Everyone in the office is absolutely horrible and rude. I agree with these reviews about the people running the front office. Spoke to 3 people including Elizabeth and Lupita the "office manager", another review stated people that come here are going through enough. There is no empathy or understanding at this office. The simple expression that could describe Dr. Waseem is that he is a genius, a miracle & a man of God. He had been recommended by a mutual friend to treat my sister in law who is living in Louisville, Kentucky and had been facing serious neurological symptoms. All the doctors in Louisville failed to treat her. When she first visited Dr. Ibrahim's office, we were very well treated. All the team is extremely professional. Terrible doctor. No soft skills and leaves his patients hanging out to dry. I've never once received any recommended treatment, therapy, or prognosis. Just collects my copay and prescribes meds. Staff are not helpful and caring either. They treat you like cattle. I changed to a PPO plan just to get away from the terrible doctors in my HMO plan. I have been seeing Dr Imbrahim for about 10 years because I get Vertigo. He does a miniver that truly works. It realigns the crystals in your ears. It is truly a trust issue with me. I have to relax & let him do his work. I usually see him no more than 2-3 times. In October I had it for 30 days. I went twice a week. It took the whole month. Unprofessional. Unethical. Unreliable. English as a second language and this doctor has no interest in perfecting his ability to communicate. This results in grammatical errors on his request to approve treatment resulting in those requests to be denied. An inability to communicate reasons for the visit nor his ability to communicate his reasoning back to the patient. Which isn't relevant since the doctor has no interest in the patient. Performs procedures without discussing with patient resulting in bills. Expect this doctor to perform procedures unnecessarily, to not be able to communicate results, and stop half way through and then bill you. Requests for documents are incomplete. Lab results not provided. Communications with insurance not provided. The office manager/nurse communicates poorly, too. Speaks with double negatives when she means to use only one negative confusing the conversation. Office does not take notes to communicate to people on break/holiday and require the patient to call back hoping they answer their phones which they often do not answer. read more

This doctor said to me he had done all tests necessary and couldn't do anything else for me because AND I QUOTE (because who could forget a doctor saying this to them?): I "probably had a pinched nerve somewhere and it wasn't his job to find it". I left his office crying and immediately asked for a new neurologist. My new neurologist has found that I had lumbar and sac herniations, tear, severe stenosis which was causing the numbness I came to Dr. Ibrahim for, and nerve impingements. Apart from scoliosis, kyphosis and anterolisthesis at c7. I'm currently working on filing a report against this doctor. I hope no one has to go to this doctor and be mistreated that way. Patients deserve SO MUCH BETTER! than a doctor who doesn't care. I'm now in physical therapy and healing NO THANKS to this horrible doctor. read more

I should have noticed the yelp ratings and if I could turn back the clock, I would have never gone to this provider. After an EMG administered a very painful shock on the back of my left leg, I left Dr Ibrahim's office in a lot of pain in that area. It has been weeks, and that pain has not gone away. I have braced the area, am limiting my movements and am seeking treatment. After I contacted his office regarding the unrelenting pain from the EMG, Dr. Ibrahim refused to see me or respond to my messages. During this visit, he also emphatically encouraged his prescription for Topamax a heavy medication causing weight loss and infertility. The fact that I have been able to manage my headaches without any medication, shows how erroneous it was for him to prescribe a medication that would have made me unable to have children when he could have prescribed something less intense like Gabapentin. You go to a doctor to get better, not worse. Now I am suffering a physical pain that I did not have before Dr. Ibrahim's nerve conduction test. I miss going to the gym, which I've avoided because of the pain. Most of all, I've dealt with and recovered from various medical problems for almost a year now and was looking forward to continuing normal functioning finally, but now I have to deal with this crap. What is scary is not knowing if my leg will ever be the same or if this is permanent damage. read more

This office needs more than a Yelp review, they should have grievances filed with the medical board. I've tried to get my records for four months. They want me to drive hours to pick them up in person and CHARGE ME. It's illegal to charge for medical records. They refuse to mail or send via email. They also tried to refuse my doctor who then requested the records. The staff is so rude and incompetent. Stay away if you have any choice, they smile when they first meet you and get your insurance, and then they treat you so disrespectfully. read more

