I hired Emmett to put in a retractable screen door. Purchased the door from Home Depot and it had…read moreto be custom made due to the sliding door was smaller than the average door. Emmett gave me the measurements then once he went to install it he said it was the wrong size. He told me not to worry he could take it back to his shop and fix it. He left and didnt return for 2 months. He was leaving to go to Las Vegas so he showed up with his assistant and then left for the assistant to do the install. The assistant couldn't get the door in right so Emmett had to come back and between the two of them they said it was completed. This was July, once it was finally cool enough for me to use the door I opened it and found the screen wasn't right. It is hard to close and it doesn't retract back as it should. I paid 424.00 for a custom screen door and he charged me 1,200.00 to install. When I texted him that the door wasn't working he didn't respond. He was camping and couldn't be bothered. He finally showed up to look at it and said oh this is not my problem it is a Home Depot problem. Of course Home Depot won't touch it because Emmett fixed it. I wouldn't recommend this guy to work on anything in your house. He definitely doesn't stand behind his work and he over charges for subpar workmanship,

He was a very nice guy, easy to communicate with, and we trusted him as the expert when he advised that grinding or using a pre-primer wouldn't be necessary for our floor. Unfortunately, the results were disappointing. The floor looked terrible and the texture was uneven throughout. While he mentioned having done this process successfully many times before, no grinding for preparation of the floor and not using primer left us mislead and was absolutely the wrong choice in our case and we're now left needing to pay someone else to completely redo it. We asked for a partial refund on labor, as we followed his guidance and the outcome was a floor that's now unusable. He did provide a $100 refund, but it didn't reflect the cost of correcting the damage or the overall experience. If you're considering a similar project, I would recommend confirming the full prep process including grinding and priming with a second professional opinion and save yourself the time and money of having the job done twice

I was extremely impressed with the service I received. Mike arrived on time, and was very polite and professional. He quickly diagnosed the issues that I had. Not only did he do a fantastic job, but he also offered some helpful advice on how to prevent future problems. He also was able to get a licensed roofer out, who confirmed his suspicions! They worked on this issue together and knew exactly what the problem was. The quality of his work was top-notch, and he even made sure to take garbage bags full of moldy, soaking wet insulation and drywall out. I was thoroughly impressed by the level of expertise and professionalism that he displayed. Mike also gave me advice on how to deal with my HOA that refuses to take responsibility for the damage done to my home due to maintenance negligence. He made me feel that I'm not alone in it. I would highly recommend him to anyone in need of home repair services. He is reliable, skilled, and more importantly, he showed genuine interest in helping me solve the problem rather than trying to sell services. The world needs more Mikes!
