Good, Not Great SPECIALS: Went on Wednesday because their website advertises bogo sushi. When we arrived and asked about it, we were told that was pre-covid, the website hadn't been updated. The correct specials were posted on the window. FOOD: Ordered hibachi chicken and shrimp, Huntersville Roll and New York, New York rolls. My mom ordered a spicy tuna roll. Chicken in hibachi chicken wasn"t good but the rest of the hibachi was. Our rolls were quite large and tasted good. The spicy tuna roll was small and had a strange tasting red sauce on top - wouldn't order again. AMBIANCE: Very basic inside, was empty, rolls come on a large tray, everything else is in styrofoam. Maybe better for to go. PRICE: $45 before tip for the two rolls and hibachi not bad, but more than I expected because they didn't have their advertised bogo deal. SERVICE: The man who I assume was the owner was nice and our food was prepared within 10 minutes.

Our family likes their Chris rolls and C3 rolls, and they have the best sweet carrots! Our favorite, though, is the gyoza. Fantastic! The owner is always very friendly. It's a regular spot for us for takeout.

Drink cooler that i did not even see until i sat down

I saw a previous review that said they have the sweet glazed carrots so I checked it out for lunch. Place looked nice on the outside but be damned on the inside. Homie working the front, can you say hello when someone walks in? Can you not be so short and terse? This is a place where you get it to-go. Chose to dine in and was thinking things would come out on plates...WRONG.....gave us our food in togo boxes. No big deal. Entire restaurant was a mess honestly. Sticky tables, shrimp sauce was being portioned in the back of dining room but was just left sitting out for God knows how long. Terse guy at the front at some point ended up back there portioning out more sauces. Do you not have a prep space in the back? Their doordash/uber tablets all sit out in the already small dining room. Just a disorganized location. The food waa quick, the food was hot. Nothing wow about it. Chicken was good, shrimp sauce was iight, rice was good. It satisfied my craving for hibachi but i don't think I'll go back. I've had better hibachi and there is in CLT 5.3/10 final rating Food 4/5 Atmosphere: 1/5 Service: 3/5

Joanny Roll. Salmon and avocado. Edible but not good.

Well this was a terrible decision on my part. I wish I would have believed all the awful reviews. I hate leaving bad reviews but this one was a must. I had the seaweed salad and Joanny roll. The salad was disgusting. It smelled awful and was warm. I just threw away. The sushi roll was edible but in no way was it actually good. I won't be back.

Spring roll, baby size

I went here on Thursday around midday, I finally decided to give a shot. Pros: a few ppl eating in/outside The staff was nice Cons: When I ordered my items the staff did not tell me how long and walked away. Per the picture of the spring roll it was the size of my pinky The sushi tasted as it has been sitting in a refrigerator for some time

Rat Pack Roll

I ordered the Rat Pack Roll and Shrimp Tempura Roll. I was fine with not being able to get the special when I called in even though it was Friday but I wasn't expecting to pay $25 for these two rolls. $7.50 for Shrimp Tempura and $15.75 for basically the same roll with a small piece of eel put on top. An updated online menu would be helpful...

Juan Roll, Mohrmann Roll

This is a great little sushi spot with, almost always, consistent quality. I would only recommend going on Wednesday and Friday though, as those are the days that they do buy one get one sushi rolls. The sushi is great, and my go-to rolls are the Morhmann, Juan, and Fall Season rolls. I love that you can grab a bottle of eel sauce and bring it to your table. And I also love the baskets on each table with napkins, chopsticks, sauce cups, and soy sauce. The staff is a bit lacking, not super friendly. And the food takes a bit to come out typically, but we don't mind since we enjoy the laid back atmosphere. This place won't revolutionize sushi for you, but definitely a super solid choice if you're in the area on a Wednesday or Friday.

Honestly the hibachi was pretty tasty the sushi wasn't the best maybe it was my choice in sushi but I honestly wouldn't make a special trip like I did everyone raves about it like it was the best I've had better didn't taste fresh

Small establishment but the food is so good. Fast and easy to order online and even in person.

Align your expectations, this is not a fancy restaurant like Seaboy down the road or a greasy…read moreburger joint. Embrace it for what it is! My wife and I had each visited Japanese steakhouses like this before we met, but somehow neither of us had been to one during our 18 years together. Then we discovered Noboru! We enjoyed our first visit so much that we returned just two weeks later. It isn't overly fancy--it offers the classic Benihana-style experience, with the chef preparing everything directly in front of you--but the food is tender, flavorful, and filling. Of course, you also get dinner and a show! The service was spot-on during both visits. We were always well taken care of, and everyone was friendly, attentive, and welcoming. I ordered the larger filet dinner both times and didn't change a thing. When something is that good, why mess with it? My wife ordered the steak and shrimp during our first visit, but she enjoyed my filet so much that she upgraded to the filet and shrimp on our return. Quality cuts of meat, skillful preparation, excellent seasoning, friendly service, and an entertaining experience have made Noboru a new favorite in our restaurant rotation. We thoroughly enjoyed both visits, had no complaints whatsoever, and will absolutely be back very soon. To those about to nosh, we are jealous!

After about 10!minutes someone showed up, but we weren't seated until 7:15. The waitress came several minutes later and took our order. We had soup and salad then we waited 40 more minutes for the cook to finally show up! After being told several times that the cook was on the way - we left at 7:55! Bad management in my opinion.
