tldr - if it's related to HVAC, call the installer of your HVAC system if possible…read more I called Green Bear to take a look at an HVAC system (on second floor) that was leaking water on the 1st floor ceiling (due to AC condensation). They sent someone over, who didn't really open the HVAC system panel much. I didn't seem confident that this would fix it. But they recommended to fix the drain pan inside the evaporator coil box, which they said was much more expensive. For clearing the drain pipe and gluing a loose pipe, which didn't actually fix the main problem, they still billed me $300 - diagnostic fee ($99) + 1 hour ($199) - (there's a 3% credit card fee, but they accept checks) 4 or 5 hours later, there was dripping again. I ended up calling Bob's, they sent 2 technicians who knew what they were doing (they opened the panel properly), they found and fixed the issue - it did not involve replacing a drain pan. Bob's only charged me the diagnostic fee of $175 and did the job right (compared to $300 that Green Bear charged)

I was quickly scheduled and the tech arrived on time, took care of the issue.i was provided pictures of the work, and a report. I found out shortly after there is a 90 day. Outstanding Service - Again! Thank You, Mark! This wasn't…read moreour first time with Top Heating & Cooling -- we called them about three years ago and had a great experience. So when we needed help again recently, it felt like reconnecting with a trusted name. And they didn't disappoint. This past weekend, my mum noticed our basement was flooding -- water was pouring from the pressure relief valve on our hot water tank. After doing some research, we managed to shut the tank off, but that left us without any hot water. Not exactly a fun situation! (We were half-joking about heading to the gym just to grab a shower.) Mark arrived and immediately put us at ease. He was professional, kind, and genuinely patient -- taking the time to explain the issue clearly before getting to work. He diagnosed the problem quickly and had everything fixed in no time. Thanks to him, we had our hot water back and our weekend back on track. It means a lot when a company earns your trust not just once, but twice. If you're looking for a technician who is not only skilled but also truly cares about the people he's helping, Mark is your guy. We'll absolutely be calling Top Heating & Cooling again -- hopefully not too soon, but without hesitation when we need to! Thank you, Mark! You saved the day (and our shower plans)!

I didnt get good vibes from the original company when I asked them about repairs and warranties, especially when I asked them why it failed and why I should expect it to not fail again. Mark was super helpful. There were actually somehow multiple spots where the line set was kinked and leaking due to the original installers error. Mark was able to find and fix these leaks very quickly and he seemed very trustworthy and honest. If I have any issues I will definitely call them again

I pitched a project via Yelp to install cooling and replace the furnace to all of the most highly rated companies in the area. All of them recommended a heat pump as opposed to traditional AC. Better Air NW's proposal was not only the least expensive by a fair margin, but also offered the highest quality machines and best warranties. Normally, I'd be pretty skeptical at that combination, but all of the positive reviews on Yelp convinced me to accept their offer. A few days later, as I write this I'm basking in the warmth of my new heater. The installation was smooth, painless, and well done. Despite some unexpected challenges in the home's design to figure out and overcome, they charged exactly their estimate; there were none of the kind of headaches or scams that one often expects dealing with contractors. All in all, great experience, these folks deserve their lofty reputation.

I decided to go with Better Air NW, mainly because of their high yelp rating. Install did not go perfectly. I had concerns about excessive equipment noise. Justin (the owner) assured me that if it's not right, it's not done. Air pressure settings needed to be corrected. Due to the vibration, we unmounted the heat pump from the house. After that, it's been smooth sailing. They appear to have a strategy of cultivating customer satisfaction and confidence. If you're shopping around, these guys are a pretty safe bet.
