In March, we contracted with S&K to remodel our kitchen and lay down a new floor on our first…read morefloor. The delivery of kitchen cabinets were the primary driver to begin the process which were delivered in early April. The contract required the remodel to be completed between four and five weeks. On 22 April, the contractor began demolition which continued sparely throughout the week. On that Friday (25 April) we believed that the project would continue to move forward throughout the next week (the week of the 28th). Since no one showed up Monday morning, we contacted S&K and were told that nobody would be onsite Monday and Tuesday with no explanation. This practice continued off and on throughout the project which culminated in over 2 weeks of days when nothing was accomplished. This resulted in the period of performance to balloon from 4 to 5 to over 7 weeks. One of the outrageous claims was for 2 days that they didn't work because an unwarranted claim regarding my wife's heath. It appears that S&K is in need of significant improvement in the following areas: Communication: between the customer (not updating project process unless asked) and the S&K employees (arriving on site with no idea of current arrangements). Project Management: As described above, the project experienced many unproductive days. S&K does not seem to understand "project work arounds" when certain areas cannot be accomplished but other parts can. Quality Control: All project discrepancies/issues (plumbing, electrical and drywall) were identified by the customer and not S&K. S&K supervision never checked on site project status nor the quality of the work...both S&K and trade vendors.

This is the second time I have used Dennis for siding work at my home. The first time was a decade…read moreago and he did extensive trim work and all of the siding on my home. This old work still looks amazing. It has stood the test of time. This time Dennis and co. installed three heavy Walpole Woodworkers brackets and trellis poles over my garage door. One of the things I like most about working with these guys is that they are genuinely interested in doing the job right. His prices are very reasonable too. Finally, when I make choices about how I am going to get the work done (and my husband and I have had a lot of work done on our house over the years), there are some people that are just great and you look forward to seeing them again (the deal is- how often to you have siding work?) anyhow-Dennis is just one of these people he is smiling, kind, and conscientious. It was a big job, but absolutely everything is perfect! And, thanks to Danny's assistance, we were able to get our insurance company to assist with some of the cost due to a recent hail storm. Navigating insurance companies is a challenge, but Danny did it all... thank you! We have been happy since the first call to Moreno's. Danny returned our call and remained our primary point of contact until all was finished. There was no hand-off from the sales side to the project foreman.