The worst experience ever I passed through in my life. Roxy is a receptionist called me for third time to reschedule my son's 8 years his appointment. She told me that she does not have a provider for 3rd time and should wait another 3 months so it means when a provider wants to see my son after 6 months in total. I told her I want my son to be seen soon, she told me can make it in 2 months. I told her doesnt have any sense that 2 times to call me and stated that the provider left the clinic and this is the second provider left the clinic within 2 months. I requested her to tell me the truth if she will have provider or not, she requested me to tell her the DX of my son, as I did not know, I told her please check his appointment reason in your system since really I don't know except my son did MRI and the GP referred my son to the SP neurologist. She told me sorry I can assist you since you don't cooperate with me and tell me his Diagnosis, I told her copy what you have in your system, she stated I don't have any :-( here I could not stop crying because she doesn't want to schedule my son because she thought I am not cooperating with her and told me I will let my manger talk to you, I was on Hold for an hour to wait for manager to talk to me over the phone, then the phone disconnected, they thought when disconnected the issue will be resolved and no body will do anything to them. I think they do that to lots of parents who really scared about their children. what a management and office not to have a provider or several providers leave them, which means a lot to me. Since they refused and accused me that I did not want to cooperate with them and to cancel my son's appointment and everything and leave me like this got scared for my son and dont know where to go. I decided to write over here so no parent love his child took him to them since they dont care about patients and customer care. I will complain to my plan and to the board. Went on vacation for labor day weekend. High tailed it back Tuesday in 106 weather 91 freeway miserable. Only to find out that they canceled appointment because they called on Friday and nobody called them back. We called insurance getting different Dr. We never seen or met this guy only his np. The P.A. is amazing! We went to the appointment with a great deal of nerves and worry. she was easy to talk to, reassuring, and made us feel that everything would be okay. The office itself is clean and very nice. Extra comfy chairs in the exam rooms. Our one and only complaint would be the front office people. They are curt bordering on rude. The patients are going through a lot already and a polite, friendly face and tone would certainly be warranted. There have also been a few times when we've left messages and never received a call back. When we told the office staff that we aren't getting a call back, we were just given attitude. I cant belive today me and my moms worst expirence ever, the girls in the front were so lost like they were running around like headless chickens like no one actually had a position everyone did this n that it went from one girl helping us to another and another and another, Some of the girls were joking around other taking pictures and not taking there job seriously, i went up to ask a random worker there n she told me to" wait" with one finger straight out in my face. I couldnt belive it. I was so eye raked!!! I kept my cool n sat down n didnt even bother to ask again. The receptionist was so sweet when we left with a smile. At least that made me not want to blow up about the other girl who told me to wait. Lucky my mother saw the dr. And we left she mentioned the dr was amazing. But she didnt like how they treated us. Were at the pharmacy and they forgot to send in the rx i called the office about my moms medication to the office and some lady yolanda was so freaking rude!! Sorry for my profanity but its true she put me on hold for about 15mins seriously lady really then she didnt help us with anything other than have someone else call us. In the end the matter was fixed but i am giving this practice a 1 star its not fair that people are in need of medical attention and they still have to deal with rude people. Dr. Ibrahim is such a miracle worker. I was hospitalized after loosing my ability to walk and had no muscle strength. Dr. Ibrahim did what the hospital couldn't which was offer a proper diagnosis, accurate treatment and medications. Thanks to him I feel like I have my life back, I couldn't thank him enough. Not only did I gain my ability to walk but thanks to the Infusion treatment he recommended I feel better than I did before I was diagnosed with an autoimmune disorder. I am incredibly grateful to him and his staff for giving me my life back/ he truly cares and it is something that you don't get with every doctor, he spends his time with his patients getting to know them and hence knowing what's best for them. This office staff makes you