This is the areas best dining experience. Toni is a blast and the pricing is well worth the show. All options are exquisite in taste. You can order anything on the menu and be satisfied. read more

I was excited to find a place with hibachi in Wausau, but will not be going back. You do start your hibachi meal with soup and a salad. However, rather than making fried rice on the grill, you are given a cup of steamed white rice. There are no sauces offered for your meal. The meal is also prepared one at a time. I ordered the shrimp and it was made with the appetizer. Every other main meat meal was made after (one at a time). The vegetables were made last... and at that time, my main meal was already over. Unfortunately, it was the worst teppanyaki experience I have had thus far. I will say that the waitress was kind and attentive, but the restaurant itself is outdated as well. read more

Wasabi - Sushi Bars Near Me - Schofield, Wisconsin

Decent sushi for the price. I have to say their tuna Rangoon has to be one of the best things though! Their sushi can be hit or miss but most of the time it's pretty good. The service is always very nice and the ambience is OK. read more

The fish quality is at or below what you could find at the grocery store. The whole atmosphere of the restaurant is off-putting. From the exterior paint color to the decor and furniture inside. The food is overpriced for what you receive, let alone the fish tasting musky and fishy. The last time I ate here, I ended up getting sick after my first bite because of it and I threw it all in the trash. Other items on the menu aside from sushi are not much better. How can you serve chicken katsu and not have katsu sauce?... I refuse to ever come back to this establishment. read more

Best sushi in town, always great service great food and good drinks. Definitely go to spot when you want something good

Fun place to eat !! Great food and atmosphere. Will go again definitely. My grandchildren love to go here for their birthday dinners.

The food is as sad and outdated as the decor. If you're going to do the teppanyaki, just stick with the chicken. The filet is fast-food grade, the shrimp won't be deveined and the lobster is frozen, smothered with cheese and tougher than the filet. The sushi was suspect also. read more

I love coming here when I'm in Wausau. The sushi is always SO good and Fresh. I'm working my way through the chef specials! read more

We ate in the regular dinning side and got the Godzilla Roll and Tiger Roll both were great and filling.

Great sushi in Wausau! Excellent service and they also offer the Japanese grill experience with personal chef for non-sushi diners. We eat here on every trip to ski/snowboard at Granite Peak. read more

Wasn't anything great. Ordered takeout. Was told 15 min. Was cold when I picked it up.

Great service and even better food (which is hard to match)- prices aren't too bad considering the size of the rolls (large rolls). We will be back! read more

This place is FANTASTIC!! Very similar vibe to Royal Tokyo in Marshfield (same owner/teppanyaki chef). To the family who had reviewed negatively....while your review I do trust was accurate I highly recommend giving them another chance my guess is that you dined on one of their fairly new days/weeks and as we all know perfection takes some time...all new things need to hit some bumps to figure out where more fine tuning needs to take place. We were just there the other night and from the looks on the faces of all the other patrons and staff too - things were rocking and everyone was enjoying themselves. :) in addition - I do highly believe that if your negative experience was shared with staff/management they would certainly do their best in some way to try and make a portion if not all of it up to you! Personally - my favorite there is the teppanyaki/hibachi menu and the filet and salmon combo or the ribeye and salmon combo. Tony is a phenomenal chef on so many levels! Feel free to chat with him while he's preparing your meal - I PROMISE you it will make your dinner so much better! read more

Sushi was good but the owner is pretty sketchy from what I've heard about him from past employee's. Food related, there's better out there.

Fantastic food! Wasabi and Masa have always been my favorite 2 places to go. When you first walk in it is a bit out dated but the food and service makes up for that! read more

Best sushi in town! They have a roll on the menu that is practically exactly what I want when I customize a roll too which just makes it easier to order. Orders are ready when they say, no complaints about giving spicy Mayo on the side either. The teppanyaki was good too! Have only ordered take out so I'm not sure about seated service or drinks, but it certainly seemed popular when we picked up and everyone seated seemed happy. read more

Always hesitant to get sushi in central Wisconsin so my usual test is to see how they handle simple appetizers with my first order to get an idea of ability and quality. Answer: Yikes! Katsu chicken aka rubber chicken, served with a tub of ketchup lol. Tempura Vegetables, soggy and leaked with sauce all over them...very strange sauce I might add. Gyoza were over done and small, but probably the most edible item we received. I was always hesitant and I should've trust my soon to be upset gut. Oh well, at least I learned 715Delivery is a solid service read more

