A wonderful spot on the Burton square serving up creative takes on some traditional fare. I had the Nashville chicken served with funnel cake. While Nashville chicken may be a bit overplayed these days, there is certainly a good reason. It is delicious. Super disappointed! We live in a very small town. There are 3 restaurants to choose from and this is one of them. We are always here nice refrained from updating my review for several months. Well, I won't any longer. We went in this evening to celebrate. Ordered differently then we usually. Ordered the pork belly for our starter. Its a first for us. Very bland! The only thing that gives it any flavor is the Mandarin oranges and slaw on top. It is cooked very well, but lacks any type of actual flavor alone. Moving onto my main dish of a full rack of lamb. I was super excited, because helllloooo lamb!!! When it arrived, the presentation was beautiful, minus the asparagus thrown all over the meat. Look, I know we were the only people there, but, take some pride in your presentation! Took my picture and started at it. First bite and I couldn't get my teeth through it! Neither could my husband. So, we looked and the meat was raw! Now, in most cases, lamb is served medium rare. Which is a perfect temp of pink amd reds, warm middle. This? This was purple and red, cold middle with some frozen parts. The outside had a very little sear to it. Now, in all about rare, when the occasion calls for it. In this case? The occasion didn't call for it. Eapeicially at almost $50! I went to find the server and handed her a chunk of cold meat. The manager then came to the table. Here's where it gets interesting. Mark, oh Mark. You have the potential to be such a nice young man. When you're not trying to belittle your customers. For real! This man was trying to tell me over and over again, its medium rare. Uhh, by who's standards? He then told me to stick to medium when I go out. He kept trying to talk kver me like I was a petulant child and when I showed him a picture of the RAW meat, he said. That's medium rare! No dude, it isn't. That's raw meat!! Moral of the story is. We were weekly patrons of this place. I don't think we'll come back. The food is great one week and subpar the next. The staff is always excellent. Management needs to work on their communication skills a bit. All in all, spend your money elsewhere, it isn't worth the drive. See pictures. I can't say enough about this place! First walked in... I thought typical NE Ohio old restaurant. We sorted fast- drinks were awesome- selection was standard. Until the food came out- WOW. We got meat & cheese board- hot oil w peppers and flat bread.... All 10/10. Not kidding! And I'm the picky eater ever!!! Everyone ordered different things- yet we all agreed--EXCELLENT FOOD!!! This place was recommended to us by my sister who lives nearby. My husband and I went for a lunch date while in town from NC and loved it! We sat outside on a deceptively beautiful sunny day for Ohio, the atmosphere was lovely. We ordered two drinks, burrata for an appetizer. He ordered the duck lo mein, and I got the salmon. Everything was very flavorful! The only thing that was not great was the red skinned mashed potatoes which was lacking flavor/salt. I wish I could give 4.5 because it wasn't perfect. We waited 45 minutes, never once did anyone come check on us that whole time. They were not busy. There was staff everywhere but it was like we were invisible. We paid for our drinks and left. A quaint little restaurant in a small town. You can eat in or dine outside. Loved the different variations of menu choices... a little for all to enjoy no matter what you enjoy. Having passed Warren's Spirited Kitchen many times on weekends, always seeing it busy, and having it recommended by friends, we finally decided to give it a try for dinner on Sun., 09.20.2020. Overall, we were satisfied. Being unseasonably cool, we chose to dine inside though the patio does have a heated tent. The speed & attentiveness of service was good, the food was good & well proportioned, & the atmosphere was pleasant. A few issues: they were out of salmon, the dessert menu is largely nonexistent, & it is overpriced. I have had comparable meals in similar settings for up to 30% less. We were in town for my father's funeral. We had an Airbnb nearby. Needless to say I was not in any mood to cook. The first night my 2 adult sons and husband arrived we went for a quiet dinner. We sat in the enclosed patio area and it was lovely. My husband loved his salmon, I had the duck- delicious. I have one Keto son and one gluten- free son. They were very accommodating with their orders. On our last night just my husband and I went and ate at the bar. I had to try the elk and it was terrific. The cocktails were strong (and much needed). Recently dined on the patio. Weather was lovely and the food was delicious. I had the brined pork chops. They were served with balsamic sauce that was very flavorful. It came with a vegetable hash kind of thing that was also very good. It had sweet potatoes and some other yummy veggies and was perfectly seasoned.My husband had the salmon and said it was very tasty as well. We had shared a piece of carrot cake, which had good flavor but was just a little dry. Our server was attentive and fun. A very good meal. read more