wonder how these people are employed. They made me want to pull my hair out. Here we go.... I was referred to this physician and phoned his office to make an appointment. I was asked every possible question about myself, (including my address and social security number, which is not necessary since I will be filling out paperwork at my appointment). Once I answered all these rather intrusive questions, I was told that my paper work hadn't been received yet and to call back. Huh? You couldn't figure that out before you wasted BOTH of our time? So, I called back as instructed. When I called back, I was placed on hold for 13 MINUTES!!! After that time, a woman came back to the phone and tried to ask me the same series of questioning that I endured during my first phone call. I explained to her that I needed for them to check if they'd received my paperwork before we go any further. Back on hold I go for another 7 minutes. She comes back on the phone, only to tell me that their fax machine is down and if I could possibly hand deliver the necessary documents to their office, in order to book my appointment. Huh?!?!? "What kind of Mickey Mouse operation is this," I thought. Do I want to be seen by someone who has THESE PEOPLE running his office for him?!?! I had no choice, however, because I had been referred to him and couldn't switch without having seen him, per my insurance. Since I have a life and don't have time to run around delivering things to offices, I didn't take my forms down there that day as requested. Instead, I phoned my referring physician and explained the issues that I was dealing with. Their fax machine must have magically repaired itself, because when the other office sent the fax, it went through. How convenient. I made my appointment, which was a month away, and left it at that. The day before my appointment, I called to confirm. Considering the encounters I had with these people, I thought it would be wise to do so. What happened next was so ridiculous, I thought it was a joke. The staff member told me that the doctor was out for an "unspecified amount of time for personal reasons" and my appointment would have to be cancelled until further notice. I then asked, "When were you going to call and give me notice??!! Once I arrived?!?" Of course she told me that they're busy. If they're busy at all, it's not because they're working.... Later that day, I called back and spoke to a different staff member who took a very defensive and indignant tone with me. She barked, "the doctor had a medical emergency earlier this week and when he gets back, we'll call you" and hung up in my face. Needless to say, I never got a phone call. I can't attest to Dr. Waseem's skill level or his personal professionalism. If he did have a medical emergency earlier that week, I feel for him, but his staff should have called everyone once they had word. PERIOD. While although I can't attest to Dr. Waseem's skill level or his professionalism, I can say this: if you let your office staff conduct your business like it's a circus, you're nothing more than a clown. This doctor is as ignorant as they can get. I can most assuredly say that any positive reviews he has ever gotten are probably paid for by this so-called physician. He was to see my daughter for a neurological issue she has been dealing with for over 4 months. He ran basic blood tests-CMP,CBC,ANA, RF to diagnose her symptoms. Blood tests came out fairly normal. However my daughter has convulsions, speech impediment, difficulty walking, swallowing problems, reduction in reflexes, blindness and blurry vision, and few other minor symptoms. These all lead to some type of nerve or brain issue. We had her checked by 9 specialists, including an psychologist to eliminate any type of psychosis, a rheumatologist, internal medicine, ophthalmologist, nuero-ophthalmologist, 2 different ER doctors, allergist, and a family practice physician and they all said it was neurological. The doctor saw my daughter for no more than 2 minutes and had his PA or nurse practitioner discuss with us that there is nothing we can do for her. It is not neurological. Of course as a concerned parent I already knew the doctor was full of it because he did not order a MRI, nerve tests, or swallow test. We are taking her to a new neurologist and after the new doctors diagnosis is complete I will march into this ignorant, self proclaimed physician's office and let them know how to diagnose a patient. Then file a complaint with the medical board showing his lack of care and knowledge could have left my daughter struggling for a long time. If you are concerned for your safety or for your loved one DO NOT GO OR SEND ANYONE HERE, it would be better to find a qualified neurologist rather than a physician who probably fell asleep through all his classes. If a patient knows more than the doctor, then the doctor should probably rethink his professional goals and become a taco bell janitor. read more

