Parking is free up to 30 days (and who's counting?). Free parking alone can justify the somewhat high fares here. The fares can be high. I get competitive prices, all things considered, for longer trips connecting is San Francisco. If you're only going to San Francisco or Portland and no further the cost can be ridiculous enough to drive instead. Because the flights are just a small plane that unloads, loads, and leaves again there is limited baggage space. On one trip my ski bag had to be sent the following day from SFO because there was no room. But picking it up the next day was very easy. I think delays here are very uncommon also, things go very smoothly. We have good weather, supposedly 300 or so sunny days a year. The only delay I had was due to fog in San Francisco in summer, they held us back due to the backup there. Sometimes I have gotten lower fares, especially from Reno or Sacramento. But considering the driving, parking, or train costs and the extra time it really didn't pay.

I can't say whether it's the fault of the staff or just shitty customers but every time I visit with the need to ship something flat rate there are next to no boxes out in the self-serve area and never any in the size I need. I don't like being forced to wait in the always-long line just to get a box that should be out on the shelf. And you have to use their boxes to ship flat rate. Often I find myself cursing as I either cram my goods into a too-small box or pad out a too-oversized box that I've found in the dregs of the shelving. It could be that the customers are to blame here, I do see some possible clues in the form of: 1. Half-assembled boxes left half-hazardly strewn around the counter space. 2. People who just stare blankly at the very obvious and simple choices on the self-service computer screen. ("Sir, I don't think you have the capacity to serve yourself.") 3. (this list item intentionally left blank) 4. Half-written address labels just left for dead on the counters. Seriously, every time I walk in there I feel a sense of malaise so thick I could cut it with a knife. But to the credit of the staff here, they have always been friendly enough and helpful (the few times I've had the wherewithal and the schedule availability to stand in line for the appropriate packing material. People - for the love of god. It's not that hard... don't steal all the boxes, learn the simple difference between Express, priority and flat rate. And get the hell out of my way. Oh, and if you can't read or you're just slow in general, stand in line and let the nice ladies at the counter help you. The self service machine is too complex for you.

Wouldn't verify my WA plate for my vehicle - which can be done online in about 30 seconds with the VIN. REALLY need to get with the current century of technology. It's easy to scam showing a piece of paper - electronic proof from a government agency is certainly more secure.
