My washer broke, and not going to lie, I'd been only doing basics for a few weeks, so I had a lot…read moreof laundry I was going to get done. We were able to order a new one but it won't arrive for a bit, so I needed to find a safe and reliable and clean laundromat. I hadn't gone to one in decades. So while we were out buying, we stopped by a few that were close by. To me, Lucy's was the best. It was large, very clean, and I felt very safe when we checked them out Sunday afternoon and Tuesday morning. Plus, there's a large parking lot, and a really good taqueria is next door. They can't offer credit card service right now as they're waiting on some parts to repair it. So bring your bucks. The change machines work and are refilled regularly. Note, this could change. Lucy's offers a fluff and fold service and I saw a lot of securely tied bags waiting for the owners to come pick it up. I arrived looking confused around 630am on Tuesday and the person who had opened up the laundromat was there and took pity on me. She showed me what I needed and made recommendations to help save me money. Then she helped me put in all the quarters. Such amazing service. I was so grateful. I drove through the McD's down the street before I arrived so I was able to enjoy a breakfast while I waited. They had a lot of those wonderful metal laundry carts with wheels. And they were obviously clean and maintained. The store has effectively four zones. The front section has top loaders washers and I'm assuming there were dryers. I didn't want to walk around too much. To the right was what I called the "Quiet Zone." There wasn't a tv and it just seemed quieter, but there were front load washers, and dryers. In the center was the main area where you could drop off laundry to be cleaned as well as purchase laundry products. To the left where I was had the change machine. Now there may have been one on the right zone but there were people there eating their breakfast so I didn't want to walk around being snoopy. Maybe next time. On the left was also a tv set with a morning program on, the bathroom (I believe you need someone who works there to let you in) and two vending machines - one with snacks and one with drinks. And there were the front loading washing machines and dryers. I saw three sizes of front loading machines. This is nice so you can pay for what you need. There are the large tables for folding laundry. I stuffed everything in my bags and brought them home so my husband could fold while we watch tv after dinner. So, if I have to go again, I will come here. I left around 745 so it didn't take long at all. I was pleased that the dryers really dried things in a very reasonable time.

They work well though this time there were a handful of machines with "out of order" signs. They have two change machines that dispense accurately. Found this Launderlux near us through yelp, we were impressed with the spaciousness, cleanliness, availability of many machines of the store. Being inexperienced with self service laundry mat we were also very appreciative of how friendly and helpful the attendant was. We spend a total of 1.5 hours which included doing some grocery shopping at nearby Nob Hill while the comforters were in the dryer. Even by using the largest 90 lb washing machine the total for washing two comforters plus drying came to less than $20 which is a fraction of what we used to pay. Hubby and I were quite happy with our first experience here and will be coming back again soon.

The nice part is it's a massive time saver. With only in unit machines, laundry could take all day. At the laundromat, it is an hour or so, then done. Laundry for a couple, once a week, costs about $20 here. Why not 5 stars? It isn't perfect. One machine has water on the floor - looks like a leak and I don't think it is air conditioned. And, either way, some large fans mounted in the walls would help with the humid heat that builds up. But, fast, clean, and convenience is worth 4/5 stars.

I appreciated their wash and fold services instead and the added folding was 100% worth the price increase vs doing it yourself. I've probably gotten this service a little under 10 times over the past year (the only issue is once my towel was caught on the door/ruined but luckily it was just a towel/not clothing I cared about). This time however when I picked up "my order", I immediately noticed it wasn't my right because I had brought a large bag of stuff and didn't recognize the clothes in the order I received. At first, he didn't believe me but I pushed and opened the bag and the clothes were clearly men's... I then pointed to a much larger bag from the same cabinet that I noticed had some of my clothes in it (luckily I washed some of my holiday pajamas/sweatshirts so the red and plaid stuck out to me). It wasn't even just a swap, some of the clothes in that bag too weren't mine! From shirts to sweaters and other items... I dropped off so many items and they mixed it up so bad I worry I didn't get all my stuff back. He said this is it/the only mix up but they not only completely mixed up the receipt to the correct bag, but all the stuff in it. If they wash everything separate how did that happen? I feel like they don't and don't feel comfortable ever risking it here again. They didn't charge me the extra $3 weight of my bag vs the one he initially charged me for but if anything that concerns me more... if you do come here way your own stuff before drop off so you can double check EDIT: going through my stuff some more and someone definitely got a few of my clothing items and I got some worn rags in exchange (they were between my towels so I missed them). To add insult to injury the folds are extremely sloppy and is not the same standard that I've received consistently in the past. Maybe they have a new hire or their old staff left but

I couldn't get here until later in the afternoon on a Sat, but thankfully it wasn't too busy. Upon entering, one of the workers was cleaning up where I needed to go. She was kind and redirected me to go around to to avoid slipping. After getting to the washers, she helped me decide which one was the right load for my blankets. I loaded my things - 2 blankets, 1 pillow - and went and got coins. There is a way to connect to the washer digitally, but since I don't come often, I didn't think it would be worth it for me. Getting change through the machine was easy and I got the load started right away. Once that finished up, I loaded them into the dryer and finished everything in about an hour. The washer was efficient and the dryer was hot. Everything was clean and the workers were friendly. It was very warm inside the laundromat and many dryers were not working while I was there. Maybe a renovation is in order. Overall, it was fine as a quick spot to wash bigger items and I wouldn't mind coming back again when I need to.

It had gotten heavily soiled and it would not have been able to fit into a regular sized washer. Thank goodness for this place because they do *full service* washing/ drying/ folding. They can clean your garments, blankets and anything else for you. All you need to do is drop off. Our King sized comforter was $26 to clean and the process was so simple. I walked in and went straight to the back to talk to the workers who said they could have it ready for me in 24 hours. Sure, it may have been pricey to do this but for the convenience and someone else taking care of it for you-- why not. As promised, I received a text the next day to come pick up. I came in and the comforter was bagged up, ready for use again. When I opened up the bag and saw that the comforter was pristine, I was impressed. Highly recommend this spot if you want to do full service. Definitely coming back if my washer/ dryer (fingers crossed they don't) break down and I need a place to come do laundry. Like other reviewers said, the place is clean. The bathroom which I had to use was also clean to my standards.

There's also plenty of modern perks for booking like automated texts letting you know the status of your order or when your driver will arrive. Your laundry comes back on time folded neatly in a bag on time, if not earlier than anticipated. All in all, couldn't recommend them enough for all your laundry needs.
