The driveway is fine, but the experience was challenging. Details: We hired George Paving for a full driveway replacement. The project included removing the old asphalt and installing a new base and asphalt layer. There were some delays in starting the project, and during the work we were informed there was more asphalt from our old driveway to be removed than originally estimated, resulting in an additional $3,000 cost. After completion, we noticed a small area of the new driveway where the asphalt had an imperfection - a small area was crumbling. We documented the issue with photos and called Immanuel to ask not just about repairing it, but also to learn what might have caused it, and how could we prevent it going forward. So we were looking for guidance as new driveway owners. However, what we thought was a small issue escalated unexpectedly because Immanuel responded in a very defensive and aggressive manner. It left us with the impression he wasn't at all interested in looking after the customer after the initial work was done and payment received. So the work was of decent quality and a good value, but the communications were problematic. We would have appreciated more collaborative and solution-focused communication. UPDATE May 18: The day after this initial review was posted, Immanuel contacted us. In a few days he was able to come by and fix the small area and answer our questions in a short time, which is all we wanted in the first place. We parted peacefully, but we'll hire another contractor to do our next sealing and maintenance visits. read more

Paul, I just read ur response and you are a liar. I never blocked your number and you NEVER called me. I was told by ur son that I would get the driveway sealed if I took my negative review down. Your son canceled on me twice then never rescheduled or responded back to me after I said I wanted it put in the contract that a driveway sealer was going to be used and not just an oil. My grandfather hired George Paving to put in a new driveway. The work itself was quality and completed in a timely, efficient manner. However, one of the men--who I later learned is actually the co-owner--was completely unprofessional. Before they even began working, as they were unloading equipment, he was yelling profanities and name-calling at who knows who. Later, after tearing out the old driveway, they carved a dip where the driveway meets the walkway, apparently trying to make it level--which wasn't how it was originally, and not what my grandfather wanted. When my grandfather brought this up, the man got an attitude and mouthed off to him to the point that my grandfather had to threaten to have them removed. They did eventually finish the job as expected. Again, the work was solid and the price was fair, but that kind of attitude has no place on any job site--especially at someone's home. I'm sure there are plenty of other paving businesses that can offer the same quality and value with a lot more professionalism. read more

George Paving came out same day for Quote and was patient while I had others give quotes as well. The amount they charged for deposit was a bit LARGE so I was very skeptical. Other companies were willing to do the job with no deposit at all. Emanuel was happy to answer my questions and even when he was at my property to sign the contract and collect the LARGE deposit.... he was careful to explain and reassure me. It has been four days since the job was completed and I am happy with the driveway. We hired George Paving to asphalt the driveway. He did a poor job leaving the driveway dirty and missing some spot had stones all around the edges and he took advantage on my knowledge After he finished he said that you need to reseal your driveway. I ended up paying more. George said he would come one day When he is in the area to fix the issue. It's been more than a month. I kept calling him and he was not polite. I don't trust the two year warranty as Sonia said in her review.I would not recommend this company at all because they lie and not professional, I would rather pay more and have a great service than this crap business. The owner was good about communicating with me and kept me updated on delays (only due to rain). The job was completed on time and I was pleased with the results. One day I was driving out of the neighborhood when I spotted 3 driveways in a row, further up my street, all having fresh asphalt. The third of these was in process. I needed mine done and was gathering quotes that same week. So I stopped and asked for a business card. The owner was onsite and offered to come over right that minute and give me a quote. His price was the best of what I had received. I signed a contract on the spot and I am really happy with the work they did. I've had multiple people stop me when I have been in my yard asking for the contact info of the company who did the driveway. Even before he started I knew he was a professional. He came out and inspected the work to be done. Prepared a formal offer. We scheduled a day and time for George Paving to sealcoat our driveway. The night before, we received an email from them stating that they had to cancel due to a family issue. After a few days of not hearing further from George Paving, we called another company: their estimate was significantly lower at $106 instead of $300. Consequently, we scheduled this other company to sealcoat our driveway one week later. About 10 days after they cancelled on us, George Paving called to reschedule. After a couple of days of missing each other's phone calls, I sent George Paving an email to say that we decided to go with another company. George Paving responded with a spiteful email accusing us of wasting their time. read more

George Paving recently paved my 300 foot long driveway. I was very pleased with the results. Their price was good and they did a good job. They were careful about preparing the surface well and did a good job filling some significant cracks. They did a great job being cautious around the edge of the house. I would recommend them! Our experience with George Paving was horrible. George Paving tried to change the terms of the contract in the middle of the job and then bully me when I refused to change the terms of the contract. George Paving walked off the job, leaving my back yard ruined and my driveway a mess. This company tried to defraud me for over $4,000. Christopher George did my driveway and he did great work. He is very skilled in his trade. He did everything I asked for and he did a little extra like level out parts of my yard and add top soil to the sides. He was also very careful around my fiber line. I love my driveway!
