UPDATE TO BELOW REVIEW: Just got a phone call from the…read morebusiness owner demanding I retract this review and that he didn't have the time to return every call. Among the things he called me was "fucking idiot" and "coward." He also wanted to "meet" me somewhere. ORIGINAL REVIEW: We needed some major repairs to our deck railings which were in danger of coming apart. After searching Yelp and Google, we came across this business and it looked as if they were exactly what we needed. Their website specifically mentioned no job too big or small and that they specialized in the type of repair we needed done. Based on the positive reviews on Yelp, we really wanted to hire them. So, on the morning of September 3rd, we called and left a message on their answering machine giving them our name, phone number and a very brief message about what we needed done. Unfortunately, we're still waiting for a return call. The good news is that we got the repairs done this week by another contractor we had used in the past for other things. Sorry to say, it appears this company is out of business. It's too bad; it looks like they did good work.

Boy are we glad we found Mike Crute to deal with on our project!…read more We needed our front steps re-done due to the previous home owners using deck over paint on the original brick. Unfortunately none of it could be saved..not even the concrete pad due to moisture getting underneath it all. We looked around for different Masonry businesses and luckily we found Crute's Custom Brick. The business was conveniently located near our home and photos of previous work done is always great to see (along with great reviews of course). Mike came out and listened to what we were looking to do, got a few sample bricks to bring out for us to choose a style, and once we said good to go...he started the next day! Mike is an extremely hard worker, courteous, and extremely communicative throughout the whole process. He takes his time to make sure everything is done right and points out anything that may seem out of the ordinary. The end result was fabulous and we will definitely use his services again. I highly recommend Crute's Custom Brick to anyone. Yes, it's a small business but we are huge supporters of small businesses especially when excellent customer service is displayed.

The driveway is fine, but the experience was challenging. Details: We hired George Paving for a…read morefull driveway replacement. The project included removing the old asphalt and installing a new base and asphalt layer. There were some delays in starting the project, and during the work we were informed there was more asphalt from our old driveway to be removed than originally estimated, resulting in an additional $3,000 cost. After completion, we noticed a small area of the new driveway where the asphalt had an imperfection - a small area was crumbling. We documented the issue with photos and called Immanuel to ask not just about repairing it, but also to learn what might have caused it, and how could we prevent it going forward. So we were looking for guidance as new driveway owners. However, what we thought was a small issue escalated unexpectedly because Immanuel responded in a very defensive and aggressive manner. It left us with the impression he wasn't at all interested in looking after the customer after the initial work was done and payment received. So the work was of decent quality and a good value, but the communications were problematic. We would have appreciated more collaborative and solution-focused communication. UPDATE May 18: The day after this initial review was posted, Immanuel contacted us. In a few days he was able to come by and fix the small area and answer our questions in a short time, which is all we wanted in the first place. We parted peacefully, but we'll hire another contractor to do our next sealing and maintenance visits.

I had a vision on what I wanted to have done, but I wasn't sure how to put it all together. Jesus came by, I told him what I wanted but, my vision I pitched to him was a little blurry and the slope in my yard made what I wanted a bit challenging. After talking to him, he gave me some ideas on how to proceed with my hardscaping. I told him I had planned to have two other contractors to come over and wanted the work done for cheap after he gave me his quote. Jesus understood and respecfully looked me in the eyes and said, he understood and if I wanted the work done for cheap and cut corners, to use the other contractors; he will not cut corners if his company was to do any work on my yard. From this statement, I knew he stood by his product and meant business. An hour after he left, I called and canceled the survey from the two other contractors, I called Jesus and asked when can he start? This is one of the best decisions my wife and I made!!!!!!!!!! The money I spent was well worth it. I plan to have more work after the winter, I will give Jesus my vision and let him run with what he thinks would look best for my hardscaping. Jesus if you read this post be prepared to know I will still haggle you with the price. Thank you and Elizabeth for working with my family..... See you again next spring.
