It pains me greatly to be writing this review, as I've been eating lunch here with my husband at least twice a month for several years now. We love their food and the waitresses have always been attentive and considerate. I work directly across the street from here, so I always picked Wasabi when it was my turn to pick on our weekly lunch date. I have an hour for lunch and this has always been plenty of time for us to drive over, order, be served, eat at our own pace, and get me back to work on time. That being said, both my husband & I have decided we will never walk through their doors again. Last Thursday, we went in for lunch at noon...the same time we usually go. There were 2 other tables...they were not busy customer-wise. The waitress took our order (a new, very young girl I had never seen before) and we got our drinks/salad/miso in about the same time as we usually do, which is around 5-7 minutes. We ordered the exact same entrees we usually order. We didn't see a waitress again for 45 minutes with the exception of her removing our soup/salad dishes right after we had finished with them. When we did see another, it was a different girl than we had before and she said our food would be out shortly. No apology; no explanation. I asked her to please make it to-go because I had to get back to work and wouldn't have time to eat. She came back shortly and gave us our bill, while telling me that it was the cooks' fault and not the waitresses that our food was taking so long. We went up front to pay while still waiting on our food to be ready in a to-go box. My husband handed the cashier the bill, who happened to be our first waitress. He asked her if we had to pay full price and she looked at him like he had two heads. He asked again, do we have to pay full price? I chimed in and explained that I only had an hour for lunch and had to get back across the street to go back to work, but our food still wasn't ready. She just stared at me, uncomprehendingly. Perhaps this was a language conflict; I don't know because I've never seen her there before. At any rate, she yelled something to someone in the kitchen and they yelled back. She rang up his ticket, ran his card, and gave him the receipt. She had taken $2.00 off the bill...which basically covered the cost of one drink. By this point, it was exactly 1:00pm, we had been there an entire hour, and had paid for food we had yet to see. Beyond all of that, at no point did ANYONE apologize to us, explain anything, or take responsibility for what had happened. When the second waitress blamed it on the cooks, it sounded more like she was begging for a tip than anything else. This was the first time in my life I approved of not leaving a tip. We waited about 5 more minutes on our food and they finally handed it to us. I was 10 minutes late for work and didn't get to eat lunch. My husband went home and ate his, stuck mine in the refrigerator, and I had my last Wasabi meal that evening for dinner...re-heated in our microwave. There was absolutely no excuse for what happened that day, and I'm relatively laid-back about restaurant service because I've been involved with several people who have worked in the restaurant industry and I know how hard it can be. I'm now on the hunt for a new Thai joint in the Concord area! read more

This is one of my favorite places to get sushi! The staff is always nice and are attentive. Prices are reasonable and you get a good quantity. They have other delicious Thai entrees as well. This was my first visit to Wasabi. I typically order from other local Thai restaurants but it was Sunday afternoon and all of them were closed except for this place. Taking a chance on a new place, I ordered the chicken pad thai and the caterpillar roll to go.To my delight, both were fresh and delicious. I would order from here again but definitely to go. i ordered a tuna tempura roll and when it came, the tuna was dark brown and looked like burnt chicken. the rice was bad and had no flavor. i do not recommend this place at all. read more

We have driven by many times and wondered about this restaurant. We finally found ourselves on this side of town and decided to try it...and will not return. The food was so-so (nothing great) and more expensive than it was worth! We do not mind paying more if the food is worth it but this place is not worth it! Our waitress was horrible!! To be honest it was probably not all her fault. She was young, could not answer any question about the menu, and we literally got our entrees before our appetizers and water. We ordered edamame and a sushi roll as an app. Our entrees were green curry chicken and red curry pork. She reversed them...My fiancee got green curry PORK and I was served red curry CHICKEN. We had to ask for our appetizers. As if I hadn't already realized it by now, I ordered a glass of saki when my meal came....I didn't get it until my entire meal was finished (and I sent it back with a 'nevermind') Then at the end she realized she never brought our soup and salads that came with our entrees (at this point we didn't even remind her). Sounded like the poor table behind us was having an even harder time! There were 6 of them, they ran out of salad (that is supposed to come with the entree) then it sounded like every sushi roll they ordered came out wrong! I went here today and had been sitting for an hour for our appetizers after the bubble tea took like 20 minutes, our waitress which i think is the only waitress is not attentive at all we ordered satay chicken as an appetizer she said "im heating up the peanut sauce" we never got it she served people who just walked in before us mind it being like 2 hours waiting for our meal by then definitely wouldn't recommend dining in (update we ended up leaving and the waitress got mad because of it and they were obviously just then cooking it after being in the restaurant business for 3 years now she definitely hadnt even put in our order) read more

