Selection: I got 3 roof quotes for some suspected moisture…read moreinvasion and roof issues discovered by another contractor. Both We Get High and V&K gave me around the same quote for a total roof replacement (around 8k, not including plywood prices) and Summit quoted me an eye watering 24k (including materials). I went with V&K for several reasons: - The two workers who arrived were knowledgeable about the roof, patiently looked at the areas I was most worried about, and called the office immediately to discuss their findings - I really enjoyed how attentive and quick the quote process was; Karol was great to work with - I was treated with respect as a female homeowner and nobody asked to speak to my husband (which is often times a problem) The results: From both a house inspection and other contractors, I knew that the roof I have was potentially not done by pros, and there were more problems than expected: - All the facia had to be replaced because of rotting and water ingress - The infrastructure underneath the plywood was shoddy/nonexistent and V&K added extensive plywood support underneath - They also did all the vents and flashing and the ... metal cover things underneath the eaves - The plywood costs were already going to cost around 4.5k but the additional facia costs were an unexpected addition. The total came to about 14k. I have a huge, flat-ish roof, and the price compared to other homeowners and people I spoke to, sounded about right. That said, Karol's team also replaced all my gutters with the facia and were incredibly considerate about all the other things I didn't even think to worry about, and I felt like they threw in a lot of things that were not explicitly charged (2x4 plywood for infrastructure etc) - You can hear each shingle nailed in with precisely 6 nails each - Karol supervised all the work carefully - They swept all the work area with magnets to make sure I wouldn't step on a rusty nail or pop a tire on them, I really appreciated the careful cleanup - Everyone was incredibly hard working and efficient, there were no long lulls or breaks for days so I didn't have to worry about the weather - The team documented all the roofwork in pictures so I can see what was done, when I get a chance I'll clean them of EXIF data and post it I'm very pleased with the job with the team and will be recommending them to all my neighbors. Also, as a security person I want to mention some older reviews where it looks like there were a few victims to impersonation scams--if you read my other reviews this has been happening to lots of legitimate businesses in the area, including two restaurants that I frequent. A few tips: - Always meet with contractors in person at least once - Have a signed contract and negotiate the work in detail - Check that the phone number you use for Zelle matches the yelp profile - Ask for proof of insurance--again, match the company you're working with, with the proof of insurance - Zelle payments will hold the funds for 3 business days, so pay the deposit immediately before workers arrive (and rescind payment if they delay--you can always pay them again later) - Be mindful of your monthly maximum for the Zelle payment (it's a rolling max so in the worst case scenario you wouldn't be able to finish paying for your whole roof replacement unless you use a second account, or a check) Is this fool proof? No, there will always be very smart conmen but I can attest that this is a legitimate business and they did legitimate (good quality) work for me.

Very convenient and quick! The work itself was fantastic, because my driveway was the black sheep of my cul de sac but it's all sparkly clean and white just like my neighbors. The work itself was done within an hour for anyone curious about the time they needed, but they were able to get it done while I was at work. As someone who places a premium on good value, efficiency, and quality work, this business has it in spades.

The price dramatically jumped but everything is more expensive so we were okay as we expected the great work. I will start with the positive - great job on the house and windows. What we have come to expect. That is where the positive ends. We also paid for the deck/porch area and that is just horrible. The most blatant is the mud piles that were once dirt left on the porch. Moving out to the deck there were a lot of areas missed. The most problematic was the bird poop only partially removed (so it didn't happen after they cleaned) and just lots of missing attention to detail. To complete the package they broke our door leading from the porch to the deck. When my wife notified them of the horrible work they wanted to come make it right - leaving all of my stuff from the porch out on the weather and rain another 24 hours. Then as the calls persisted we got a myriad of excuses why it was our fault - like we didn't ask for the porch (except we had spoken directly to Tilly on that topic). I should note that they were only at the house 90 minutes according to the time stamps on the ring doorbell. That's impressive to do a two-story house, windows, gutters, deck & porch. Anyway it devolved into them wanting us to pay more money to fix the problem they created - they could come and move everything for just a little more money - certainly this time they would get it right I should add that the gutters were not cleaned either - we didn't discover that until we had a hard rain a week later and the trash from the gutter fell out onto the deck. To add insult to the whole experience - they continue to do an absolutely horrendous job. So the door they broke - they've taken over a month to get a replacement (this is not a custom door - stock size). I never asked them to get the replacement as I feared it would also go poorly - I was right. I kept telling my wife to tell them not to replace the door . Today they came to replace the door - of course they do not get the correct size. So they removed the door without replacing - yet we need the door in place as we allow our pets on the porch. So they left & didn't replace the door, took the old door away so I couldn't put it back up but did leave all the trash. We are taking this as a lesson to not do business with them in the future. It only cost $800. The only positive in this whole endeavor is that they have not charged us yet.
