Today is the coldest day of the year. Despite saying that they are open 24/7 for emergencies, I have been trying to get in touch with them since 8AM. Here is what has happened: 1. The Tullahoma number hangs up on you as soon as it gets through the "Your call might be recorded" message. 2. The main number for the Murfreesboro office doesn't have anyone answering the phone 3. The online chat to get in touch with someone has no agents manning it and all of the chats end with no response 4. Their physical office, despite saying they are open 7:30AM to 4:30PM on Sundays, is closed and locked and no one is there. Do not depend on Roscoe Brown because their "repairs" last barely two week and then they will NOT respond to you in an emergency. Use literally ANYONE else.

Suggested I have a test done where dye is injected to see where the leak was. Cost $150... suggested to wait a while for the dye to circulate. About 30 days later I contacted them stating that the unit was continuously running and not shutting off. Tech came out and diagnosed the evaporator coil was bad but under warranty. The cost of labor is $1.050 to replace a part under warranty. How does this make sense. Help me understand this.

I was told "Absolutely, we will come to McMinnville to get you taken care of." I scheduled an appointment and was expecting them to send a technician out to the house. To my surprise, the owner of Dixie Mechanical himself showed up to my house, shook my hand, thanked me for calling his company and started cleaning my air unit right away. Not only did he service everything, he told me exactly what he was doing as he was doing it. He pointed out that my inside coil was filthy. He took the time to clean the coil for just a few extra bucks. He told me it would make my unit run more efficiently. Let me tell you folks, this guy knows his stuff. My air unit hasn't put out this much air flow in years. Philip Davis shoots you straight and lets you decide what level of service you want to pay for. It's nice knowing there's someone out there that won't trump up a bunch of surprise charges on you, only to tell you your service charge is more than you had initially been told. I can say from personal experience, Dixie Mechanical was upfront with me, professional, courteous and honest. That's a set of characteristics hard to find in a company these days. I've already made plans for them to come back and service my unit next spring. If you need your air unit serviced, I would recommend these guys to anyone. -J. Shrum McMinnville, Tennessee

1-Star Review - Extremely Disappointed…read more I've been dealing with Shelton Heating and Air for almost three years, and I cannot express enough how disappointing the experience has been. Since the day they installed the upstairs AC unit, it has been nothing but problems. It continuously pours water and fails to cool properly. They have been out multiple times over the years, yet the issue is never truly fixed. Each time, they claim it's resolved--only for the same problem to return. Most recently, they said the tubing was clogged and supposedly fixed it. Within hours, the unit is now pouring water even worse than before. This company does not stand by their work, and their "repairs" are just temporary band-aids that never last. Save yourself the stress and money--DO NOT use them for installation or service. STAY AWAY!!!

What once appeared to have potential as a good service company has become worthless…read more We had them come out to replace one of our two heat pumps. They replaced it and forget to put in the p trap. They came out to fix that and tried to charge us, no sir. Then we figured out they never vented it! It's never really worked effectively and now, just two years in, it's barely cooling at all. Our other heat pump that's older needed a fan motor, they replaced it, didn't tighten it, and it destroyed the fan. They came out, replaced it (after we waited awhile), and my husband had to stand there and babysit instruct the tech. Call them to make an appt? Good luck! Email, they "didn't get anything." Use the website, no response, never received that either. On the website it says, "Honest, dependable and quality workmanship..." WHEN?! We don't look forward to battling them over whatever they messed up this time, but we give up!
