I have used Parker Heating and Cooling several times over the years for routine HVAC service and maintenance, and I have always been impressed with their knowledge, professionalism, and quality of work. When my HVAC system failed, they were the first company I called. They responded promptly, confirmed that my unit needed to be replaced, and provided an estimate. I obtained a couple of additional quotes for comparison, and Parker's estimate was by far the highest. Even so, because of my positive experiences with them in the past, I chose to move forward with their installation. I was without heating and cooling for approximately two weeks while waiting for my scheduled installation. The day before the installation, I was contacted and informed that it would need to be postponed by two additional days because another customer's installation had not been completed, leaving that customer without service. While the delay was inconvenient, I understood the situation. The installation itself was completed professionally, and I was very pleased with the quality of the workmanship. Unfortunately, my experience after the installation has been extremely disappointing. Mike with Parker Heating and Cooling informed me that I qualified for two separate rebates based on my new system and assured me that he would complete and submit all of the required paperwork on my behalf. It has now been more than three months since the installation, and I have received no information or updates regarding either rebate. I have attempted to contact Mike several times, but he has not returned my calls. While I have no complaints about the quality of the installation or the technical expertise of the company, customer service after the sale is just as important. Failing to follow through on promised rebate paperwork and then refusing to communicate with a customer has left me very disappointed. Because of this experience, I cannot recommend Parker Heating and Cooling despite the quality of their installation work. read more

I have been a loyal customer for the past 12 years to Parker's Heating and Air. one of my ducts came off one of my floor registers. I made an appointment fully expecting it to be fixed and someone just showed up to give an estimate. The estimate to fix this one piece of duct was exorbitant! shockingly expensive. On top of that I was told this was a deal because I would have to wait to have a floater come and fix it. I can't imagine what the price would have been if I had told him I wanted it fixed as soon as possible. I called another company told them the issue, they told me they could have someone out the next day because this issue did not need to wait (did not tell them anything about Parker's)within five minutes this company called me back and told me they would have somebody out within 2 hours. When the person arrived I actually thought they were just here to give me an estimate. He said no ma'am I am here to give an estimate and to fix the problem. The estimate was less than half the cost of Parker's Heating And Air! Plus not only did he fix my issue. He also looked at my HVAC unit to ensure everything was working good. I will never use Parker's Heating And Air again! They went from being a small family owned company to now all about the dollar. read more

Over the years of homeownership, I've dealt with many small business HVAC companies but this one is by far the best ever. They have prompt, courteous, professional service. I stated with their maintenance package a year ago to see how well they worked and this year I was able to get a VERY old (30+ years) unit replaced without breaking the bank. They were upfront and honest about our needs during the maintenance appointments. They answered my questions to make sure that I made an informed decision when it came time to discuss the new system. I highly recommend Parker's for all your HVAC concerns--maintenance or a new unit. They are thorough and stand by their work. read more

The receptionist fit me in for a cleaning quickly! The technician was polite, friendly and very knowledgeable. Price for Spring/Fall tune ups was very reasonable. I look forward to working with them when it's time to replace! *update* While getting estimates for replacement due to what we thought was a leak (the tech could not get to the upstairs unit, my fault), the owner came over to work on the estimate and he immediately discovered that it was not a leak, but the upstairs units door was off (likely done during the house inspection) Now, mind you that we were ready to replace and spend mucho bucks but with the honesty from the owner, it didn't happen. Within 24 hours my house was back down to a balmy 70 degrees! Something we had not seen since the purchase 2 years ago! 86 was the normal mid afternoon range! I am very, very thankful to Parkers!! read more

Our water heater decided one day to only give us 3 gallons of hot water every shower. This doesn't fare well at my house, so I called Parker's Heating Cooling and Plumbing to see if this is something they can fix. I spoke to a young lady who was pleasant to speak with, and she got ahold of one of her servicemen, John. John did not have the parts needed as it was past 9:00pm and they couldn't get the parts cause the stores were closed. No biggie. I gave him some available hours for the next day and he diligently called me around the time agreed upon and he was just wrapping up a job and would be right over. When he got here, he had his testing equipment and tested the parts on my water heater, and crunched some numbers and gave me a quote. As he was working he showed me the failing parts and explained how and why the parts failed, and continued on working. Soon as he finished, he waited for awhile to make sure everything was working properly. This morning I purposely took the longest shower I could without experiencing any loss in hot water. I'm pretty happy, and the repair didn't break the bank. Good, honest people, these guys. read more

My HVAC unit went out just before Labor Day weekend and i was stressing about it. A friend referred me to Parker's so I gave them a call for a quote. Josh came out quickly to take a look and give me a quote. He was professional and easy to chat with. He gave me some clear options and didn't get pushy about up selling me on anything. I ultimately went with a cheaper model and a payment plan (18 mo no interest). They were nice enough to loan me a new portable AC unit to get me through the weekend at no extra charge, this was a lifesaver! The two gents who did the install were excellent as well, they wore masks and took proper safety precautions, were respectful of my house and property, and did a great job explaining the process. Great price, professional and efficient service. I have absolutely zero complaints - highly recommend! read more

