When I was ready to do a good overhaul, someone told me to call James House Paving. And he warned me - "this guy is busy, but he is good people to work with." I think he was absolutely right. James and his crew were well organized and highly professional on my little strip of driveway - they brought in enough equipment to do an exit-ramp on I-95! You could not help but be impressed, especially with all the guys just knowing what needed to be done next. The price was good and they were completely finished including cleanup and recovery before 5pm. They really did a great job and I cannot recommend them highly enough.

This was basically a tub replacement ,mbing pluand new floor, (End cost $16k) First their salesman was smooth but not technically knowlegable, the quote was very vague," its implied in the contract" was his response to when we would ask specifics..... What was supposed to be a 3 day job ended up being 3 weeks. There were too many call backs to count. The communication (or lack thereof) with their Project Manager was terrible. The worker who did the work had an attitude from the start. The sub contractors they sent did not do what Fletcher had proposed and then wanted more money. They made us sign a Change Order to cover work that was already supposed to be covered (Replacing Subfloor) Then charged us $160 each for four sheets of floor underlayment. (Less than $50 sheet at Lowes) Water overflowed and damaged kitchen ceiling (another sub to fix) Installed Medicine cabinet that would not open due to hitting sink faucet. Construction debris sat in driveway for 3 weeks. Dismal Project Management, awful communication, HIGH Price. Dont use Fletcher !

Everything was great until it wasn't... The company repaired a parallel crack that almost ran…read moreacross the length of the ceiling in my townhouse. They also repainted the ceiling. A little while later, a single crack reappeared. I contacted the company via the form and waited about a week. I then contacted the company via the email on the website and the owner's email. Still no reply. Mind you it took 4 hours to respond to my very first email asking them to do the job. I only received a phone call on 14 July after I posted a Google review about the poor workmanship/non-response/defects. I volunteered to remove the original Google review and was told someone would call the week of 18 July to come take a look. On 18 July, the owner agreed via email to 3:00 on Wednesday 20 July. I get an email at 5:09 that day apologizing for not stopping by. Fine. This is not life or death right? I agreed to reschedule for the same time on Friday 22 July. It is now almost 6:00. No text, no phone call, no email, no show. Thankfully I am teleworking, but what if I took time off from work?! I DO NOT recommend this company. I thought I was being more than considerate/reasonable/flexible because things come up, traffic is horrendous, etc. but this is beyond unprofessional. If you do go with this company, PLEASE ask about any warranties or guarantees for their work. Now I have to pay more $$ to fix the issue.

In March, we contracted with S&K to remodel our kitchen and lay down a new floor on our first…read morefloor. The delivery of kitchen cabinets were the primary driver to begin the process which were delivered in early April. The contract required the remodel to be completed between four and five weeks. On 22 April, the contractor began demolition which continued sparely throughout the week. On that Friday (25 April) we believed that the project would continue to move forward throughout the next week (the week of the 28th). Since no one showed up Monday morning, we contacted S&K and were told that nobody would be onsite Monday and Tuesday with no explanation. This practice continued off and on throughout the project which culminated in over 2 weeks of days when nothing was accomplished. This resulted in the period of performance to balloon from 4 to 5 to over 7 weeks. One of the outrageous claims was for 2 days that they didn't work because an unwarranted claim regarding my wife's heath. It appears that S&K is in need of significant improvement in the following areas: Communication: between the customer (not updating project process unless asked) and the S&K employees (arriving on site with no idea of current arrangements). Project Management: As described above, the project experienced many unproductive days. S&K does not seem to understand "project work arounds" when certain areas cannot be accomplished but other parts can. Quality Control: All project discrepancies/issues (plumbing, electrical and drywall) were identified by the customer and not S&K. S&K supervision never checked on site project status nor the quality of the work...both S&K and trade vendors.