This is our 4th visit to Warren's and we brought another couple who thoroughly enjoyed it! My spicy mule was perfect, my husband had their old fashioned. Stopped by for lunch on a very snowy Dec 30th 2017, attracted by the idea of well prepared local food, and we were not disappointed. We had an excellent meal of squash soup for starters, followed by the organic salmon & veggie paella entrees. Sat by the windows facing the road, warmed by the heater vent running along the floor, with a local beer, beautiful company, and the perfect view of the snow falling outside. What more could you ask for? How about just-attentive-enough staff who knew exactly when to appear and when to fade away, leaving us to enjoy the moment to ourselves. We topped it off with the Amaretto Cake A La Mode, and walked out with a feeling of content bliss. This is possibly the best restaurant experience I've ever had in Geauga County. The service was attentive without being intrusive. The menu was creative, without being overly ambitious. They do what they do, and they do it very well. We had the crab dip for an appetizer, which was complex, without being too heavy. I opted for the Burton steak sandwich which was accompanied by rosemary french fries, and my wife had the frittata with crispy potatoes. I won't go into too much detail on the entrees except to say that they were delicious! Well worth the trip to beautiful Burton to experience this charming restaurant. read more

Linda and I were joined by her two fellow college grads for an evening get together. Since we are spread all over NE Ohio, a half-way point was chosen. Congrats, Warren's Spirited Kitchen you were the lucky place. BUT WE WERE the lucky ones! What a find for us! Briefly reading the past reviews, this sounded like the perfect spot for us. When the gals gather, we seem to be the last ones in the spot since there is tons of catch up to be had. So we dined! One of the key highlights for us, is Craig Bednarek's (the owner and I think our server during the evening) use of home grown items. Brews from Ohio; food from Geauga County and Ohio; simply Ohio grown. Two words---WELL DONE! They have a very good beer selection and versed in all tastes from well known local breweries. The cocktail selection is unique and since they use home grown mint, Mojito's were one the drinks picked. They also were able to make THEIR "Skinny Mule" fat for me (used regular Ginger Beer not diet) bring it on! Steve chose one of the local Lake County wineries for his first glass (Steve is our wine aficionado), this being from St. Joseph's in Madison. Good selection he said. Appetizers: Three picked the Great Lakes Grower's Arugula Salad and gave it "THUMBS UP"! One had the Seasonal Soup, which I believe was carrot based and that also got a "THUMBS UP"! But the appetizer that stole the show was my order of the Mexican Street Corn! An ear of corn cut in quarters length way was then roasted and drizzled with otija cheese, lime, fresno & cilantro! I could have ordered two more and forget the entree. A truly special dish that I recommend not to miss. Entrees included 4 orders of the Pat LaFrieda Burger, house made white American & triple cooked fries! Cannot say enough about the tripled cooked fries. The four of us are suckers for fries and these were out of the world! Oh and the burgers-served on warm brioche buns and cooked to eachs desire, were, as one said, "to die for"! The Pork Milanese, with mustard hollandaise, potato puree & sauerkraut was picked, as was the Turkey Au Poivre, with country ham, peppercorn gravy, sage & potato puree. Again the diners raved about their dishes. Truly a great meal was had by all. Sadly no room for desserts, but that will be a trip in and of itself. If you are not familiar with the Village of Burton and this special place, I highly recommend you get your Google Map going, and take a trip out east. You will not be disappointed. They have a great patio and on our visit, they had heaters going to give a nice touch to outdoor dining in the fall. The gals wanted to dine inside, and when we left for the night, they all said the weather was made to eat outside and we disappointed not to have done so. This place is really cute. I had never been to Burton before, but this place fits right into the quaint little town. The inside is cozy with tables and a big bar in the main seating area. There is also an enclosed patio full of windows which is where we sat. To start, they had a good drink menu. They had a variety of beers, many of them made in Ohio. My mom (a non-beer drinker) even found her favorite beer here-Wild Ohio Mango and Hops. For food, we had the Heirloom tomato salad to start and split a cheese burger. The heirloom salad was simple and delicious with fresh ingredients and feta sprinkled on top. The burger was great too, but the fries were my favorite. They were fried 3 times so they had a great crunch, and there was a hint of rosemary which was a nice touch. If you are in the Burton area, I'd definitely check Warren's out! read more

