible. About 6 weeks ago I phoned in to leave a compliment for the trash pickup driver---He personally picked up some of the trash that had just blown around when the wind tipped my container over minutes before he arrived. Yesterday was the final straw. I was on hold for 58 minutes (while multi-tasking) with ZERO response. For the last 10 minutes I tried to use the website to deal with my issue. BOTH the directions for how to "adjust" my service and for how to start a "chat" (hate those robotic things!!!) were inaccurate. NO WAY TO GET HELP FROM A HUMAN BEING and no local phone number to be found anywhere. The actual service I've received on my street is four stars overall. Email communication has also been fine. But not being able to reach a living, breathing human in less than 15 minutes is not okay--ZERO stars!. I am searching for a new company for trash and recycling pickups. read more

At least monthly, at a minimum, Waste Management misses or intentionally skips trash service pick up. Even though I called earlier today, I was told I would have trash pickup today. As of now, at 6:29 PM, my full trash can is still sitting at the curb. read more

waste management is the worst company in the world from a customer's prespective. they dont honor their contracts with customers, increase prices whenever they feel like it, dont let you cancel your contracts, and charge 2-3x more than other trash companies in the area for the same exact service. i have them for two business accounts with the same services and i pay 500 per month at one location and 2x that at antoher location and they cant do anything beacsue im under contaract. but, they keep increaseing my monthly charges. horrible compnay stay 5 miles away at all costs. read more

We have two EXCELLENT drivers for Waste Management. Both, Travis and Dwight, are the BEST around. Truth be told, they deserve a nice, big fat RAISE!! They have ALWAYS been helpful to me with the garbage here on the property. I wish there were more like them. read more

Will from Waste Management went above and beyond the entire process, he is an extreme asset to this company. I have severe disabilities and no income making cleanup of my trash can difficult. He worked on the phone with me to come up with the best suitable solution, even offering on HIS own time to come clean my can, bless him, I would not allow that, but it shows his TRUE character. I am impressed and depressed with Waste Management. They do a terrific job always! That's the impressed side of this review. On the other hand, they have enabled some people to not recycle and are rewarded each week by taking their garbage away even when it's in the recycling bin. That's especially sad with Earth Day happening this past week. No example for our young people. Overall, I guess I'm happy they took it. I've been trying to get a container for years because the trash men keep breaking my trashcan and throwing my lids away. I keep being told that they aren't available in my area. However every single one of my neighbors on both sides has containers. I have called half a dozen times about this And get the same answer every time even though I explained to them that my neighbors have containers. Waste Management is the absolute worst garbage company. They will make any excuse not to pick up your yard trash and/or regular trash. They're very sloppy & drop trash on the ground then drive off leaving it in the road or driveway. I wish my community would get a different garbage company. I have had this company for several years and the last couple of months theyve barely done any picking up of my trash. Theyve missed days, pick up partial load and made many mistakes with my account. Then they make excuses for their workers and blame me. Their workers calling off is not problem! They made a mistake on the number of trash cans and blamed me. Up until July, I hadn't had a problem with garbage pickup. In July though, waste Mgmt missed my pickup 4 times! I called in and complained and they credited my account for the missed pickups but they gave no explanation as to why my garbage was missed. Now Friday, they missed my pick up again. It is impossible to get someone on the phone. It's like they don't want to talk to you! When I saw all the bad reviews and their response, all they could say is "I'm sorry"! They have this new device now that picks up the container and that's great except they just don't show up! Why? What's the reason? If I had a phone number, maybe I could find out. In past years I've always found Waste Management easy to contact and resolve any questions/problems with. in the last 2 years it has made a complete change. I have waited and waited on the phone for a customer service person to help, then was hung up on. As I write this, i've been on hold for 1 hour and 16 minutes .... what is going on? We live in Prescott, AZ. Our trash service was Patriot Disposal. Waste Management acquired Patriot Disposal in June. What a disaster! First, we heard about the acquisition via word of mouth, not via a mailing they claimed was sent out. None of the neighbors we talked to received a card. Pick up of our trash stopped. After several calls, we did get someone to come out and pick up the trash once. On that same call we were told that the trash would be picked up on our next regular pick up day. Guess what? No pickup, yet we saw their trucks in the neighborhood that very day. The customer service people, although polite, are completely clueless as to what's going on. There is a serious problem with Waste Management. The good news is....it won't be our problem in the future. We cancelled their service. read more