I was pleasantly surprised by his friendly demeanour and his thorough examination. He really seems to care about what you are feeling and going through. I went to him based on reviews and boy was that a mistake. I was sent to be tested for a specific condition which took two blood tests. He did one but didn't do the other because of the extra paperwork involved. When I asked him questions he would either say "yes, okay", which made it obvious he wasn't listening, or he would say "From what I recall from school (insert incorrect information here)". He graduated over 30 years ago; there have been new developments since then, it's time to catch up to the 21st century. My PC is referring me to a neuro that will actually help. read more

This office, it's doctors, and staff are everything that is wrong with the health care system. Most people visiting a neurologist are dealing with serious issues. I came here dealing with the biggest medical issue of my life, and unfortunately, having MEDICAL insurance meant I didn't have many options in terms of doctors. This is where your hopes of recovery come to die. The front desk staff are so incompetent and mirror the same lack of urgency that the doctors do. The neurologist I saw at this office decided to approach my medical issue by "going down the list of medications and prescribing me a new one each month" until we found one that worked. Wow, brilliant!!!!!!!! She single-handedly removed herself from the responsibility of having to do any additional thinking or brain work to try to figure out what was wrong with me. Constantly minimized everything I was feeling by telling me that it was a "migraine" and one that she had come across many times-- wow , a medical genius. I experienced several MISERABLE reactions to the medications she prescribed, thought about going to a hospital multiple times. Called the office to try to talk to the doctor about the reactions I was having, and her front desk staff would take a message and promise to get back to me in 48 hours (LOL), but of course they never did. I feel so bad for everyone that ever has to come in contact with this office. Doctors are on autopilot with no incentive to actually help anyone. This doctor is the reason I switched insurances. Both my mother and I arrived to the office at 2:20pm sharp, 40 minutes before an appointment scheduled for my grandma. We entered the facility without face masks and were greeted by two members of their office staff sitting at the front desk. My mother made a payment to them and communicated with one of the staff members multiple times before sitting down to fill out paper work. As my mom began filling out paper work, I asked the woman sitting at the front desk if it was okay for me to enter the office to use the restroom, to which she agreed. There was no reluctance on her part nor any verbal indication that I should be wearing a mask while in the facility. At 2:56, my grandma arrived with my aunt and shortly after they proceeded to enter the office for her scheduled appointment. I stayed in the waiting room and after 10 minutes of my family's absence a staff member inquired as to whether or not I have a mask. When I responded no, she went to speak to another associate and came back saying that I need to wait outside if I am without a mask. I gently asked if it would be okay to take a spare from them and was told that masks were for patients only and I need to leave. Meanwhile, they offered my mom a mask as she entered the appointment with my grandma. They remained persistant and maintained that I wait outside. My mom then came out and offered to pay for a mask and said that it was inappropriate to make someone wait out in the street especially if they are not reluctant to wear a mask and just didn't have one. Their persistance quickly turned into anger and we were yelled at by multiple if not all members of their staff (four woman in total) and they kicked us out. We tried to reason with them and they proceeded to kick us all out angrily and refused to even let my 77 year old grandma with Alzheimer's relieve herself before exiting the facility. They even threatened to call the police. Mind you, I have all of this recorded on video. My mother recounted to me later that while inside and trying to reason with one of the women, she became agressive and pointed her finger in my mother's face. This reaction was unwarranted, especially considering no members of our party were unwilling to wear a mask (my mom wore one when they offered it to her) and I was not notified of this requirement until after sitting in their waiting room for an hour. They lead with ego rather than understanding and a genuine heart for service. They are unethical, unkind, and maintain bad practice. read more

He asked why we were even there and proceeded to do some simple tests based on pressure and then dismissed us. Said it was a shoulder injury and nothing he could do even though her arms goes numb and tingles all the time. Waste of time and this guy just doesn't care. I'm giving five stars for Mary Wier, my Nurse Practioner at Dr. Ibrahim's office. She has been treating me for my seizure disorder for years and I will say with confidence that she has been the absolute best in the 35 years of dealing with my condition. She's calm, thorough, listens patiently and answers my questions in a clear manner. She's better than any MD I've had. Hub dx with MS in sept. Took 2 weeks of my leg work to get his staff to get meds approved and ordered. He has not seen dr Ibrahim since and when requested they refuse to make appt for my hub during beginning of attack and instead prescribed meds over phone wo seeing him! Our pcp is changing our neuro due to their lack of caring. Do not waste your time here. read more