Your average sushi place in Wisconsin. You don't expect much and you don't get much. Not in where i wasn't full i was! a good lunch special just not mouth watering sushi. Unappetizing taste. Definitely not the freshest ingredients but i assume when plants are more in season it can be better. Great octopus salad though. My friend enjoyed her bento box i had 3 sushi rolls. The nigiri ebi was okay just not big like i'm use too. Give it a try. You may like it, just not me type of sushi stop. read more

Great place for family and entertaining service. From a west coast view grub was pretty nice

Very good sushi and Japanese food even though it may not look like it. Comparable to matsuya in Stevens point. Their menu is smaller but more flavorful. The staff was highly attentive. Very informative to questions. You don't find service like this in Wisconsin often. The sushi and main dishes were so good I forgot to take pics of them. My new favorite oriental spot. read more

I've dined at many Asian restaurants and this quaint though lively establishment provided absolutely exquisite cuisine!!!!!!!! The menu is large however each meal we ordered was truly delightful! The service, namely Gracie, Ashley, Ryan, and cute and hardworking Charlotte bent over backwards, to make certain we lacked for nothing. Filling drinks, cleaning up after each dish, friendly, but not hovering. Ryan was particularly impressive, stopping at our table to be sure we were happy with our service . He worked so hard turning tables, and had time to see people had all they wanted. This was especially impressive because it was very busy. Charlie the GM was very kind, and I observed him making sure everything was ran smoothly, with a smile. Highly recommend, would give 10 stars if was an option. I've heard nothing but rave reviews from other friends, and couldn't wait to go! Live music on Wednesday nights, and some Fridays! Sushi is delicious and beautiful ., Pear martinis are to die for!!! Gracie and Charlotte .,. best server/hostess Wasabi up and coming "it" place to delight yourself with food, drink, and service!!! Definitely going back!!!!!! read more

Great place!! Glad to have Marshfield natives expand to Wausau... so happy for Tony and the gang!!

Make sure you check the menu and your receipt before you give these people your money! The menu said 24.00 for salmon and sole combo meal but the receipt said 9.00 for sole and 21.00 for salmon. The drink on the menu said 6.00 but the receipt said 7.00. I didn't notice this until the next day. When I called they said the price went up and they didn't change the menu. They refused to refund the difference. Not coming back. Horrible customer service and thieves!!! read more

Always amazing. We always get the Weston roll, spicy tuna ragoon and it's always amazing. Never a bad experience

The best sushi and grill food in our area. The teriyaki salmon meal with their amazing miso sauce is a favorite as well as the tuna ragoons. Tip - they will make any of the monthly specials year round, so go to their Facebook and find an amazing selection of special/seasonal rolls in addition to the already awesome menu. read more

I've had sushi all over the world and set my expectations low being in a small town in a land-locked state. I was quite pleasantly surprised. The sashimi tasted fresh and delicious. The specialty rolls were huge and equally as tasty. The fried calamari appetizer had rings the size of onion rings and were meaty and crispy fabulousness. The staff was very friendly and efficient. I would definitely come back. read more

Loved the sushi! It was amazing. The staff is very very friendly. I stop every time I come through town.

This is absolutely fantastic! I was a little unsure when looking at the exterior - wow, glad I walked in! I ordered a tempura vegetable bento box. The tempura was light and fresh. Seafood soup was exceptional. Ordering multiple rolls to go so I hope the are as the rest of the meal!! read more

Everything is amazing and Tony is a great chef. Weston roll and Tiger rolls are or favorites.

I've never been a fan of this type of food... but my ex took me here a few months back and regardless of the price I will definitely be back. Best food I've had in a long time and they definitely put on a show too. Worth the money and the time. read more

My party sat at the hibachi table and I ordered sushi because I'm not a fan of the excessive salt and soy sauce of traditional hibachi. I got my sushi WAY before the rest of my party was served their food so I patiently waited for them. I watched the hibachi chef cook each of their entrees, one. at. a. time. There were 8 orders. It took FOREVER for everyone to be served. I've never been to a hibachi that didn't cook all the orders at once. Also, the food was cooked with SO MUCH BUTTER. There is no reason for that much butter. He also smothered all the veggies and meat in honey. So if you're looking for a VERY unhealthy meal, that's your option. Now on to my sushi... it was horrible. The rice was not fresh, the seaweed was chewy, and the entire roll just lacked flavor. There was way too much cream cheese and I couldn't taste any seafood in it. I might be back, but I won't be ordering the sushi or the hibachi. read more