I don't write reviews ever. This was the single worst service experience I have ever had. They delivered the container I ordered to the wrong home on a Friday evening. I tried to call and they do not have anyone answer the phone all weekend. I had to wait until Monday morning to speak with someone. They then refused to give me any type of refund for the days that I lost with the container. This was the single worst customer service experience I have ever had in my life. Waste Management has a new policy that their only picking up trash that's in the green waste management bin, however there was no notification of that policy that supposedly went into effect Dec 4, 2023 in Byram. I doubt that there was any notification sent out because everyone house in Eagles Nest neighborhood still has garbage in front of their homes! I thought we pay a monthly garbage fee for ALL TRASH, not just half the trash! They stated that the NEW TRUCK will only pick up the green bin, but there was no new truck and there was two men as usual picking up the bins and dumping them in the truck! My camera picked up everything and I have the recording to upload if I need to do so! So let me contact all the news stations and BBB to file a complaint! The date of this complaint is inaccurate! I purchased a apartment building and the previous owner used WM, it took me 3 days for someone to return my call. Someone finally called me and I requested a quote. She emailed saying she gave me a quote on the phone. I had her email address. I told her I was not going to use WM and was told that I had to stay with them or pay a fee to get out of the contract, all that is not true. I emailed her asking for a direct phone number so I could speak to her, she told me she has one, but didn't want to give it out. But she could call me, but I didn't want to give out my number. What sales rep doesn't give out their phone number???????? Called Flood Brothers, and Robert Flood returned my call, gave me his cell number and told me to call him when needed. Called him 3 weeks later and he picked up phone and spoke to me. That is how you run a business!!! read more

Can't even pick up my trash after calling 4 times. They missed a pickup and marked as collected. Now I have trash piled up in my garage with maggots. The following week I put the bags out there and left a nice note that asked them to please take the trash bags since they didn't collect my trash the previous week. They emptied the container but didn't take the bags. So the cycle starts all over again. My garage stinks so bad because we have to put the trash bags there since our garbage can is full. If you can't even pick my trash after it was marked collected then how can you work for a sustainable tomorrow? You can't! read more

They wear the incompetency and unprofessionalism like a badge of honor. We were affected by hurricane Helene. I knew that service would be interrupted because of the storm. However, when I called the company on Monday, and waited on hold for over an hour to find out when we would finally get our trash collected, since they were 5 days past due, they assured me that we would be FIRST on their route. If there was a negative star option I would have selected that. Their prices are 4x times the price of other local trash companies. I have been trying to cancel my service with them for months now. They keep calling me to get me to pay the bill, which I do not owe because they bill ahead, and have spent hours on the phone on hold. I pick the option for a call back when an agent is available and they never call me back. I answer the calls when they call me but it is just an automated message and not an actual person. I tried to chat with the online agent who told me they couldn't cancel my service that way and could not have an agent call me right then to do it over the phone. When truck came around they tagged it and left. Waste Management is a company that is OVER CHARGING for their service here in the Chicago Region. For the identical service of 1 pick up a week of a 1.5 cu yd container they are charging 5x what a local and very reputable waste hauler is charging. Also don't expect any accommodation from them unless you spend the time getting quotes and going after them at contract time. This morning at 8:33am, I saw the recycle truck pull up to throw away my recyclables. Two gentlemen were working. I didn't get their names, but they were extremely professional. I had a few questions in regards to possible recyclable materials that were ready to go out, but no properly contained. They instructed me on what to do and even provided locations for drop-off. I'm sure that people working in the waste department don't get the recognition they deserve, so I wanted to highlight the professionalism these gentlemen displayed.
