Well, after a lot of money and it was over things started to go very wrong. We still, 2.5 yrs later, find issues. The first was a few months after finishing, the exterior wall started to buckle in places, on the new garage as well as addition. Mr. Arnold told us that is what unseasoned wood does. God made the wood, he, Mr. Arnold did not. The wall behind the exterior wall is visible and Mr. Arnold said it is environmental and cosmetic. Not sure how that is possible. With enough rain, this will become a structural issue. The front door either sticks or doesn't shut, depending on the season. The inside floor of the addition they put in buckles. The windows, which they installed, weep and this past year, produce snow inside the window. Mr. Arnolds response...it is my fault due to the way I heat my house as well as environmental, there is a lot of moisture underneath. Where lights were installed on the patio area, there are 1inch gaps for the bugs to get in. The patio is not sealed, so bugs get in there. Lots of gaps all around the house, siding, for rain and bugs to get through. Have been in contact since the beginning with them. Had some very unpleasant conversations with Mr. Arnold who has taken no responsibility for any of it. His son became my main point of contact, who is polite, but still never fixed any of the issues. Did try to fix some, but the problem still exists. They say they have done all they can for us. Now we are stuck trying to fix the problems before my house starts to rot from the inside out. One contractor recommends demolishing the addition and starting over. With the moisture that Skill said is there, they made the crawl space to short. We are looking at possible litigation. Problem is, in his contract, under arbitration, it states something to the affect that any litigation must be paid by the homeowner regardless of the outcome for all parties. I don't know how this man has stayed in business this long. He must have done things right with many people and must have seen SUCKER written on our faces. I cannot suggest strongly enough, to anyone dealing with contractors, read the fine print, ask the tough questions and hold them accountable right away, do not let them drag out the process so you are stuck with warranty running out.

Even gave me samples and addresses of homes with different stone that i was considering so i could be sure of my decision. The work was beautiful and I have been very happy. Next he installed a new roof for us. Once again very patient (I take a little time to make decisions) gave us samples of roof colors and because of rain, they could not start and a room upstairs had some water damage. He fixed that with no problem. the roof has been great and couldn't believe how much a difference a different color on my house would look like! He has been so nice and given us tips and help with other issues in our house. He even told my husband how to fix the birds in the attic issue and let him borrow some shoes to walk on our roof and not fall. He is a good, honest, Christian man and i would highly recommend. His son is very nice and well mannered also. If I have another project...I will use him. Great contractors are hard to come by..and he is certainly one of them!
