American Custom Concrete did our patio a few years ago and mentioned that I should have it resealed. It was looking dull so we scheduled the reseal. It happened today and OMG!! It looks amazing. Everyone worked together great, for the team that did the work to the office team that help make it happen. Thank you! It looks amazing and my next resealing appointment is already on my calendar!! :) read more

The work was satisfactory however I could never get the gift card that was offered to me. I called several times and was told it would be brought to me. I have yet to receive it after 90 days and counting. read more

Call them for an estimate to put a sealer on my landscape. They never showed up after waiting 2 weeks for someone to come by. I called them on the day of my appointment because they were late. I was told someone would come by to give an estimate. I waited several hours after my appointment time, still Noone showed up. I later got a text to reschedule. I wasn't going to wait another week for an estimate. I decided to look else where. read more

**Worst Experience Ever! Stay Away!** I can't express enough how terrible my experience with this company was. They engaged in the most deceptive business practices, and I would **never** recommend them to anyone. First off, they required me to pay **50% upfront** before doing any work, insisting on payment through **Cash App** or **Venmo**--which should have been a huge red flag. I trusted them and made the payment, but after that... **radio silence**. I didn't hear from them for a full **three weeks** after handing over the deposit. When I called to check on the status of the job, they didn't even know I had paid the deposit. Daniel had previously told me that they could get the job done within a couple of weeks, but now, **three weeks** had passed with no progress. Finally, after calling again, I was told the earliest they could do the job was almost **five weeks out**--and they already had my deposit. The owner, **Daniel**, came out to give the estimate and made all sorts of promises about how great the job would be. He even assured me he could **hide our electrical wiring**, which **never happened**. Before sending the deposit, I spoke to **Julie** at the office and emailed her a picture of what I wanted done. She confirmed it would be no problem and assured me she'd send the details over to Daniel. Everything seemed set, so I sent the **$2,500 deposit** via **Cash App**--huge mistake. When the crew finally showed up to do the work, **nobody knew anything about the design** I requested. I was told they could do it, but it would cost an **extra $700** because they needed to drive **10 miles** back to their shop to get a different stamp. A **10-mile trip** that would have taken **maybe 30 minutes** round-trip. They refused to work with us or compromise at all, making it clear that if I wanted the job done, I'd have to pay more. There was also NO consideration for the 60 square feet less that was not done. The patio was quoted at 15x16 and what was done was 15x12. The staff and owner was unwilling to do anything to help resolve the issue. As a homeowner, you're left feeling completely **screwed**. They had already taken my **$2,500** through Cash App, and I knew I wasn't getting it back. It's impossible to dispute or get a refund once money is sent that way, and they know it. Do yourself a favor--**avoid this company** at all costs. They have no regard for customer satisfaction and will **take advantage of you** the moment they have your money!!! read more

I have just completed my second project with American Custom Hardscapes. First was a pool deck and this one was a foundation and slab for an addition. From my very first contact, Daniel, Cheryl and Julie have been extremely responsive and professional. They did exactly what they promised and provided a high level of customer service. The onsite teams were nothing short of a machine! They arrived a few minutes before the scheduled time, jumped right on to the task, and delivered great products. The site was left clean and ready for the next steps. There are a lot of companies out there that does this type of work. After my initial experience with the American Custom Hardscapes team, I didn't even competitively bid the second job. I just reached out and awarded it to them knowing it would be done right, on time and with high quality. Thank you all again for another great project! read more

After moving into our new home the only thing lacking was a back patio that was adequate to sit and bar-b-que on. The original patio had a sun room addition built over the patio which only left a patio of 3' by 11'. Out of all the estimates we received, American Custom Hardscapes was the most reasonable. And what really stood out was the estimators ideas on how the patio could be constructed to blend in with the existing patio. Once the construction commenced everything fell into place perfectly. As the lead workers stated for all of them, "I want you to be very proud of this patio and I'm making it as though it was my own." I can not say enough about how happy we are with the completed project and would not hesitate to highly recommend American Custom Hardscapes. Michael and Terry Akridge read more

Awesome job. If you would like to see details on what they accomplished, check out "Simply Sammie" on YouTube.