I have now been to Warren's twice and cannot get enough. The first time was my husband and I wanted to try it out since we have been driving past it since we go to Burton Public Library which is right across the street. The first time we went, we were so excited to learn all their beer is from breweries across Ohio. Nothing like Ohio pride (luckily we have a wonderful selection). We had the cheese and meat board that had such a great variety, even though we did not know exactly what we were eating sometimes, it was so delicious. The food we had for dinner was so great as well! My husband had the friend chicken and I have never seen him eat it so fast! The second time we went I took my parents. Now my dad cannot have dairy just like me and even though they have a ton of dairy on their menu, they are very helpful with making sure nothing dairy-ish lands on our plates. I ordered the salmon this time and I can honestly say this is in the top five salmon I've ever had! It was perfectly cooked with a slight crust on top. They then had it with kale, carrots, and sweet potato that was perfectly prepared that it tasted almost like candy! My dad had the burger and loved it and my mother had the salad with steak on it and couldn't get enough of it! We seriously cannot get enough of this place and when we have a reason to celebrate in the summer, we know exactly where to go for a great patio and a delicious plate with a wonderful selection of Ohio beers! read more

Really nailed it. I rarely give 5 stars, but they deserve it on this visit. It was a perfect late summer afternoon to take advantage of their dog friendly patio. Upon arrival we were seated promptly with large waters for all, including the dog, and she got a biscuit as well. My wife and I both ordered the burger and beer special, we substituted fries for potato chips, which adds a dollar(the waitress didn't tell us that, but I'll let it slide). The burger was absolutely perfectly prepared and delicious and the fries were also very good. You can tell that the owner takes pride in his place. We sat on the patio @5pm on a Saturday and whimsically mused how appetizing the passing semis and motorcycles were to the atmosphere. Looking at the cute patio from across the street creates a perception that is completely different than reality. It's almost comical as you sit there talking and in mid-sentence a passing biker's engine-revving itch will make you appear to be mouthing your words. So, think twice if the patio is why you want to eat here. Service is another story. Simply put, it's very slow. Slow for a server to return to my table and slow to receive my food. This place is way too small to be SLOW. The food, when I finally got it, was average-okay, but my expectations were much higher for this place. I recommend that you try this place and judge for yourself. I'm returning to try the inside seating and atmosphere which I thought was very cool. read more

Stumbled upon Warren's Spirited Kitchen on a cross-country road trip. We had just driven by and the patio looked so inviting that we decided to stop and check it out. It was our first real post COVID-19 dine out experience and they didn't disappoint. Our waitress Emily was a complete rockstar: Attentive, fast, personable and great at upselling by really anticipating our needs. The food was spectacular (crab dip, Cubano rolls and tenderloin medallions). If we lived anywhere close to this place, we'd definitely come back. Visited Burton today for some antique shopping and had lunch at Warren's Spirited Kitchen. The local businesses recommended it and it didn't disappoint. It's always a good sign when you walk in the entrance and the place smells amazing. The crab dip with wontons was great and I highly recommend it as an appetizer. I had the Pickle Back Fried Chicken Sandwich and it was cooked/seasoned to perfection. My wife enjoyed the Beyond Burger and said she would order it again. The garlic/rosemary fries were incredible and again cooked to perfection. I would visit Warren's again just for the fries but there are other menu items I look forward to trying in the future. read more

A gem in a small town. We were staying at nearby Punderson State Park and looking for a flavorful meal in an intimate setting. Warren's Spirited Kitchen hit on both points. The atmosphere is a mix between cozy and upscale dining. We sat near the front windows overlooking the town circle while ghouls and goblins coaxed candy from neighbors (Halloween). Our waitress was delightful and provided us with the specials plus recommendations. I selected steak medallions with the crispy chorizo potatoes and asparagus. The crispy chorizo potatoes were my favorite bite, in fact I had to battle my wife as she was sneaking potatoes off my plate as she had selected the mashed potatoes. She had rack of lamb as her main dish which was cooked to perfection with a tasty glaze and picture perfect presentation. Used to be amazing. Pretty steep decline in quality. My main fish was inedible due to saltiness. Wings over cooked. Pasta flavorless. When we left, my mom apologized to the group for how terrible the food was, like it was somehow her fault Warren's is no longer serving edible food. What happened?! This place used to be delicious. Maybe the food quality left with the "Burton Chicken." None of us will return until that dish is back in the menu, that's for sure. Especially after the collectively terrible food we all had tonight.