Dr. Ibrahim has helped me manage my ever increasing migraines that I've suffered from for a number of years and I'm now happy to be on a regiment that keeps them in check. In 2007, Seven years ago, I to was referred to Dr. Waseem, after suffering a very hard hit to the left cheek. At first he seemed like he cared, but when he found out I had to take the person to court that caused my injury, he and his PA treated me as if I was a liar. They did not want to treat me any longer so he retracted my diagnosis, and refused to see me, with no referral to another Doctor from his office my attorney had to do this. I made the choice to go back to Orange County where the medical personal actually care about their patients! I hope they read these reviews. Because I still suffer from my post concussion syndrome. My life is not of the same quality I had before the accident. And I have never felt like the same person again. I cannot take wind, loud noises in my left ear or bright lights in my left eye, any of which will cause horrible pain, and facial paralysis of the left side for up to 20 minutes at a time. I cannot drive for prolonged time because I still do not have the ability for the amount of concentration it take to drive a vehicle safely. I also have problems with large crowds, and over stimulation. (I feel the need to be by myself when I get overwhelmed by conversations in the room or just too many people). I would not recommend Dr. Waseem or his PA to anyone. I feel that if they had believed me from the beginning I may of received the proper care and may of made a better recovery. read more

I had a one-time grand mal seizure that had no precedence in either my health or any family history. Dr. Ibrahim put me on Topamax that entirely did something awful to my brain: I was afraid to be alone in my own house, even while my husband just went to the store; I couldn't remember people's names; and I struggled for words. Dr. Ibrahim did not care to find a reason for my seizure: He literally justified the drug by saying, "You're not having any more seizures; you should be happy." This guy wasted a year of my life by not being interested to find a cause or alternative treatments. My primary care doctor referred me to USC's neurology department, and I am now very happy with Dr. David Ko, am taking Lyrica and have my driver's license back.. read more

If I could give 0 stars I would!! This is the absolute worst doctor I have ever seen!! We were referred to this doctor for my father-in-law by his primary care doctor after he was diagnosed with dementia. He was scheduled for an MRI before the appointment per the ER doctors request and we were told that the results would be sent to Dr. Waseem. When we arrived at our appointment the doctor was extremely rude to our family asking why so many people were at the appointment. My father-in-law does not speak English so obviously someone had to be present to translate and the rest of us were there to be an informed support system. They did not have the MRI report when we arrived for our appointment. The doctor was extremely rude and condescending telling us that he did not need an MRI to make a diagnosis of which type of dementia my father-in-law had. When I told him that was the exact opposite of what the ER doctors said he informed us that the doctors in the ER were stupid! When I called him out on his rude behavior he prompted left the room and sent in his PA Mary. She was very polite and helpful and explained everything to use and said she would call us when she got the MRI report. During her evaluation of my father-in-law she said without seeing the MRI results she thought he had Alzheimer's after we left she called us and let us to tell us she had received the report and my father-in-law definitely had vascular dementia. If we had not been so persistent about having the report from the MRI my father-in-law would have been miss diagnosed. We then got a letter from this terrible doctor saying he was refusing to see my father-in-law again!! We didn't plan to return why would I want a rude, condescending incompetent doctor treating anyone in my family!!! This doctor should be investigated for malpractice! I think it's a shame that people like my father-in-law who do not speak English and are on government insurance are treated so poorly and they have no resources to have doctors like this removed from the list of approved providers. Anyone that needs this type of care, neurology for any reason I strongly suggest them. They truly do care, they give each patient individual care, and when you come in you arent waiting very long. I just left this so called Neurology Office at 7172 Magnolia Ave., Riverside. My sister was his patient until he walked out of the room. She is on Topamax which gives her blinding headaches, they suggested Depakote 250 mg 2X day. My sister has had liver problems in the past and her last labs with him were a year old. When asked about a new blood panel he said it wasn't necessary, and would draw blood again in 3 mo. We first talked to Mary Weir his PA and she was as unprofessional as he was. I went with my sister because she's having a hard time remembering things and has developed a seizure disorder. Mary was upset because she was asked to explain the results of a EKG that were done. She rolled her eyes, and was totally rude. She got up and left talked to the doctor, and when he came in after 40 min. he walked in with a attitude. He told us that we were taking up to much of his time, and that everything was already explained to us. Well apparently it was not explained well at all the 1st time or we would not be asking again. My sister has dealt with the mind for over 25 yrs, and so since she had questions that they could not answer we get an attitude. I guess the worst part is that they left her on the Topamax knowing it was not working and did not change her medication. This doctor and his PA are so very unprofessional. I will be talking to the Medical Board and to my sister insurance about our visit. If you have a choice of a Neurologist Please don't use this one. read more