I have frequented here for years and recently the quality has dropped. My pad thai tonight was reddish brown, several stuck together globs, salty and tasteless. Visually it did not even represent pad thai! We will not be going back....it has become way to hit or miss. read more

Went here on a rainy day to hang out with a best friend bc they said it was awesome, well it wasn't... We wanted hot saki not to see it get microwaved right in front of us like they did after taking an old chicken sandwich out first, tofu was not fried like they said it was just rolled in breading, the waiters kept going out to smoke not even washing their hands before asking me if I needed anything, yes I need you to be clean, the young girl was always on the phone or sitting down to eat, the reason for two stars is for my friend, it smelled terrible service was dumb and do not get saki or water kept in a sweet tea jug lukewarm, should get shut down read more

Always bad service. There is a young lady there who is argumentative and extremely rude and snobby with customers. I've noticed that sushi rolls come out different every time, also the wait staff has no idea of the products on the menue. I've been coming here for years. The food is excellent. The specialty sushi rolls are creative and delicious. The ingredients are always fresh and the portions are a good size for the money. I am a good snob and I eat here sometime 2 or 3 times a week. The food is always ready in a timely manner and the staff is friendly and welcoming. Usually this place is good for me and my friends - good food, a little pricey, but good service. I placed an order for 3 regular rolls and I was told it would be twenty minutes. I showed up 25 minutes later. Young lady at the counter said one roll was ready, other two in ten more minutes. I stated someone said twenty minutes. She looked at me like I cursed her and said, But there were other orders ahead of you. I replied that if it couldn't be ready in twenty minutes, I would have been fine with half an hour or more (it was lunchtime). I paid for my order while she saying, If you don't understand how a restaurant works, then you shouldn't complain. When I tried to answer that, she made the hand sign of someone talking too much and yelled, Blah Blah Blah you're still complaining! At that point, I said to myself, F*ck that, in not paying $21 for 3 regular rolls, with a side of attitude, and asked for my money back, then left. I usually only get to-go orders from here because it seems really dirty inside. The floors are sticky which is strange (and gross). But now after switching to to-go orders for quite sometime I am highly disappointed. I called in a simple order of pho and was told '20 mins' so I show up in 30 mins (because I know they always take forever). Upon my arrival they tell me it isn't ready yet. I ask how long and am told 5-10 more minutes. I question this because it has been 30 mins since I placed the order and ask how much longer. The girl's response to me 'I mean I can't tell you how long it's gonna take!' Really Wasabi? This is probably my last time ordering (in or to go). read more

Generally unclean environment. The type of place that if you eat there you'll need to shower after because the scent lingers in your hair and clothes. I asked them to add cream cheese to my sushi roll and they placed chunks of cream cheese on an already sliced roll as if it were a bagel. It was the perfect analogy for the effort they put into their restaurant. read more

We stopped here after having to go to the emergency room down the street...it calmed all of us down with an absolutely delicious meal...best Pho noodles I have had since being up north in Cambridge...my son got the dragon roll which he devoured and my husband got the green curry which he raved about. This is my favorite place to go for sushi locally. Food is consistently excellent. They offer buy 2 get one rolls on Thursdays which is a good deal. The only issue is sometimes service is good and sometimes it's terrible. Depending on who is there. Usually ordering to go helps us enjoy our excellent sushi w out the frustration of it being a bad service night. read more

Sign posted in front of the sushi bar states that if you buy two sushi rolls on Monday and Wednesday that you get the third roll free. Since it was a Monday night we decided to order that third roll. When the bill came we asked about the charge for all three rolls and was told that it was an old sign. They never made any move to take down the sign while we were there. I wonder how many people they are ripping off thanks to their "outdated" sign in clear view. CROOKS! read more