The team at American Custom Concrete are the best. They are very responsive and professional. The work they do speaks for itself but it is the work you don't see that is so appreciated. They respond quickly to all inquiries and their team is respectful of your home and property. When they are finished you never even know they were there, they just leave your home looking more beautiful then when they started. Thank you Daniel, Cheryl, Melissa and team! read more

Infuriating experience. I'm a retired Army Construction Engineer Officer so I have some experience in this industry. Upon seeing the beautiful photos of their work I called for a quote. When Daniel the owner stopped by he seemed knowledgeable and likable and so I hired him to reseal my 2 yo stamped/colorized patio. He noticed my front walkway was stamped but much older and offered to colorize it to match then seal it as well. His cost was 25% of the other quote I received @ $740 and he asked for 1/2 down as a deposit. After a few days I didn't hear from anyone about scheduling so called them. A female answered and complained she was the only one there doing everything but did schedule me for the following Monday/Tuesday (powerspray, then next day strip and reseal). Both days passed and nothing. Not a call and no show. The office staff were confused and said neither Daniel nor the reseal team were responding to them so they had no information. Thursday evening I caught Daniel at home on his cell. He had no idea his team never came. He promised to call me at 8:00 AM the next morning. Then nothing. I went back and forth with the young ladies in the office who still had no information so I cancelled their service. The next day one of them emailed that Daniel said my deposit was non-refundable and the scheduled dates were tentative! Of course there is no language about any of this on his simple one page "contract". I held my tongue until my bank confirmed I could stop payment on the check with no fee which I immediately did. I wrote back to the office staff that they were fired and never to contact me again. But they did! I actually felt bad for them as their boss obviously has no sense of responsibility to his customers or to them which I found odd as they all seemed quite capable. Weeks later I received my check back in the mail with a letter of apology. This is so typical for this area which is why I went clear to Stafford but to no avail. Also odd is he has at least three similar businesses with different names that I felt he used to hide his poor service. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend them and must start from scratch again. read more

Professional service personnel. Stamped concrete patio done just as we wanted. Highly recommended read more

Since the company wants to delete my comment on google reviews, I'll post my review on here... We set up an appointment to get an estimate on a large project that included: Stamped concrete, retention wall, and other amenities (Outdoor grill, fire pits, etc). We spent over an hour talking about what we wanted, and even provided a picture of what our vision entailed. Communication was great up until they were to provide us with a quote. Our appointment was June 23rd. We were promised a quote within the next couple days, as he "had to speak with his architect." Come the week of July 4th, my husband ended up contacting the company, as we had not heard from them. They had promised to provide us a quote within the week, as they "have been busy." My husband ended up calling them yet again, to just hear the same excuse as before. This goes back and forth 2 more times. 5 weeks later, we have finally given up on the company. Its unfortunate that they didn't even have the audacity to call us back, as we would have been a long time customer, with big projects to complete. Not only was this a waste of our time, but it also prolonged the time that it's going to take to bring in another company who actually cares and wants our business. The professionalism within this company leaves much to be desired. read more

I would really like to submit a review of the company, but after them failing to show for the appointment, there is really not much to review. I attempted to contact the company several times after their estimator failed to show for the appointment, to no avail. Quite unprofessional and inconsiderate as I had to take a day off of work to meet with the estimator. This is truly disappointing as I looked forward to having them do some concrete work for our yard. The company has numerous fantastic reviews and I believe that they do great work, but the first step is to show up for an appointment. read more

Daniel/American Custom Hardscape has been great. I had my patio completed as two seperate projects but I was impressed both times. It was completed to my satisfaction, and at the cost was really competitive. As my project was beginning and I saw the area I'd designed, it seemed smaller than I desired. Although I was the one to complete the design yet wanted the patio larger, Daniel obliged and charged a minimal cost. I also added a sitting wall at the end and he had no problem with that. They are a great team to have in my contact list. I highly recommend them and will definitely use them again for my retaining wall! read more

Reliable and Reasonable! Daniel and his crew were right on time and professional. They kept the area really neat and the finished product was just what we had hoped for and more. They enlarged our existing patio and added an accurate compass medallion; extended our existing wall and turned the entire wall into a work of art; and then added the concrete walkway from the driveway to the patio. We hired them back to put the pad in for our large shed. I plan to hire them any time we have a need for concrete work. Highly recommend. read more

We hired Dream Builders of VA to build us a deck and patio that we paid over $89,000 for and they hired American Custom Hardscapes as a subcontractor to do brick column work for the patio. If you value your time this company is not for you! They never showed up for a scheduled estimate. Daniel's team (especially Joey!) did a great job building a stamped concrete patio, path, and fire-pit area. They were challenged to match an existing stamped concrete area, which was done by another contractor. The match is extremely good, and the concrete job was very well done. Small details, like going back over the stamped areas to touch up any imperfections, made this second job much nicer than my previous contractor's work. Very competitively priced, on schedule, and thorough. I highly recommend them. read more

We are so glad we called Daniel and American Hardscapes. What great company! We found them on a google search and some research. We took a chance. And boy did we get lucky. Daniel showed up within a couple of days for the estimate. When work started the crew showed up as promised, and finished a huge job in under three days. They added steps and two large patios in our yard. All were graded perfectly, and look fantastic. I cant believe how much concrete was poured! Amazing. Everyone who has seen the work compliments the job. They stand by their work. The job came out better than I imagined, and Daniel was able to see our vision of what we were tryin to do with the yard and the property. They addressed all of our concerns. I highly recommend this company. They do amazing work at a fantastically fair price. read more