While Parker's HVAC has excellent technicians, the ownership leaves A LOT to be desired when it comes to residential customer service! We were scheduled to have a repair to our A/C unit but unfortunately, the parts distributor gave the technician the wrong part which was discovered after the work was started. The technician then had to put everything back in place in order for us to be able to use the A/C. The next day when my partner spoke directly with one of the owners, he had no concern for the fact that she had lost a full day's income waiting for the technician to arrive and I had lost half a day's pay waiting for him to arrive 2 days earlier to attempt to repair the unit. We only wanted to know how we could avoid this happening again and prevent ALL parties from any further loss of income! His only concern was his loss. He also complained the mistake wasn't his fault and failed to attempt a solution to prevent this from happening again! Plus, when a technician does a diagnostic assessment, it's generally understood the diagnostic fee is waived if they do the work. Not with this company! Before we could even get to scheduling the technician to come back out, the owner was already complaining we hadn't paid the diagnostic fee, which the technician told us he wasn't charging and wasn't able to arrive at my home until 4pm which resulted in a higher fee! This could have been so much easier to resolve if the owner had taken a breath and considered the fact that the customers were losing income and the difficulty involved in getting time off from work to get the repair accomplished. Maybe if he had suggested the repair could be done on a weekend day this would've resolved smoothly and I HAD been planning to purchase Parker's HVAC's maintenance plan based on the professionalism of his technician in a VERY difficult situation. Right after my partner's conversation with the owner he IMMEDIATELY mailed out a bill for $129.00 (The postage meter confirms when it was mailed) for the diagnostic visit. This feels RETALIATORY and JUVENILE! So much for preserving goodwill with customers! read more

Parker's HVAC failed to do a thorough inspection for home inspection. I lost negotiation power and lost my chance to walk out from contract agreement. The heater died shortly after moving into the house. On top of that, the technician didnt find gas leak on the report that actually occured. If my lawyer friend were in TN, I would proceed this case to courthouse. read more

Technician Jim came to our home to assist with a heating issue we were having with our brand new unit. We've had several different companies come out and none could find the issue. Jim knew within minutes what the problem was and had it corrected in just a few more minutes. He was polite, quick, professional, and really knew what he was doing. We have had zero problems since he came out, and I could not be happier with the service provided by Parkers. We will continue to use this company any time we have heating/cooling issues. I called in the morning, and they were able to work me in within just a few hours, so thankfully we weren't cold for long. If you're looking for the best HVAC company in middle Tennessee, Parkers is it. I found the company from reading online reviews, and am now thankfully able to leave one of my own. read more

I called about a plumbing repair to a water heater. Parkers does not do plumbing repairs anymore.

I want to give a big thank you to Josh Parker and his crew for replacing our heat and air unit. We had been struggling with another company in Donelson and they did not fix the problem so we bought a new unit from Parkers and the guys were here and did a wonderful job. I would rate 1/2 star actually. The technician was overworked and came to my service appt 30min later than the window promised and then took 2 emergency calls before 5 pm before he could even begin my scheduled repair for which I took the entire day off to accommodate. He gets everything disassembled and finds he has the wrong part. Wasting everyone's time and repair not made. Left at 7 pm. Contacted office 7:30 the following day to speak with owner on how to avoid this in future appt. owner calls back 9:30 as I am leaving for work. I tell him I have to get to work and it is not a good time but does he have a plan to ensure the correct part next time. He complained that he has lost money and is at the mercy of the distributors and cannot open the box before sending out the technician. So I tell him I am not comfortable losing more income without his guarantee to do something differently to ensure the correct part. He has no plan to do anything differently and continues to complain that he is losing money. I tell him that is not my problem and that I have to get to work. He has audacity to ask if I still want him to order the part after accusing me of getting hostile. Um. No. We need not execute the definition of insanity repeating the same behavior and expecting a different result. I honestly don't know how they stay in business. read more

We hired Parkers for an air quality and efficiency project at our home. The TVA came out as part of the $500 rebate program and gave us a specific list of items to address in our home. Parkers crafted their statement of work around these specifications which included work in our crawl space. We were told their crew would be at our home all day (which they should have been for the fee we were charged). The crew was onsite less than 3 hours. When the TVA came back through to validate the work that was done it was determined that Parkers had skipped over several areas, all in our crawl space (which we would have never discovered). They did come back out after this was reported to them, however I would caution anyone undertaking a similar project to be careful and make sure you get what you paid for. The quality control measures were definitely not in place and we would have been duped had we not had someone auditing the work. read more
